Let me start by saying the aesthetics of the building, Beach front view, casino and a pool bar was beyond amazing. Excellent service friendly staff. Highly recommend to anyone to visit this location! Do not hesitate do it. Shout to Fabian top tier bartender. He was very professional and respectful young man. He deserves a raise very attentive to his customers.

Friendly service, clean, and organized. Had the most amazing sweet treat at Banana Cafe: it's called the Joe-Nash Delight. It's a special request, so you'd have to ask Mr. Nash for it. JOE-NASH DELIGHT… Warm toasted Danish below two scoops of vanilla, strawberry topped with marshmallow cream, granola and strawberry or Caramel giclee. Created by Capt. Second time visiting Puerto Rico and second time around staying at this hotel that shows we loved it as much the first time. Staff members very professional Friendly food very affordable rooms are very clean and finally the view couldn’t be more beautiful.

This is a beautiful resort with wonderful eateries, all situated on the beach. My absolute favorite, though, was my experience with Arelis Gonzalez. She's a restaurant supervisor, who went totally out of her way to make our dining experience and stay magnificent. I, sincerely, have plans to come back solely because of how absolutely amazing she was to me and my friends. If you need anything, ask Arelis!

I wanted to share our great experience with our server Glenda. Out of all the time we were here she was the only one that actually went above and beyond and making sure we were ok. She was attentive and friendly. Thank you Glenda and odamaris I’m the kitchen for being such great staff because of them I will not write a bad review on the other staff members.

Great location, beach View rooms, and restaurants. Small but nice casino. They have beach chairs and umbrellas, and the pool it's right next to the beach. We loved☀️🇵🇷

We celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday and the staff made us feel very welcomed. Our daughter is Down Syndrome. Kristine our hostess was the most attentive person ever to our daughter. This Resort is awesome and we are coming back.

It's a nice property a beautiful location, but its not the Ritz, obviously. Service is good, not excellent. Staff is slow to answer phone if you need to have something taken care of such as the safe which was locked upon arrival for some reason.

Great place to stay! very friendly atmosphere and staff is very welcoming!
The only fault I found was the shower is very slippery and could use a mat or shower gravel tape strips!

Nice place, I stayed for 2 nights but I couldn’t sleep well because of the dusty rugs on my room and the bathroom air vent, in addition the bathroom sink was clogged and in the pool one of the bar tenders didn’t gave me a bucket of ice I asked for, she instead gave me a little cup of ice. It’s a nice place but I’m not sure it has this areas covered in their cleaning list (Rugs and vents). I would give it a 3/5

Valet Carlos has been awesome. Very knowledgeable making suggestions about the island. Resort is very well maintained and clean.

They do not have control or measure temperature when entering second they have no distancing at all third they gave us a key to a room that was marked empty and they still had their guests ready, no manager ever came out to apologize … I recommend going to another they are super irresponsible. Whoever wants to be in danger of falling ill with covid better look elsewhere.

Halfway through our vacation and we could not be happier with the service and personal at this hotel. The amenities are plentiful and well proportioned. Love the pool area and pool bar. We feel very welcomed and will make this a top location for next trip as well.

Fantastic Lunch on the back veranda overlooking the ocean. Front dest staff was amazing, bellman were friendly and helpful and the wait staff were super attentive. This was a quickie, but I can't wait to come back and stay for a week.

Gorgeous! Still under renovation and repair from the hurricane, but seemed like they were working very quickly. We were upgraded to a giant room with a view and it was spectacular. Hotel staff was always friendly and polite. We will definitely be back to stay again and can't wait to see if after the repairs are complete.

Extremely nice hotel. Casino on the ground floor, also a convenience store restaurant and bar. Right on the beach with excellent service. Very friendly and helpful staff. The valets are absolutely wonderful. There are Hamic’s on the beach and chairs and umbrellas the table set up for you all you have to do is ask. There is a bar in the pool that you can also get sodas at for the kids. Hey small hot tub and also a work out room. The business center is not very big but it has two computers a copier scanner printer and everything works.

Every time I am in San Juan I always book this hotel, right at the beach. Very nice and clean, super fast check in, friendly staff, bar outstanding, food is always super tasty, restaurant service very professional. Great job by entire staff and management.

