Mina Hotel and Residences By the Torch

I stayed at Al Mina Hotel for five days, and it was a wonderful experience. The stay was comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the location is beautiful.
I would especially like to thank Hari from Nepal. He was kind, helpful, and attentive to both me and my child. His attitude and outstanding service made our stay more enjoyable. I hope that the hotel management will recognize his efforts and consider rewarding him, as he truly deserves appreciation for his dedication and professionalism.
I would also like to share a note for improvement. The bed linens had an unpleasant smell, which affected the comfort slightly. In addition, the lunch served at the restaurant did not meet my expectations in terms of quality.
Also, I was very bothered that I had booked a marina-view room well in advance, but I was given a city-view room instead!

This hotel is far from a 5-star standard.
We tried contacting the reception several times, but no one responded, which was very frustrating. We also raised a complaint and received no follow-up at all.
We stayed for 3 nights, and on 2 nights we were woken up by fire drill alarms, making it very difficult to sleep. This was especially inconvenient during a major tournament in Doha, when proper rest was essential.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, and there are many better hotel options in Doha.

First visit to this hotel as I had a restaurant reservation, where the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, very bad valet service, made me wait 10 minutes just to give me my parking ticket. My issue was with one certain individual who had the ticket machine in his hands but refused to serve me and went ahead to serve other people that came after me. His colleagues were talking to him about me because 1) I am the only one standing waiting for them. 2) I was the one who asked them about the ticket (something they should do because its their job) but he was holding the machine in his hands for dear life until he was done serving the other people and gave it to his colleague to give me the ticket. Just plain out rude.

Upon check-in, the receptionist asked me for a deposit, saying it would be refunded upon departure. However, when I checked out, they said I had already paid by card and the refund would be processed in 20 business days. The process was confusing, and the staff were neither friendly nor helpful. Their behavior made the experience unpleasant. The hotel desperately needs to improve its customer service at the front desk. I hope management will address this issue seriously, as guests deserve better service. I do not recommend this hotel until the staff's behavior improves.

I booked this hotel to get some rest during my layover. All night long there was construction work going on inside the hotel, and it was absolutely impossible to sleep. This was my worst stay ever, and I would not recommend anyone to come here.

This hotel is exceeded all expectations. With hands on staff that ensures every single one of your desires is met, you truly feel welcome and relaxed when staying here. The breakfast was outstanding, with fantastic service and Steven recommending delicious local cuisine, this truly is a remarkable hotel for ensuring you get the best out of your experience in Qatar.

The hotel is located in a macaron-style building complex. Whether you are lying in bed in the morning and looking at the sea view under the sun, or returning to your residence in the art district at night, it is refreshing. What is even more commendable is the overall service of the hotel, which is worth coming.

Had high expectations based on the reviews and (5 stars) rating of the hotel. Location was good with lots of shops within walking distance, staff were generally ok some didn't appeared too friendly. Room was small and underrated as a 5 stars hotel, overall an average stay. Would rate it as a 3 stars hotel.

Wonderful setting and luxurious hotel. Both the decorations and the services were enjoyable. Excellent for relaxing. Your residence gives you a sense of comfort. Excellent restaurant and dining areas. Close to the ocean.

This was my first stay at the hotel, and I booked a three-bedroom apartment. The apartment was clean, well-organized, and spacious, making the stay very comfortable. What I liked most was its location in a relatively quiet area, offering peace and privacy. However, there are limited nearby attractions, so driving is necessary to reach more lively areas. Other than that, I believe this hotel is more suitable for families.
