One of the cleanest hotels I have been. In the tropics and I did not see an insect or cockroaches inside the property like I saw in 5 star hotel room. We always check the room, bed especially for bedbug. If I see an ant I leave. Good job guys! especially all the workers and the pool area were all very friendly.

After living in PR for a while, I appreciate nice hotels and businesses that bring in new tourist revenue. This is a nice hotel with a nice view. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lot of PR character.

Okay guys, read this carefully. I was in San Juan during the 2017 hurricane season with my entire family. We were 8 adults and a baby. The hotel is beautiful and welcoming. San Juan was sunny and warm, we enjoyed the hotel pools and the beach. In just two days, our trip took a turn. A hurricane Irma was gaining its strength and speed, and we couldn’t get flights going out of the island. Our hotel manager, this graceful calm lady, went way beyond her ways to ensure our safety. She moved all the guests to the safer side of the hotel, where the windows were double soundproofed for the nearby airport. She had sand bags reinforce every door and gate. She made that giant hotel into a fortress! Literally a fortress, nothing could penetrate its walls. Most of the staff had to leave to be with their family. But the ones who stayed behind, were all super nice and helpful. We had water, electricity, food, and a sense of community sticking together. A resident chef went way beyond and even made us a birthday cake to celebrate my baby nieces birthday! We were on our way back to New York before the next two hurricanes that wrecked the island. We took the earliest flight because, we had to get the f out of there. The airport had no electricity, it’s a hot and humid and no water! People have been there waiting to get out of there for days. Other passengers on the flight had horrible stories. They did not have food, water, or electricity.

I visited Ritz Carlton for my birthday in February 2017, and I cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel! Upon check-in I was greeted with the most delicious cocktail and when they found out that I was visiting for my birthday, I received another complimentary treat. I felt so special. I stayed in a pool facing suite with a balcony and I loved sitting out there at night, or really early in the morning. There is a fitness center and fitness classes! It was so nice to be able to stay in shape while on vacation, and to meet and interact with different people in the fitness classes. The beach is beautiful. You have the option of remaining on the property, or walking through the magic door leading to the beach. When my friends arrived we walked around the area and took the hop on hop off bus to Old San Juan. I enjoyed learning about the history of the island and trying some local cuisine. I can’t end this post without mentioning the Photography Concierge! I could not believe that they had a free onsite photographer available to all the guests. Although there was no sitting free, there is obviously a fee for the photos. But I found the packages to be very reasonable. The photographer was professional, creative, friendly, and extremely talented. I was so pleased with how the photos came out. And having Ritz Carlton San Juan as the backdrop was just icing on the cake! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would!

My husband and I vacationed at The Ritz Carlton San Juan in July and enjoyed every day. Excellent resort with exceptional hospitality. I highly recommend you to make The Ritz Carlton your get away resort. A very special thanks to Ms. Nina.

I can't imagine spending our honeymoon at any other resort on the island. What beautiful interior design and generous staff. We were treated like royalty from the moment we entered those doors until the moment we left to catch our plane home (we definitely miss Carlos — the best door man I've met during all my travels to date! ). The beach and poolside service was always amazing! The food, including the breakfast that the check-in staff so generously gave us free of charge each morning and all pool-side and late-night snacks and drinks that we enjoyed, were incredible. We were upgraded to a junior suite with huge ocean-view windows and a luxuries all around. We were a ten-minute Uber ride from Old San Juan and many other 'touristy' locations and had such an easy time book excursions and day trips for snorkeling, hiking in the rainforest and the must-see Biobay kayaking tour! I wish we could've stayed longer! My heart is aching as I hear about the damage that Hurricane Maria brought to the island but I am optimistic that the rich culture will hold the Puerto Ricans together and unite them as they rebuild. This is a tragic event but I'm sure it will give them a chance to bounce back better than before and I'm sure we will be back to enjoy the culture, great food, and fun again very soon!