Had my wedding here and I never thought I would use this word but it was PERFECT! Nothing went wrong! Staff was there for anything and everything we needed. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed a weekend here unfortunately we didn’t enjoy ourselves because of the Xplora fest (all type of beach sports) (May 25-27) the hotel was crowded No where to sit and relax loud music and security was being very annoying asking us our info like the room # ect. Ect. No need to ask us anything we had our bracelets indicating we were staying there. If we knew about this event definitely we’ll booked somewhere else. Took a few pictures the morning we left I hope you enjoy. Overall It’s a beautiful beach front hotel minuets from airport convenient to walk to near restaurants. (Police is always around) good to visit with teenagers.

My husband and I visit PR. We stayed on the courtyard Marriott in Isla Verde. We love it. We definitely recommend this hotel everybody is so nice and clean. After the hurricane last year we didn’t know how everything was gonna be but everything was so nice we will definitely go back. The only thing it was some construction going on on the front entrance, But that’s understandable.

By the beach, miles and miles if it. Great food and amenities. Smaller rooms but with everything that you need inside. Close to a ton of restaurants and stores in Isla Verde, next to the San Juan airport.

Over priced and the price you see online is not what you pay, not by far, most of the employees are too busy on their phones to help and they are quick to tell you it's not their job, and to go find some one else. There are a couple of bright spots, a waitress named Tanelly, she is very kind and friendly and the guys in valet were also very helpful. I do not think I would return and especially not for what we paid, it was double the price advertised online.

I was put in a room right by an exit door where they were still working and it was very loud and you can tell the rooms are not all back up to part. My door was not a full door and I was not pleased had to put a towel under the door. The parking was a joke, the swipe did not work so I had to continue to get my parking validated onece by front desk and then wait to have it validated at parking and then proceed to my vehicle. I was told each day the pass should work so after going to my vehicle and getting into the car I then had to get out, walk back inside the hotel wait at front desk and then validation again and then back to the car. Terrible experience.

The rooms where nice. Had room with view on 6 floor. Beach sevice was great. They provided bug spray which a must. No-see-ums will get you worse if you dont cover up and spay. Airport noise will get to lite sleepers which is the only reason I dont give them a 5 star grade.

The location is easy to get to from the airport and lots of options within a 15 min walk. Multiple pools, hot tubs, casino and great place to have a wedding. I do wish there were more veggie options on the menus but overall a small but tasty selection of food.

Overall I thought the hotel service was very nice. The rooms were very clean and well made. The food here is beyond amazing and the outside area is a must see. My major issue I had was with the cleaning staff. While I was there the cleaning staff stone my things! I had money that they stole to be exact it was $30. Then I bought a gift for my mother and it was in a white bag on the counter and I come back after time at the beach and notice it was missing. I was leaving the day I noticed it and I thought I might have packed it. Wrong again, it was not in my bag. I thought this hotel seemed trustworhty with my belongings just know that if you stay here don't bring anything you won't mind being stolen. It happened to me with two things and im sure its happened to other guests.

Very disappointed. I know they are still recovering however, at 630am, they were pounding on our ceiling. We were in the best rooms over $300 a night to get waken up with pounding all 3 nights. I was not happy and neither was my husband. Went to front desk and nothing was done.

If you're going to PR, don't stay anywhere else except Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort! The property is beautiful, clean and right on the beach (where I had the best massage! ). Every single employee I was greeted by was courteous and friendly. Julio the bartender does fun tricks while you dance in the pool to an awesome soundtrack including Marc Anthony and Gente de Zona while Pedro and Carlos bring you amazing drinks. Stephanie at the desk always has a smile on, Seashell was a gem by the pool area, & Darnell at the concierge was helpful when I needed bus directions to Piñones beach. I did NOT want my trip here to end and I will be staying here every time I return to PR. Thanks for the amazing stay!

Great location, only 5 minutes from the airport. The staff was friendly, the restaurants have great food. You have to try the Pina Colada. Amazing view of the Beach. Has a swim up bar with good music and good drinks. The Casino was small but I did'nt go there to play the slots. Had a great time and can't wait to go back.

If you haven't visited the San Juan area, this Isla Verde location offers a nice beach with water and surf conditions slightly less heavy than resorts on Condado. Service is good and rooms are older but reasonably clean. It's one of the furthest resorts out on the main stretch of Isla Verde and a little bit of a walk to restaurants and shopping. If you have a rental car they offer validated parking where you can come and go with card access to the garage. Downsides are minimal but should be considered depending on the purpose of your visit. Location is a little ways out from San Juan and other local resort areas but also right next to the airport (along with occasional jet noise). The cafe restaurant food is priced okay for a resort but most of the selections I've tried haven't been great. Their outdoor restaurant is better, but also way more expensive. If you have a package with breakfast at the café included it offers an omelette bar and is a small step up from most continental breakfasts. If you're visiting primarily for vacation, the beach is nice but the pool area can get crowded, especially with children. Although there's a bar built into one part of the pool there doesn't seem to be an enforced or separate adults-only section. Also no smaller, more private hot tub areas like some other local resorts. Bottom line summary is it's an average experience.

