Elevator broke, can’t sleep for the noise in the street, not a good hotel. Never again will I stay here!

Clean, friendly, historic, center of town. Lovely!

I love love love this Hotel. Would stay forever if I could. Barcelona stole my heart and one of the reasons is Hotel Continental. Such friendly staff. Very clean. Great value for money. Best location in Barcelona. Amazing to sit on your balcony and watch all the people go by on Las Ramblas. Always something going on. Was there during La Mercè Festival — what an experience! My mom and dad — Neels and Alta Brits — are the biggest fans and stayed there so many times. They took me on two occasions. Thank you for precious memories. Good luck with re-opening Jose Maria. Horrible customer service.

When a business is unable to provide a service you paid for a refund should be offered. That is not the case with Hotel Continental.

Hotel is closed and cannot service reservation, refused to refund money. During this time of upheval, instead of doing the ethical and right thing, they choose to use this upheval to take advantage of foreign travelers, who can not conftront
them or use there legal system to be compensated with the return of money. They did try to provide a voucher to be used in a limited future date, which is highly unlikey I can or will ever use. If they can offer voucher they can just return our funds. Even the airlines who cancel flights are required by law to refund. This is a shameless act on ther part taking advantage to travels who have no recourse and they know it.

The breakfast is nothing like the pictures. I was very disappointed. Only good thing with the hotel is location and the shower.

I love the location of this hotel. They have a nice continental breakfast. They have clean, roomy bathrooms, and it’s very cozy.

Stayed in April 2019 and will definitely be back. Perfect location with beautiful balconies over La Rambla.

Beautiful, charming, old European Hotel. We loved the balconies, the delicious buffet, wine flows like water and the energy on the plaza was so much fun.

My wife and I loved this place! You simply cannot beat the location. Right off La Ramblas and about 100 yards from the Plaza. The balcony room was great for people watching. 24 hour food and drink complimentary? Unreal. The only thing to watch for is the noise… especially if you choose the balcony room. But we knew that going in and were willing to deal with a little street noise for the location/view. If we ever go back to Barcelona we will not even look at another hotel.

This is a must stay at hotel. The staff here are amazing and always willing to assist. This place is in the heart of Barcelona and has quick access to shopping and transportation.

We just arrived today post cruise and it is an excellent choice. 24 hour food self serve beer, wine yogart. Extreme coffee machines. This is better than on the ship. We will become regular guests. — с Joanne Ullery.

Stayed at this quaint hotel February 2nd till February the 5th 2019.
The hotel was lovely and situated at the top of las ramblas close to everything.
the staff were very friendly and provided us with a bottle of cava for my boyfriends birthday. The all day buffet was a bonus.
Overall I would thoroughly recommend this fabulous hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

We stayed at Hotel Continental several days before a cruise and returned after our cruise. Absolutely one of the best places we have stayed worldwide. Our room, complete with a small table and chairs faced the Las Ramblas. The 24 hours food bar gave us a little bit of European flavor along with some good favorites as well. The main staff spoke English plus several other languages. We have referred many folks to this wonderful location all coming back with rave reviews.

We stayed for 3 days before a cruise and the back for another 2. I can't speak highly enough of this place. Staff are excellent, location perfect and the 24hr free buffet includes beer & wine on tap, soft drink and the food is beautiful.

The location can't be beat — hotel is directly on Las Ramblas, a charming bustling thoroughfare which is central to most anything/it is adjacent to Barri Gothic, Plaza Catalunya and an underground subway station stop is close to the front door. What the hotel lacks in decor, it makes up with: great service, 24 hour free buffet, including free drinks: Pepsi products, fruit sodas, instabrew coffee (Espresso/Latte), white wine and Estrella beer on tap. The breakfast buffet had pastries, multiple varieties of bread/toast, fresh fruit, prepared eggs including baked/boiled, spinach or carrot casserole, charcuterie, yogurt. Beds are very comfortable. We had a inside room, so we really enjoyed sitting on the small balcony off Reception (1 floor above street level) and enjoying cold beer while taking in the sites of Las Ramblas. There is also an open air balcony off the back of the lobby. They provide free wi fi, and have a free shared computer to hop online. Posh this is not, but we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay here again.
