Norte Region Hotels

Located in the historic University precinct, the hotel is modern and stylish with artsy and literary features. Delicious glass of port on arrival. Breakfast and dinners in the hotel are good.

We had a wonderful experience at the hotel.
Margarita welcomed us with great kindness and professionalism, and did her best to help with everything we asked for.

A beautiful Art Deco hotel situated close to the Mondego river and in the heart of the old city. Wonderful alleys and restaurants close by. The rooms are very clean and some have a great view.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mondego in Coimbra. The hotel was incredibly clean, modern, and very well maintained.

This is a lovely hotel, well placed just off the main road by the river. The rooms are well equipped, staff are prompt, helpful and friendly. The breakfast is excellent with lots of choice.

Easy access quality hotel with parking in central Coimbra.
This hotel is easy to access if you are driving to Coimbra. The car park is below the hotel down a ramp.

Pros:
The location is exceptionally good, very close to the main tourist attractions and on an avenue full of shops, including supermarkets.

Good location. Helpful staff. Good breakfast.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mattresses could have been softer. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back.

I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Coimbra Aeminium. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

Very nice host, great location, uncomplicated check in and check out. Top.

It's a very central place. Walking distance to everywhere.

If you are lucky you will find a parking place close by but the restaurant is a visit worthwhile. Nice service and very good food.

We now call this simple but charming hotel “home away from home”. Paula, the manager, always greets us with a smile and a quip. Everything is clean and proper.

Big room.
Clean.
Hair dryer available.

Absolutely lovely place to stay!.

The owner was delightful, and told us all about the area. Our room had access to a little terrace, with two chairs and a table.

This hostel was very welcoming, the staff was great. It is a very social hostel, it’s also very big. I enjoyed the large shower room it’s very spacious. A lot of activities to join.

The Passenger was my first hostel experience and everything about it was fabulous! The facilities are so nice and everyone staying there was so kind.

I enjoyed my stayed here. Location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. Facilities are almost hotel like. Instructions for check in and check out was provided clearly.

Perfect place to get up and go explore Porto.
Directly opposite to Sao Bento, quieter than you expect in this location.
Catarina was quick to respond.

The stuff is realy nice, espevially Fabrina and Joice breakfast was good.

An enjoyable BnB close to the University and easy Old Town access. Uber is the way to travel — cheaper than public transit with 2 or more.

A historic hotel located on the slopes of the city, close to the Rio Mondego. Both the exterior and interior feature a vintage style, making it charming for lovers of classicism.

Beautiful historic hotel with personality in a great location near the old city. The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. They have an amazing breakfast with choice of cereals and breads.

Elegant Gem in the Heart of Coimbra – Tivoli Coimbra.

Really big rooms. Decide is a little tired and could use some updating — carpets in the room need to be replaced asap. Very helpful staff.

Fantastic room, great views and just across the bridge from Coimbra. Close to everything but out of the touristy area and quiet at night. Great coffee machine in the room.

This place was so amazing, made even better with this apartment stay and the views that came along with it.
Daniel who checked us in was super friendly, allowed us to leave our bags in the office

We stayed for a month and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment is fresh and light and well laid out for comfort and convenience.

Just spent 4 days here. The hotel is in a central but quiet location. Beds extremely comfortable and the room was spotless. Nothing too much trouble for the host.

We stayed 5 nights here. What a fabulous apartment. Quite inexpensive, although we were staying in early March.

Fantastic apartments with a boutique hotel feel. The staff are fantastic, the place is spotless and has a lovely smell throughout the building. The pool is excellent with comfy loungers.

Fabulous apartment in good location with very handy for bus and metro links into the old town although walking is an easy option.

The Marques Garden House is very quiet, with our rooms leading to a charming garden with a swimming pool. The vegetation is lush, a very pleasant place.

We stayed at Olivia Garden House on Marques in Porto September 11 — 15 2025.

Nice and clean small hohel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. We felt very much at home and would love to come back one day. We liked the place being very authentic and the staff was great.

Have stayed here twice before moving to Coimbra. Recommend absolutely!

I spent a week in this charming beautiful hotel. It’s extremely clean, quiet and centrally located in Coimbra.

Great location. A 10 minute walk across the bridge to city center. Restaurants and cafes located across the street. Third floor room is not for older people or tall people.

Really nice stay, all clean comfortable and with a great design and decorating.
Location is wonderful to walk to the touristic city center (must crossing the bridge).

Our room was clean and fresh. Easy access to the University of Coimbra. Uber cost €3-5 for a ride to the entrance for tours. We were able to walk (in our 60’s) back to our room with little trouble.

Pharmacia Guesthouse is hidden in plain sight on a busy pedestrian street near the river in Coimbra. Our room was at the back of the house and was really peaceful and quiet.

Perfect location, central but still quiet. Had a lovely private courtyard and a roof top balcony. Would highly reccomend. Has full lift access too.

There are so many positive reviews that I think it’s due to the unique concept. The hotel offers cabins without windows, Japanese style.

Nothing fancy, but it does exactly what you need — a comfortable, cozy, and dark place to get a good night’s sleep.

Very beautiful place! Extremely clean and the room I got had the perfect size. Ema was extremely helpful and kind.

This was probably the best accomodation of our trip in Portugal. Excellent friendly service, nice quiet room and breakfast provided on the rooftop. Couldn’t have been any better!

Great hostel for my family of three during our two night stay in Coimbra!

One of the nicest hostels I’ve ever seen. As a couple we had a seperate room but with shared bathrooms. All seemed to be perfectly fine. Service at the counter was also very nice.

I was very happy to stay in Olopo hostel!
The staf was very helpfull and friendly! Easy and early check in! Comfortabel beds, everything was clean and spacious!

Good to stay.

Some room are for living people, some room are for guest.
Interesting experience there.

That special kind of magic of this hostel are the owners — Sara and Pedro. I spent four nights there and they have been absolutely beautiful.

Could not recommend highly enough! Pedro and Sarah were such great hosts and had unlimited knowledge of the local area including recommendations for hikes, restaurants and wineries.