My family stayed there during Hurricane Irma and the staff took really good care of us. They took excellent safety measures before the storm hit us by moving us to higher floors. They served us breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unlike other hotels in the area, there were no power outages. They even brought a birthday cafe for my little niece. Thank u so much Nina! The general manager and the staff came to wave us goodbyes. I highly recommend this awesome hotel.

We stayed for 7 nights August 2017. The restaurants were fantastic and service was wonderful! The pool, beach and front lobby personnel ware all friendly, helpful and efficient!
The loss of a star was for housekeeping. They were always on the floor, but had to find them to get towels (took the dirty ones, but didn't replace with clean ones in the room on 2 different days) and same for toilet paper.

My husband and I stayed at the Ritz in San Juan for our honeymoon. They treated us like royalty. As soon as we checked in, they welcomed us with guava mimosas and upgraded our room. The room was beautiful and overlooked the pool with great ocean views, too. The private beach was clean and the ocean was turquoise. As soon as you walked on the beach, they brought the towels to your chair and put up the umbrella. We were able to get drinks and food down by the ocean. We took advantage of the casino on site and the restaurants. The service at Il Mulino was absolutely perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back for an anniversary in the future.

Just stayed here for our honeymoon on our first trip to Puerto Rico. The staff was excellent, very courteous and professional. Helped us with several arrangements and made sure our stay was comfortable. Sitting on its own stretch of beach, we didn't have to go anywhere to enjoy some time in the sun. The food was great and the menu had plenty of options. There were also several dining options nearby within walking distance as well as a pharmacy and grocery store if needed. Old San Juan was a 7 minute Uber ride away for access to a plethora of food and drink spots. Only suggestions I may have is to update the rooms. They seemed a bit dated, especially by Ritz standards. While they upgraded us to a junior suite with pool and ocean view, the windows were pretty dirty on the outside so our view was compromised. Overall, we'd definitely stay there again if we decided to stay in that area. Special thanks to Dominick, Abraham, Jean Pierre, and Carlos for their help during our stay.

The windows in the rooms were so filthy​ we couldnt even see the pool. Went for breakfast and found hair in my egg. At one point saw vomit in the pool and some little kid did # 2 in Jacuzzi. We were there for our 15th anniversary but it turned out to be a nightmare. I guess say NO to san juan Ritz Carlton considering how expensive it is for one night and things are not up to par. I wouldn't even stay here for free.

The check was nice. Ana was very helpful.
All of the staff was really nice.
Then we checked into our room and it smelled like mildew. We always travel with Lysol so we sprayed hoping that would work. The next day the smell was back we informed the front desk and moved to another room. They also do not inform you about the resort fee until after checkout. The wedding that we attended was lovely until cocktail hour when the chairs that was left outside had bird poop all over them.
All and all I was disappointed for it to be the Ritz Carlton.

The Ritz-Carlton in San Juan was absolutely stunning and amazing! We were treated nothing less than royalty! They kindly upgraded my room since I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday there! They have us complimentary breakfast everyday, which was not only convenient but also a nice treat! The room was really nice and the view was breathtaking. I wish I had a balcony though! Overall, the staff were kind, generous and very respectful! The cleanliness of the rooms, facilities and beach/pool area was spotless and well maintained. I cannot wait to return to SJ RC again! And we will be returning to Puerto Rico in the future. Thank you, Ritz-Carlton, San Juan for making my 30th birthday a most special, memorable one.

Beautiful, big warm pool. Easy access to beach. Great food service at front bar/ restaurant. Can eat within walking distance at 24/7 restaurant or metropol. Give babies a bag and bib that says Ritz kids. Super cute!

This is my favorite hotel ever. The staff is very welcoming, their rooms are beautiful and the scenery is spectacular!

Found the place very nice. Clean, super nice and friendly staff. Place is quiet and in an area where isn't very busy. Which is the reason why we picked it. We stayed in la concha the two days prior and is totally the opposite. So if you have the chance to visit here is a good idea to stay in a quiet place and a busy one. There Ritz is close (12$ can ride) to the airport, plane noise isn't an issue. Food at the pool bar is great. They got five restaurants for all types of food you like. Some expensive some not. Very relaxing place for spending the day by the beach, or pool. I would return for sure, didn't find anything we didn't like.

