Carolina Princess Marbella Hostel

We arrived early hours of the morning to this hostel. The door was closed and lights off, we rang the bell with no luck. The property advertises 24 hour reception but don't be fooled. We waited on the street for 2+ hours before finally a guest let us in. We then waited in a dark reception area for a further 1.5 hours until a very rude man that acted as a receptionist came in. He told us and another couple that we let in after we arrived that he didn't have any rooms for us despite us both having booking confirmations and having given over our card details months before. There was no apology from the man's part. He gave the excuse that the Pope was in town and that all the rooms in the city were full for that reason. (one of those rooms had been reserved by us and confirmed 2 months ago! ) the other couple were finally allocated a room but we were told we had to wait until 3pm for the manager to arrive to SEE IF THEY HAD A ROOM TO GIVE US… Wait 8 hours to see if there's a chance of getting a room that we booked months ago? On what planet is this horrendous level or customer service acceptable. With no other options given to us and no still no apology we decided to book a different hotel and we left. 3 things I liked — inexpensive, clean, comfortable bed. What I didn’t like — no privacy (room 12 overlooks pool area and blinds only go down 3 feet from floor with 2 inch gap between blinds) (open door and diners right there), no amenities in room (small lamp, garbage can, table to put clothes etc on), trouble using both air conditioner and TV, toooo friendly dog (barking at front door in middle of night), no toilet paper or hand towels in bathrooms. Very basic but very clean and nice owners, employees.

24/7 reception, cheap prices, breakfast was rudimentary but good, nice pool, well situated.

If you travel with children and more if you are naughty, it is not the place for you; it seems that to every action they were going to give an ulcer, they are in constant scrutiny even of how you wash the dishes in the kitchen, the place very nice, cozy, but the terrible staff, do not answer the greeting even, I had to stay 5 days in the city, I preferred to change places.

Beautiful hostel run by a very nice family. Unfortunately I was placed with some lowlife roommates who were not travelers, backpackers etc. I had no chocolate cream but to check out the next day. Note: before checking in be sure to insist on sharing a room with fellow backpackers only and not local workers.

Very cute was very well attended to ay pool, my granddaughters enjoyed the abitacione clean the truth I recommend it.

An amazing place to stay, very paceful and beautiful, the best choice in Panama city.

It's a very nice hostel. The people who works there very friendly! Well clean, doesn't look old or with bad maintenance. Bed linen are clean, seems new, no stains or bad smell. They give you a good bath towel (not a small handkerchief). Calm neighborhood. The location is a little hidden, but good. Near Multicentro shopping mall.
