Nice place for a relaxing weekend in the mountains. Very quiet and calm. Friendly staff, who made the breakfast for us 2.5h early because of a local event part of the group was participating in.

Quaint little inn for a reasonable price. Armandino and Conceição our hosts were great. Rooms were small but clean. Access to Serra de Estrela very easy and a beautiful village of Manteigas.

Lovely experience in Ms Elisa's house. Best breakfast, beautiful home and great service from the heart (rare these days).

Stylish, contemporary and quiet, a wonderful place to get away from it all, rooms are spacious, the central seating pool area is charming and the host was very friendly and welcoming.

From the moment we arrived, Ana looked after us superbly, our room was lovely, a super comfy bed, and the sitting room and terrace were great.

We recently spent 3 days (2 nights) at Douro Royal Valley Hotel & Spa, and we can only describe our stay as absolutely wonderful.

Exclusive spectacular location with full view of the Douro River and infinity pool. Our premium deluxe with river view rooms were on the 8th floor.

This place isn't as expensive as most other places around but it isn't cheap considering the level of service given. Breakfast is decent but clearly at 2-star level.

Spent 1, 5 weeks there and can highly recommend it. Felt like a home away from home. Great place to stay if you like to surf in Peniche.

Stayed at Green House Hostel in Baleal for four nights in April 2025, and it was a great pick! This eco-friendly spot has a cozy, surfy vibe perfect for the beachy area.

I normally stays in 5 star hotels. Last week the booking was full at mariot hotel so I booked this hotel marazul. It’s best hotel in the area.

Lovly hotel in a lovly vilage. The room was comfortable and claen. The owner always been avilyble and make surh we got everyting we need.

The Guest House was located just across the road from, and directly facing the extensive Espinho beach, and within easy walking distance of the train station and the town centre — approx 10 minutes

Great location, right next to the beach. The rooms are very tidy, good amenities and great view over the ocean. Downstairs they have a restaurant with great breakfasts and nice fish meals.

Our time at Emcasa Boutique Guesthouse was a true dream! The place is very clean and tastefully furnished and everything is arranged with lots of love for beauty, quality and details.

Great Find! Ronnie is a most pleasant host. Modern yet comfy room and common area. Delicious breakfast! Way better the normal fare. Offers the best IPA I found in Portugal.

Our stay was amazing! The location is wonderful, very peaceful, at least when we visited (end of November). The staff is very welcoming and helpful.

Private car park, location, comfy bed, silence room.
The TV in the room is outdated, too small and with poor image and sound quality.

This is a lovely renovated hotel with clean, spacious rooms. The view from our top floor accommodation was wonderful overlooking the mountains and village.

Fridge makes too much noise. Apart from that all good.

Very strange to find such a good hotel in one of the most depressing and rundown villages we've been to for quite some time.

We stayed here this week. Parked on the street no problem. The friendliest informative reception upon our arrival with a welcome drink in the bar on the sun terrace roof.

Small room but perfect location close to the castle walls. I'd say it's an easy walk to everything except the hills are so steep the walk wasn't easy. Clean and the staff were very friendly.

Nice little hotel, quite comfortable and clean. Breakfast could be better but I'm not complaining at this price — the hotel is quite inexpensive.

Generally liked the hotel. Had issues with the Wi-Fi on room 401, so keep that in mind if you need to work remotely.
Location is convenient with some shops nearby.
Laundry service is expensive.

I was there last weekend, the house is really nice, traditional but really well curated and the owner is just AMAZING! Maria Dolores was really nice and welcoming, a perfect host!

Superb experience staying at this fabulous hotel. English speaking Carlos couldn’t do enough to help. Secure Motorcycle parking too. Location of the hotel and everything about it was THE BEST!

We loved our time in Santos hotel so so much, mostly because of the amazing people who own and run the hotel! Mr and Mrs Albert! I am grateful that such great hearted people still exist in this earth!

The pool area and gardens are stunning.

I didn’t eat breakfast. The small fridge was excellent and made it easier to stay cool.