The Ritz Carlton in carolina PR. Is a very BEAUTIFUL hotel. Me and my family enjoyed our stay. The entire Staff was wonderful. They made you feel welcomed. I loved that the pool is open 24hrs. That made the end of the day relaxing. Because as we were out an about sight seeing all day, we had maybe an hour or 2 to be on the beach, as it closed at 8pm, and my husband an son felt like they needed more swim time so we went to the pool. I enjoyed the BEAUTY of the view of the hotel at night. I would and have already highly recommend this hotel. I hope to be able to stay here again some day.

Since the moment we walked in to the property we were treated very nice and respect. My husband and I decided to go to Puerto Rico for our 7th anniversary. I went back home after 10 years of not been to Puerto Rico. So that was very exciting for me and the staff definitely made it great for us with suggestions off wear to go and restaurants to visit. The only small situation that I had was the security guard. We were at the pool at about 10:00 and a rude way he was asking if we were guests and what room we were in. I think it was are young appearance that made him dough. But I dint let that ruined my impression with everyone else and the great service of the hotel.

Great hotel. Very nice pool, large casino, good bars and excellent restaurants available on the property. In addition to all this, there are couple shops where you can buy jewelry and high end watches. Staff is very friendly.

This place was extra special and we loved the special attention we received from all of the employees. In fact, we loved it so much we're going back soon and taking the kids for a family vacation! The ocean was beautiful and the sands were wonderful. Prices were good island wide! Very nice and safe place to visit.

We stayed at the Ritz for the day while waiting for our flight which was late evening. The Ritz was beautiful! The pool was well kept and the private beach was nice as well. We slept under an umbrella and enjoyed a nice lunch while there. The dessert was fantastic. The prices where high ($15 for 1 small drink) but this is to be expected at a hotel of that caliber. We enjoyed our short stay.

Great beach and pool. Drinks and food are expensive and good but not amazing. The free coffee is strictly only until 8:30 am and sometimes they remove it before that time. The elevator key card system is a bit annoying. And if you ask for a late checkout be prepared for your key to not work and for an escort to possible help you get to where you need. It is nice but there are a few fixes out there.

Went for the casino. Very nice not many card tables were open. Ones that were open were crowded or high buy ins. El San Juan had nicer decor but the Ritz had better slots and friendlier.

One of my best vacations ever! Every single aspect of our experience there was outstanding. Our expectations were exceeded. The restaurants were also amazing. We went out into town several times and the staff at the hotel was great at recommending where to visit and eat. I highly recommend this property.

I thought that the Christmas Buffet was good but I object to the fact that I was charged extra for coffee and one glass of champagne. These items should be included in the rather high price of the buffet. I usually go to the Drake Hotel in Chicago which includes coffee and champagne and a greater variety of food for a lower price. Guess the RItz is not marketing to a return trade!

Our hotel non-smoking hotel room reeked of cigarette smoke, our bedding smelled like spoiled fish and the concierge staff had no idea what they were doing. My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon and after 14 hours of travel we arrive around 10:45pm and were exhausted. We were only staying at the Ritz for the night, since our final destination was Vieques Island. Upon checking in, we asked for information regarding the ferry to Vieques, which we fully researched prior to our arrival. Both people at the front desk assured us that we could make the 1pm ferry from Farjado to Vieques and we would need to leave not later than 11am. My husband and I were relieved since we both were sleep deprived and needed more than a few hours of shut eye. Upon arriving to our room, we noticed the bathroom smelled extremely strong of cigarette smoke. We excused the smell since we were only staying there one night, ordered some room service and settled in for the night. As soon as we pulled the comforter back, our bedding smelled like a mixture of rotten fish and manure. We were both so disgusted we yanked it back. At this time it was already about midnight and I was too upset to even try and call the front desk, wait for them to send house keeping up to change our bedding or move us to another room. Again, we excused the disgusting smell, since it was only one night.
