Fantastic staff and a really good atmosphere. I went for 2 nights and stayed for 3 weeks.

I've been at several Hostels in Lisbon and this one is definitely the best. Even if there are others with still higher comfort, you won't get the vibe, you'll get here anywhere else. You can really feel free, the open spaces are big and sunny with a lot of Art, creativity, pretty plants and good det
u can sleep, so it's not a pure party hostel… The Location is also very good, because its very central in Baixa-Chiado, you need five minutes on foot to get to the Pink Street and also just 5 minutes to get to the Bars uptown in Chiado, but right in the corner, where the Hostel is located it is very quiet. And the staff is the best. And that's actually the point. Because they are authentically warm-hearted they just attract the right people. Everything you need…

Good clean hostel. Friendly hosts and good location (despite the hill). I recommend this place! Plus I got lucky to have a homemade taco dinner on one of the nights I was there!

Graag hostel with good accomodations. For like 20 euros we got a good room, free breakfast, occasional dinners, tours, pub crawls, and sangria nights. Apart from that the staff is very nice and helpful, gonzalo helped us get settled in and immediately helped us with our plans for the trip. Great guy, great staff, great hostel. Definitely recommend!

Spend two nights in this charming place, ideally located in a quiet neighbourhood, downtown Lisbon (not far away from Bus, Metro &… Nightlife). The staff is really welcoming and make sure you enjoy stay (special thanks to Luciene :-) About the facilities), there is everything you might expect: nice kitchen with coffee & breakfast in the morning as well as clean showers. You can go for it.!

Sleeping in a bunch of hostels made me kind of picky, but this one is really great. The stuff was really kind and helpful, even if I got there in the middle of the night, but people that I met were real travelers who prefer hostels. I would definetly go back here:)

As of April 2019, this hostel is the one with the nicest staff I've been to. They're so nice and make people come together. Also the place is really nice and ideally located.

This hostel gives you a feeling of being home. I stayed 4 nights and it is one of the very best of most comfortable hostels I have ever stayed at — and I have traveled the world several times :) The location is supreme just in the middle of the old town area, the crew is super friendly and helpful, there is many social activities going on at the hostel, and it is very easy to get to talk to people in the common areas. I would recommend it to anyone :)

This hostel is wonderful! They are very accomodating, helpful, and just overall very nice people. The guys at the reception are legends, and they were very cool about guests joining the activities or maybe even staying a night or two! I would highly recommend this hostel for the amazing vibe!

Super home, "staff" charming, super clean and very good taste! Theme nights to meet up, very good advice to visit the city (Obrigado João). In short, a great place to sleep in Lisbon! Special dedication to Dolores (who deserves to find her ç ^^) : take good care of you ;)

Good place to stay in while you are in Lisbon. Price is around 15 euro. Breakfast is already included in the price. It is close to the main tourist attractions. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Highly recommend!

Couldn't have asked for a better first experience with a hostel, they defintely set the bar high. For anyone reading this review, look no further than Lisbon Old Town Hostel. For it would be difficult to beat the overall outstanding quality this hostel offers. (Cleanliness, sleep quality, safety, vibes, price and location. 10/10! ). Thank you to each staff member that made our trip extra special, everything from your genuine smiles to your honest tourism advice — you all certainly made it difficult to say goodbye to your lovely hostel and beautiful city. The staff is lovely, the rooms and the bathrooms are clean (and equipped with hair dryer). Free breakfast (milk, coffee, tea, different toast with a delicious homemade jam). Good location close to downtown, at the end of a very steep street (almost all in Lisbon). Totally recommended.

Very unique hostel with a touch of class. Feels like home the second you walk in the door. Great atmosphere with typical Lisboan originality.

I am surprised about the good reviews the hostel has got. We tried out 3 different hostels in lisbon and this was definitely not the best one. Some of the staff wasn't even that friendly, the breakfast was pretty poor, the door of the room wouldn't close properly, the room equipment could have been better, no curtains, for a couple staying in a double room annnoying that the two Beds didn't stay next to each other as the gap between them grew every night. Overall ok but not worth a 9.3…

I enjoyed my stay at Lisbon Old Town Hostel very much. Location is perfect, beds were comfortable and cleanliness was very satisfying. But what sets this hostel apart from other hostels is the staff. You can tell that they love their jobs and they are very good at it. They did not only answer all my questions patiently and cheerfully, but also gave me additional information that was very useful. And at night, when there were less people checking in and out, I had very intere…sting conversations with some of the staff members. If you get to choose, try to book a bed in the dorms upstairs. They are quieter and the showers are better. The best room is the four-bed-dorm upstairs. I jokingly called it the "presidential suite", because it has a non-functional chimney and if you lean out the window you can see the Tejo river. Special shout out to João. Loved your positive energy. Keep it up! Abraços.