Beautiful facility (but not at all a resort) and the staff are really nice. HOWEVER: at 7am Monday morning the “facilities” crew began drilling and hammering next door. It was impossible to sleep. Then we tried to get our clothes laundered (but the machines were broken (typical, I’d heard from staff). BREAKFAST: I would have assumed that at $360/night you get breakfast—nope. “Resort Fees” (read: 20% extra TAX) which is supposed to apply per your entire stay, was charged to us each day—a little scammy bonus for the hotel. Anyway, I’d take a look around before you book with Marriott Isla Verse any time soon.

I was here for a wedding and it goes pretty well. Clean rooms, and pretty good food. It takes a bit with the food and the craps table is only open certain hours.

My favorite place was the hot Bar; I was eight days ago and no longer have live music or dancing, I felt very disappointed, it was the best!

A typical big chain hotel, when some very nice beachfront location. The pool area is quite comfortable, with a couple of bars located nearby and one of them right inside the pool. The staff is quite friendly, and the views are certainly nice, especially in the morning and in the afternoon. It offers hammocks, umbrellas and towels in the beach area.

Visit the same and I stay after the hurricane and the rooms were smelling of moisture and fungus. The remodeling is being made and the 7am are making noises and movements. That is not to mention Q in I fell in the casino bathroom as it was wet by filtering and I am waiting to communicate with me as I carry documents to be attending doctors.

Nice view of the ocean, Only one real restaurant, which got old real quickly. Numerous times the elevators were broken in the parking garage. Cable and power went out numerous times. Only two working elevators, sometimes only one.

This IS The best hotel to stay at in the Carolina beach area. Family friendly, yet provides that privacy for couples only retreats! Has a great casino, bar and restaurants. They have daily activities to keep you entertained and is close to local food, culture and water activities. Close to the airport. Great for family trips and pre or post cruise.

Very close to the airport. Best to use Uber. As soon as you get in and walk to the back the beach is literally right there. Beautiful. If you get their early that's okay because they hold your bags and give you complimentary drinks. Very nice stay. Rooms are clean and staff is very nice.

I had the amazing opportunity to stay here before, during and after Hurricane Maria had passed through and was absolutley blown away by the kindness, sincerity and professionalism of the entire staff. Even in the middle of it all, they remained calm and made sure that everyone was taken care of to the best of their abilities. They treated us as if we were their own family who they themselves had been separated due to Maria and that will always be remembered. Best hotel experience of my life… Thank you.

We can not say enough about this phenomenal hotel! We came here for vacation. They ended up helping us through a category 5 hurricane. Their staff is amazing! They are extremely accommodating! When we return, we will definitely be staying here again!

This day was great. The rims was nice. There was even a cool bar inside the pool that you could get great strawberry smoothie from. Great place to take the kids.

Make sure you check your bill thoroughly. They tried to sneak a parking charge for 5 of my 7 nights. I noticed right away and had them remove it when I checked out. They still went ahead and tried to charge it anyways. I had to contact the Marriott customer service department before I could get them to do anything about it. Finally refunded the extra charge, but were anything but apologetic about the hassle. Very shady business practice. They charge a resort fee of $25 a night, which includes pretty much nothing but being on the beach. The rooms are fairly dated and definitely look much better in the pictures than they do in real life. I certainly wouldn't stay here again. Go for another location if you stay in San Juan.

Great location on the island. Local park and natural shore line features make this feel like a private beach! Restaurant choices are excellent and reasonably priced. Staff always went above and beyond making sure all our needs and expectations were met. Rooms were exceptionally clean and decor modern and up to date.

Rooms could use a bit of paint but the service so far has been great. Food at the restaurant is good but breakfast is not included. Rooms are nice and clean and stocked.

I attended a friend's wedding at this resort last summer. The resort is beautiful, the food was pretty good, but it is far from Old San Juan and the only transportation is overpriced cabs. Also my friends wallet was stolen out of her room, and an android tablet was stolen out of my room. They have a disclaimer in the room that they are not responsible for stolen items, apparently it is for good reason. We were only out of our room for two hours in the evening and had the "do not disturb" sign on the door, so somebody must have been scoping out our room. If you stay in this hotel, keep your valuables in the safe every time you leave your room!

