I Am very sad that this spectacular place is damaging and becomes a drug market. You Pass and they offer you just like that, and not to mention the insecurity.

Pension to sleep nothing more. Do not carry a lot of luggage, because you have to climb 5 floors walking because there is no elevator or wait. Well located, next to the Plaza de Catalunya. Shared bathroom. At least it's clean.

It's tedious everything that has happened to me just asking for a reservation at this place.
Book and Cancel immediately.
It was a reservation for 15 days later, however at midnight they charged my card with the value of the accommodation.
They gave me no chance.
After my complaint they told me to pay two nights and they reembolsarian me the 85% of the reservation.
However once I did, they refused to make the refund, saying that if I did not go to sleep they could not reimburse me the money from the previous reservation.
Even if I want, I can't go to that hotel.
They're not trustworthy. They're not clear.

Super Affordable located at the 5th, at the entrance to this mythical street. A well-kept pension, new mattresses, clean sheets, fresh bathroom and super clean, towels and shower gel provided.

We were treated very well and as on the floor there were works, we were moved to another that was within walking distance. Very nice girls and every time I go to Barcelona it will become my usual hotel. Highly recommended on my part!

Pitiful "hotel, " and in a pitiful state. To start and the worst is the rise of 5 floors by a steep staircase that almost is not fit. They say it's a third, but it's 5 floors. Just arriving there is no sign announcing anything, you have to call them to see if it is the building. And the rooms of Pena, seem taken out of a horror movie and with little hygiene and care. Experience to never repeat.

We paid €310 for 4 nights for a small room without ac or a simple fan, mattress with blood stains, very humid room, and cockroaches, just one toilet for all the guests. Cheap doesn't mean filthy or rooms for second class people. Family with kids or younger adults deserve a clean and welcoming place. It's true that the location is great but almost impossible to sleep well, due the humidity and the heat inside the room. I asked for another mattress and the receptionist did change.

This is my first review ever of anything I have ever bought or service payed for. The hotel has no sign what so ever very difficult to find. Once you do, there is no body to check you in, you have to walk 20 minutes to another place to get the key an another 20 minutes back to this place. Rooms are hot like hell with no AC. Even if the city was at 70 degrees farenheit the room was a lot hotter than that. Because all restaurants nearby discharge their kitchen hoods at the 5th level were we were. The place is advertised to be on a 3rd floor but it is really on the 5th with no elevator. This is the worst place I have ever stay. Avoid at all cost.

This place is very difficult to find, it does tell you when you book that it's on the fifth floor at 133 address, however there is no signs of the hotel on the street whatsoever. We had a late check in and we're advised to go to Barcelona City Apartments, we did and was not the correct place. We were then advised to go to barcelona city hotel again on the fifth floor was the reception. They were helpful. Otherwise this hasn't been the best experience. The rooms are bigger than average hostel, the bathroom was nice and redone, shower is still small (one person) the heater is a little portable floor model. It's warm enough anyway but has a very bright light. I think you're getting what you pay for, it definitely needs a sign. We literally looked for 3 hours.
