Luis and Adelaide were amazing hosts, and I enjoyed Mondim de Basto a lot!

The room itself was very clean and nice, but there was no staff at the front desk, so I had to wait about an hour to check in. I also tried calling to extend my stay, but the phone line was broken.

Loved all the velvet in the room! Excellent breakfast. Great as a Camino stopover.

Spent a wonderful week at this lovely hotel with my best friend at the end of September. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, with being greeted with a dram of Madeira wine on arrival!

The hotel met my expectations—it’s located in a quiet area with beautiful mountain views from the garden. The staff is very friendly and welcomes you with a tasting of regional wine.

I believe that this hotel needs some internal improvements to be a 5 stars hotel.
Pros:
The rooms and staff are perfect. Attention to the customer, with umbrella and robes for all the users for free!

We were staying at another location nearby and happened to come across Aquenico Do Ourico whilst looking for a restaurant.

This is THE place to be in Baleal. A hostel with super surfer vibes, perfect to chill and meet very nice people.

My favorite pace to stay in baleal! the crew, elize & hugo are amazing hosts! The captains is a home for surfers and will make friends for surf.

Nice hotel. The spa and swimming pool can be accessed for free and without reservations. The rooms are big and quite well maintained. Good TV and Wi-Fi signal. Breakfast is very good.

You would need a car but, once you reach the hotel, yo find a very cool place, comfortable and with a good client management.
Nice food, nice views, nice place. Great to stay if you are going to surf.

A great place to stay and a base for the north-western side of Madeira. We had a room overlooking the ocean, beautiful view and listening experience.

Lovely hotel. Had a suite, lovely view of gardens pools and sea. Plenty big enough, settee a little dated in room. Great selection of food and plenty of it. Staff very pleasant.

We had a great holiday at the Pestana Royal. We stayed in a suite which was great, large, clean with a great balcony with a lovely sea view. It was very clean and kept that way by the domestic staff.

What an absolut unreal hotel. Great location great staff. Great selection of fresh food. Very biker friendly with excellent parking. On one of the best routes of the mountains.

Me and my partner stayed for 3 and a half days and had a lovely time. However, there are some issues I'd like to point out:
The bedroom carpet had a strange smell.

This is just a rating of the spa! Fabulous service. Very attentive and top notch products and methods. The water therapy circuit is small but ample, with a sauna and a Turkish bath.

Did not use the hotel, only the spa for the day, staff were all lovely, treatments were good, although exfoliation could have been more thorough on both face and body.

I recently stayed here for just under a week with my partner and had the most relaxing experience I have ever encountered whilst on holiday. The staff couldn't be more helpful and attentive.

We liked our stay here very much. Our room was on the 9th floor and we had an amazing view so that you could actually stay the whole day on the balcony and enjoy it.
The location of the hotel is good.

Breakfast had a great variety and it changed a little daily. Breakfast was 8.50 euros/person, though it was cheaper when we purchased in advance with our room through a third party (Expedia).

I was sad to hear the hotel will be closing for a complete renovation.
Staff were fantastic, and based on that, I would seriously consider staying at other hotels in the group.

We stayed for 2 weeks at the Views.
Check in was smooth, quick & friendly.
The apartment was spacious and roomy, Shower was fabulous, very clean &well looked after.

Hotel is very well located for the Lido, bus routes, shops and restraunts. Our room was clean and comfortable and of a good size. My stay was B&B and all my breakfasts were good.

Our second visit to this hotel, and again we were not disappointed. We were welcomed back by the staff like long lost friends and we were looked after throughout our stay.