This hotel is absolutely breathtaking… BUT. DO NOT eat anything at the swimming pool area. I peeked behind the bar looking for something enticing to eat and encountered absolute disgust. The poor cook was battling flies and was loosing hands down! He could not keep up with the shooing of twenty or more flies. When I expressed my disgust, he admitted he could DO NOTHING MORE. Though he DID NOT throw the onions and lettuce away, at least he threw the chopped up chicken into the trash. Needless to say I DID NOT eat there nor purchased anything for my family. And yes… we went hungry, only eating junk food from the snack bar inside the hotel. Not a pleasant afternoon. That stand should be COMPLETELY eliminated and the food should be prepared inside the hotel!

This is by far the best Marriott I have been to! I love it! When you walk in you are greeted and all the staff is so friendly! The check-in process is simple & they really make sure they answer all of your questions and help you if this is your first time staying! THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL! THE COMPLIMENTARY 2 hour BIKE RENTAL IS AMAZING! I just love it! I don't have anything bad to say about this place! :)

Bananas fast food counter needs to improve in service time. The attendants are friendly and respond well to food serviced at counter. Any food ordered in menu and passed on to the kitchen/restaurant takes well over 45minutes. A sandwich… Since 2008 I have pointed this out and some things never change!

There was a bug infestation that bit half of the resort up during our stay. We advised the staff which came to the room and put on a great performance with flashlights and stripping the bed looking for bed bugs. We were told it was an invisible bug called "nosay" that off would take care of. The off didn't work, nor the hydra cortisone. I spent $2600 on 2 room for 4 nights and it was the worst vacation of my life! please, call and check to see if it has been corrected before you book, do not sign any agreement before you check in because in that contract it say somethong about not refunding monies… tell them you will sign when you check out and if they don't agree make a notation on the contract before you sign and have a manager initial it.

The resort seemingly proved to be a fantastic housing choice for our weekend getaway. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The resorts location is convenient as the resort is located minutes from the airport and other popular areas on the island. Sadly I cannot give the hotel five stars. I checked into the room on March 5, 2016 and checked out March 8, 2016. Days after returning from the hotel I noticed several bite sized bites all over my body. I first attributed the bites to insects/ mosquitos. However, after speaking with three of the four guest that were in the room I was informed that they also had the same bites. The bites are extremely uncomfortable. Photos were sent from each guest and after reviewing the photos it www determined that we all were suffering from the same issue. I scheduled an appointment with a doctor only to find that I as well as my friends were victims to the feeding habits of bed bugs. I contacted the resort to inform them of my situation to be told after holding and being transferred several times and even hung up on that the doctor is wrong. The staff refused to connect me with the General Manager, stating that what I'm experiencing is a reaction from mosquitos. The individual I spoke to sought to discredit the information j provided her with. Never did they ask for photos or sympathize for the situation, rather told me I was incorrect and that others have stayed in the room and haven't called them.

Me and my sisters stayed here July 4th weekend! We had soooooooo much fun! Um I don't know where to start, like the staff was great especially the pool staff they made our stay one to remember they constantly made sure we were okay. They made sure we were fed and had plenty of drinks and made sure every time we were at the pool we wanted for nothing! Just as well as the actual hotel staff our room was clean everyday including linens. A room full of girls yes we needed towels more then the average which was restocked every time we left the room and upon request! The resort itself is beautiful honestly you don't have to leave for anything it was always something going on but we wanted to see their party strip (idk how to spell the name but if you go to the hotel website under there things to do you'll see it) you do need a taxi to get there and the fee was no more than $20 which was fine with us and YOU NEVER HAVE TO WAIT FOR A TAXI they are everywhere lol! And the hotel staff made sure to translate if the driver didn't understand clearly… Umm overall it fun and our stay was really nice I recommend everyone to stay here wether it's business romance or just a family stay heck even if your by yourself your bound to find company EVERYONE WAS FRIENDLY! I really really enjoyed myself met really great ppl! If I could have stayed longed I would of I was soooo not ready to leave lol!

Very great place for the family. Hammocks to lay in, lounge chairs and umbrellas available on the beach for hotel guests until 6 pm, nice pools, clean beach, newly remodeled rooms.

Staff are very nice. The place is very clean the only thing that ruin our stay was the noise of the planes taking off.

