We just had our wedding on 29.10.22. I am in awe with professionalism of the staff. A great thank you to Janine for co-ordinating our big day, job well done. We highly recommend. Janine and team you made our day stress free and flawless. Our guests enjoyed your classy venue.

The layout and gardens and decor just look like 8 star ⭐️ pretty and luxurious. The food was excellent. The seafood platter was outstanding. Our lunch date with friends turned out to be 7 hours. Thank you thank you. 🍷

A beautiful high tea in memory of a departed loved one. Solomon was excellent, gracious and knowledgeable and offered to take many photos for us. The spread we got was delicious, each creation unique and scrumptious — you know it’s delicious when you can’t decided which is your favorite. Gorgeous array of teas. Between the table I think we tried 6 different ones. High tea was followed by a stroll through the exquisite gardens, guided by the map printed on the menu. Thank you Solomon and Cellars for a memorable day.

Lovely setting in the beautiful Constantia. A perfect luxurious experience. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful and the presentation made it even taste better, and so was the breakfast. The treatments at the Spa was a very special experience. Great products were used and the beauticians are very well trained and knowledgeable.

Amazing service and a high tea to experience!

The new High Tea is superb. Visited on Friday 1st July, and the food is delicious, the presentation is fantastic and the staff are friendly, cheerful, professional and knowledgeable, and the grounds are beautiful.

The incredible delicious high tea was the highlight of my birthday. Totally recommend it.

Delicious High Tea enjoyed on the terrace with views of the gorgeous manicured gardens and the mountain. Super friendly staff. The treats were a mix of sweet and savoury — lovely selection. The tea was piping hot — all in all an experience not to be missed.

I have always been made to feel s a very special guest and visitor. The staff are always very courteous, helpful and kind. The atmosphere at Cellar Hohenort is very pleasant, calming and serene but also a lively place to suit any occasions. I love the Sunday lunches and the freshly made scones. Chef Paul Nash and his team serves absolutely divine food. The Christmas menue was absolutely fantastic.
The wine list match perfect the menus, perfect wines for each dishes.

We were fortunate enough to celebrate my daughter’s 21st Birthday yesterday with a High Tea at The Cellars-Hohenort. We were blown away by the outstanding service, friendly staff, exceptional food and stunning venue. Emma’s help with the planning from beginning to end was so appreciated and yesterday the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and nothing was too much trouble. I am sorry I don’t remember everyone’s names — there were so many and you were all wonderful. We cannot thank you enough for making Erin’s 21st a huge success and a truly memorable day.

What an experience we had at this amazing place. We visited this hotel last week as it was a honeymoon surprise destination from our sister and boy did we love it. The place is just out of this world, very peaceful, green gardens, a gem hidden away deep in Constantia. The service in the restaurant was top notch, rooms where beautifully furnished and well kept. We really loved it and we surely will be back for tea's and scones. Thank you to each and every one who made our honeymoon special will most definitely come again…

Dinner with French friends at the Greenhouse at Cellars-Hohenhort over the weekend. Without a shadow of a doubt one of the finest fine dining experiences that I have had in Cape Town. Our French friends rate it at a minimum 2-star Michelin level! Chef Peter Templehoff is a magician.

The hotel is built in the old Cape Dutch style. Very Grand. The food is really good and the service too. We attended a conference and stayed at the hotel. Conference rooms range from very large to cost rooms for smaller groups. Do take walks and hikes in the surrounding area.

It’s a destination in it’s on. We were blessed to stay in the Nelson Mandela villa. It feels like home. The staff is absolutely amazing. We were tired from traveling and wanted to order room service. They sent a waitress from the restaurant and delivered the restaurant food over the room service. The villa is beautiful. It has a Private pool and fireplace. The grounds are gorgeous. I highly recommend.

Where do I start? At the extremely friendly and professional staff? The gorgeous meals? Or my personal favourite; the view which draws you in as the sunlight peaks through the tree's. I have never been so delightfully impressed as I have been with the the Hohenort Hotel! When we return to SA, you will DEFINITELY be seeing us again.

This place is very nice, definitely for tourists as it’s extremely expensive and offers very low value for money.

We had a fantastic picnic in the gardens. Home made bread with snook paté, fresh salad from the garden and, to top it off, superb scones with cream and home made strawberry jam! Really wonderful!

We took a guest for high tea today. This is not our first time as we love your grounds. Unfortunately although the staff is friendly, they are not professional. I had to ask 3 times for an ashtray and got it on the 4th try. Although you were not busy we had to wait quite a long time for drinks to arrive, they gave 2 place mats and not 3, 2 sets of cutlery and napkins I had to get up and ask for another set of cutlery and napkin and only got cutlery. When I ask for my napkin they said you were out and gave me a black cocktail napkin. Did not offer tea or coffee had to call them to ask for it and I had to go inside to get my bill and pay, Ct card machine was not on charge and I could not get my copy of slip. I paid R1000.00 tip including for very poor service. I do Love your surroundings and the garden and ducks are beautiful, service is another story, so sad.

We've enjoyed a great lunch there, and it was really good and not quite expensive as we expected. The doorman was not that polite when we said we hadn't booked but the manager could easily handle it putting us inside.

Exclusive and generally divine. Lovely gardens, tranquil, 'The Greenhouse' is a superb dining experience, congruent with Cape Town's exceptional foody reputation/rating.

Fire was going and it was nice and warm inside service was great.

High tea was divine, perfect bite size tastings of everything. We sat outside on the terrace listening to the ducks enjoying a sunny and cool spring day and then explored the gardens, full of blossoms and fantastical magical pathways.

Good level of service and etiquette all round, quality furnishings, finishes and design, layout. Not your usual commercial 5 star hotel. Food was excellent as usual.

We had a wonderful 10-day stay here. Beautiful hotel, nice rooms and very quiet. The staff goes out of their way for you. In the evening there is a turn-down service and it feels lovely to come home after dinner, finding your room ready for the night. We regularly spent some time in the bar area, working or relaxing with a cup of coffee or a gin-tonic. Breakfast outside makes the experience even more amazing. What a view! Only negative point: the weak Wi-Fi…