This was the best hostel I have stayed in, thanks to the WONDERFUL staff who work there. Such a lovely bunch of people that make it a really positive relaxed atmosphere. Special thanks to Bruna, one of the workers there who took the time to help me out and find me transport back to Madrid when I thought I was out of options she was amazing! as were all the staff super wonderful! its a gorgeous hostel, spacious lovely rooms, thanks again!

Super nice place! The friendly staff organizes dinners and happenings. They give you great advices and make your time remamberable :) breakfast included.

I recommend it! Very cozy I was years ago but Guardoun remember pimp. Close to everything. Very friendly and Simpátocos. All clean and the place DND the hostel has been made looks like a lot of history house!

Very friendly staff. Nice location. Few hills to walk to get there but worth it. Facilities are great and all that you want in a hostel. Lots of tourist guide info when needed with lots of literature available and internet throughout the rooms.

A picturesque and warm place where I had a pleasant time!
The hostel is very well located close to the Metro and the main sights of the city.
The staff are friendly, welcoming, available and able to answer all our questions so that our stay is in the best possible conditions.
The dormitories are very spacious and the beds are comfortable.
The breakfast is a marvel with a wide choice of products offered.
Visits are also organized through the hostel, which is a more apréciable!

This hostel is wonderful, I stayed there as I was looking for long term accomodation in Lisbon. I have to insist on the kindness of the staff. It is sometimes a bit noisy bu the staff tries to put calm people in the same rooms. Another very good point : I lost my grandad just a few days after my arrival and they immediately offered me to keep my stuffs in the hostel during my journey back in Paris. The location is really good as the area is calm but very near to central places. The hostel has of lot of soul :) The atmosphere is really good, with several common rooms which means that you can go in a calm area if you need to. The staff was giving good advice and without thinking about money all the time (it happens sometimes). You should definitely go there :) Ps : there are too many João working in the hostel (joking of course)

We were two couples (2 of us in our 50's! ) travelling together. We arrived at the hostel at around 01.00 am after a long and tiring journey and were greeted with a warm and welcoming smile from the receptionist, even at that late hour! We were even able to buy a couple of beers! Our room, a four bed bunk room, was huge, airy and very comfortable. The hostel was super clean and decorated in a fabulously tasteful way, keeping all the natural charm of the old building, while being modern and funky too! In the morning, breakfast was already laid out in the communal dining kitchen and the smell of fresh coffee awoke the senses. We will definitely be going back again and would highly recommend it. Thank you so much for having us.

Best place to stay in Lisbon! The owner and the people at the reception are really helpful and helped us plan the days and told us some of their secret spots! The breakfast is also really nice!

Amazing is the best word for them. So friendly, helpful, welcoming, clean, I could go on. I'm on the shy side and the people here made me feel so welcome ❤ The rooms had plenty of space and each bed had outs own outlet. They had everything I could ever look for in a hostel.

From the moment you step into Lisbon Old Town Hostel you will feel welcome! João and his small team go out of their way to make you feel at home, to find out what you plan to do and give you a locals view on what's best (& what to avoid! ). The hostel is up on all the essentials… it is clean, people are friendly and it is very well run. They give you a good breakfast, and once a week mix up some Sangria to go with a surprise meal.

Fabulous! The hostel is very well located, in the center, easily connected to the subway. The staff is very friendly and available. Everything is clean, welcoming. We were there with a class of 20 students. It was perfect! I would highly recommend the Lisbon Old Town Hostel!

It did not serve the elevator but the staff was very friendly and attentive, the kitchen very complete and the rooms are very comfortable, the cleanliness is not the best, you can improve a little more, but overall well.

Very cool hostel, the dorm rooms are big and the price is cheap. The hostel itself feels friendly and the staff was always helpful and polite. I would go there again. It is also close to the city center, just 15-25 minutes walk and you are almost everywhere.

The friendly staff, good rooms, room 1 has no net, good brekfast, nice guests too. Overall great environment and place well situated.