The hotel was nice and the views were beautiful, but it's a bit overpriced. Our room was on the fourth floor and while it was clean it was extremely humid anytime the AC was not running. My fiancé and I paid $980.00 for 4 nights, although I will note that we happened to have booked for the weekend of an annual international culinary event. The casino downstairs runs 24 hours and as long as you're playing the games they offer free sandwiches and drinks to include alcohol and coffee. They offer flat rate taxi service which can add up quickly so we opted to take the bus to Old San Juan for $. 75. The hotel also offers free bug repellent anytime you're about to go down to the beach to help prevent bites. Overall I would consider staying here again but it's definitely better to book in advance (we only booked a month out) and as a package deal.

Perfect spot if you're on vacation or business. The hotel is on the beach, and the beach is well maintained/clean in front of the Marriott. Decent prices and great staff. 3-5mins from the airport and about 20min drive from Old San Juan.

I did my research on where to stay in Puerto Rico and it paid off. This property gave us everything we wanted, clean spacious rooms, comfortable beds, mini frig, microwave, gorgeous views, beach front and easy access to the water. The beach was beautiful and we spent hours swimming, sunning and walking on the beach. We caught the bus a short distance from the hotel for a ride into Old San Juan for site seeing, exploring the city and dining out (. 75 cents each way)! The hotel has a variety of restaurants and fabulous music, dancing on Fridays, Saturday and Sunday. I read other reviews regarding hearing the planes from the nearby airport, I only heard planes a couple of times and it was midday and not intrusive. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They really went out of their way to make our stay special. You could not find a greater group of people that soon felt more like friends than employees. There are great restaurants within walking distance that have fabulous food options such as, Platos and the Metropol. There is also a Walgreens for room/beach supplies, i. E. Tanning lotions, beer, wine, etc. Apparently sand fleas are a problem in Puerto Rico, we did not experience that problem at Courtyard, but they do have complimentary Off Spray at the desk to help their quest prevent any bug bites, so you dont have to pack it or buy it there. Only complaint is having to leave to come back home to reality.

My friends and I have just returned from a five day stay. Awesome. Four hour flight from IAD, $15.00 taxi ride and you have everything at your beckon call for a great vacation. Stores and great restaurants within walking distance and great food available at the hotel. Staff could not be nicer, rooms are great, the beach is all you could ever ask for and the pools are wonderful. This is our second trip and will return next year.

Pros an Con's. Its beach front the beach is not overcrowded but watch out for the sand flies because they will bite you also you can just relax you can order drinks happy hour is by far the best from 3 to 5 you can get unlimited drinks really for $4 which is not bad. I came during Christmas so it was great when I was buffet style but other than that when you have to do a la carte it rocks up so you end up spending like $50 for a family of 3 for each meal but if you walk about a mile you're going to hit Denny's kids eat for free and there's Walgreens if you walk about a mile and a half you'll see the supermarket which we did and that actually was the best because everything closes in the hotel for food and drinks at 12 midnight so you have to gamble which I did and the $0.01 machines in order to get a sandwich and obviously a drink I'm limited sandwiches and drinks as long as you gamble. I booked through Hotwire last minute for 4 days. Also be careful everytime you say your room number because anybody can charged to your room luckily the hotel staff recognize this and immediately I fixed it. There a lot of activities to do with the kids which is great the pool and hot tub open 24 hours. There is a fitness center a shower a kids pool that you could just lay out and not be afraid that they will drown. It is the Caribbean island it is Puerto Rico so things here are just not as quick as you would like but I'm from New York so I just expect fast and here its not like that.

Great views of the beach and nice rooms. Outdoor pool and patio are right on the beach.

Stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Isla Verde 3/23-3/27. Pros: Very friendly and helpful management and staff. GREAT beach right out of the back door. Beach area is on the far edge of hotel row, and next to the public areas (which was a good thing), Great beach staff keeping us in umbrellas and chairs. Restaurants were great with really friendly staff. We had at least one b-fast, lunch and dinner during our stay. Dine at sunset on the veranda. Nice! Casino is small, but we're not high rollers and suited us fine. Cons: The resort is showing some age. Carpeting in our room was worn, but the ocean view from the room far outweighed carpeting. Conclusion — we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks for a great 4 days.

Stayed here one night, and wished I had stayed more. The hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly, the room well appointed and the bed comfy. I did not hear aircraft despite my room facing the runway which is literally across the street. The food options were a little weak especially in the evening (and also a bit pricey but what isn't in a resort? ) The casino was small but fun. The beach is literally RIGHT THERE outside the hotel which was very nice and well maintained. The pool was under construction but I'm sure it will be wonderful. If I ever return to Puerto Rico — and I really hope I do — I will look to stay here first. It was a good deal and very convenient.
