Beautiful inn with lovely hosts and great food.
Idembe Heritage is a real hidden gem, it has a rustic charm combined with amazing hospitality. Sitting on one of the terrasses you have a great view of the fields below, can watch some huge birds fly by, taste some local rice dish and enjoy life.
After dinner our hosts started a cozy fire and we had a nice fireside chat with them.
The room was simple but nicely done and impeccably clean.
Overall it was great value for money and we had a good time. Definitely recommend to go there.

The place is fantastic: well designed small hotel in the middle of the nature but close to the village. The owner and the personnel are five star rated: helpful, understanding, smiling. When you visit Idembe don’t hesitate to visit the rice fields, the neighboring villages and the famous logistic center Zipline. Of course, there always are some problems and misunderstanding but at the end you will only remember what was good. And all in all our two night two day staying was GREAT.

Idembe is a hidden gem that I can't recommend enough. The professionalism, views, cleanliness are all above-par, you'll see, but I'd argue the star of this place is the food. I'd suggest you try the full fish dish and the Idembe rice specialty. An absolute must-try if you're in Muhanga!
P. S: The owner was very friendly and agreed to share a meal with us upon our invitation.

Amenities comprise Wi-Fi, a study area, clean rooms with hot water, a bar, restaurant and bonfire at nightfall and outside parking.
The rooms just as the rest of the premise offer a refined decoration that allow your mind to just unwind.
The nearby marshland provide a natural breeze and at night a beautiful and peaceful music of nature orchestered by frogs and cricket.
The staff is attentive and make sure you have a pleasant stay and lack nothing.
Whether you travel in group or solo, want to private group getaway or party… you are settled.

A Culinary Gem in Muhanga!
Idembe Heritage Restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food was superb, showcasing the richness of african cuisine. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel valued throughout our visit. Owner Afro's warmth and hospitality added a personal touch that made our experience unforgettable. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience. We'll definitely be returning.

I visited IDEMBE HERITAGE twice in January this year. As a tourist guide, I must confess that Idembe is a hidden gem in Muhanga district. Idembe rice combines true African cuisine, talent, and passion. The staff is attentive to visitors' requests, the place is neat, clean, and cozy.
What I like the most is the number of guided local life experiences they have, walking and hiking trails which are both educational, entertaining, and rejuvenating from busy life in the offices and cities.
Parents, I recommend you take your children to Idembe heritage. It is the best place to help them see, feel, touch, test, and taste what they know from classrooms and TV screens in real life! You will thank me later!

Visited Idembe heritage and was thoroughly impressed! The warm ambiance, coupled with a diverse menu, made for a delightful experience. Opted for Idembe rice, and it was a flavor explosion. The attentive staff, including the gracious host, elevated the evening. Clean, inviting, and with a personal touch I highly recommend Idembe heritage for laid-back and fantastic dining experience.
