We arrived almost 3 in the morning. They said that we have to pay for the full price even if we will just stay there for 8-9 hours. That was fine. I gave my PWD ID and the staff said that they can't give me discount. As mandatwd by the law, we can avail a 20% discounted rate. The staff said he could not give a discount as they are now being managed by Red Doors. I told the staff that he should as it has been mandated by law. The staff contacted Red Doorz but they did not reply. After a while the staff just offered me an old room with no television, then he can give me a discount. When we arrived in the room, it was very old, lights are dim, and smells like cockroach. This is a shame! PWD's deserve better. I have a mild case as my disease is episodic. What about those PWDs who have harder cases of not able to walk? This establishmeny should learn how to better accomodate people. Shame.

I am a regular guest and I stay at their hostel most of the time when I visit my friends in Cebu. Staff are friendly, the place is cozy and clean. They have good internet where infact I could still work online. I always recommend this place to my friends who wish to visit Cebu. It is very affordable, convenience store is right across the street, nearby restaurants and malls. They have lockers for your things outside of the room. Just ask the front desk for a padlock to keep your things safe when you're out.

If you are looking for a cozy, tidy and peso value place to stay in the area. You are in the right place.

Staff are friendly, generally, though the guy checking us in was a bit lost when he gave us a twin room instead of a double that we booked. The Wi-Fi didn't work (we aren't technophobes) and the showerhead meant the water was a bit lacking (can get hot no probs) but otherwise everything was cool. Neat rooftop hangout area.

How much a/c dbl, triple or do you have fmly room good for 4 px. Is it w/b'fast?

I love Teofel and my Teofel friends. We stayed in their bunker beds and was able to make friends. The people who worked there were friendly, the beds were clean and the area where we eat is just lovely. Will definitely come back!

We stayed 7 days in Teo-Fel's Hostel Dormitory and it was so great! We found new friends (backpackers from diffrent places). The staffs are very friendly and accomodating. The room is very clean and they have good aircondition. We will definitely be back here. Super at home! We even stayed in for 2 whole days. The receptionists are very kind and helpful especially when we want to stroll around Cebu.

This place is awesome and we really enjoyed our stay here, the staffs are kind, helpful, friendly, approachable and very accommodating especially the Front Desk Clerk. Every area of the establishment is clean and well maintained. They are also offering a Taxi if you would love to go in different tourist spots in Cebu in a reasonable price. I highly recommend this lodging establishment if you are a budgetarian person. Looking forward for the next visit here in Teofel Pension House.

The accommodation is affordable and the staffs are friendly. Just a suggestion, please let them wear a uniform so that we can identify if he/she is a personnel when they clean the room and change the bedsheets.

In response to Teofel's reply to my friend Isabella's review: I understand that guests have to take responsibility for their belongings, but being well traveled, I didn't want to take all of my money with me on the streets of an unknown city. As you say, normally every hostel worldwide provides lockers that you can actually lock, whereas what you provide is a drawer under the bed with no way of locking it and I was not told upon check in of the vault you say you can provide. Providing lockers that actually lock is a good enough security measure in a hostel and putting CCTV in dorm room is the wrong way to go and is an invasion of privacy. The incident of me catching the cleaner red handed with her hand in my bag was brushed off as a lie; the cleaner denied it, saying she was cleaning and tidying the bed. In every hostel I have stayed at no staff member is allowed to touch the belongings of the guests and she had no right to be anywhere near my things (which were NOT scattered all over the bed as she claimed because I'd just arrived and I'm a tidy patron). In addition, I was the first to check into that room and there had been a cleaner in there as I arrived doing the cleaning of that room so I wonder how much more cleaning this other maid had to do when I caught her going through my things.

Stay here at your own risk! Not trustworthy and our money was stolen! It's a shame because the hostel is nice and clean, however the day we arrived, my friend caught one of the cleaners (a young woman with really short hair) looking through her belongings — her hand was in my friends bag and money had been taken out. We confronted the girl and told the manager, but she denied it and didn't even get in trouble or apologise, even though my friend saw her with her own eyes trying to steal from her. We should have taken it further, but believing the best in people we let it go. This was our mistake because the next day, 11, 000 php (~ $275 AUD) had been stolen. The money had been hidden in a different bag, so it's clear that this girl came back into the room with the intent of stealing the money and spitefully left 1000php (~$25 AUD) behind. There are no security lockers provided at this hostel (even though it was advertised as having them), despite this the hostel takes no responsibility if anything is stolen as stated in their house rules — as if they know that this will happen. It also states that hotel management will conduct an investigation to address these situations — this did not happen at all and we had to involve the police ourselves, who unsurprisingly couldn't do anything either, even though my friend had witnessed the staff member stealing.

Nice hostel just need to improved toilet bowl. Not flushing.

Very goog for budget travelers, nice and clean, light breakfast was fine.

This is recommended for transient stays, backpackers and the like. Stairs only, no elevator. Rooms are have AC, own bathroom and toilet, bed is okay. There is also a closet. Visitors allowed afaik.
