Room and bathroom too small but the places are very clean. Good welcome. Breakfast very decent and varied.

Well located hotel. Underground parking can be found in front of the hotel (220NOK for one night). Rooms are comfortable and nice staff. Breakfast is great.

A very decent hotel for couples or singles. Rooms are sized well for occupants and come with all the basics you need to stay the night — kettle, coat hangers, a smart TV, free Wi-Fi, firm mattresses and a shower that produces hot water almost immediately and with pressure. The toilets don't always flush fully and the room door can be a little on the thin side but other than that can't complain. Like all the other reviewers, I can confirm the breakfast is very generous and of high quality. Egon restaurant next door to the hotel is also a brilliant place to eat lunch or dinner, but I'll review that separately. There's also a highly under-utilised gym on the 3rd floor near where breakfast is served; it has a lot of high quality equipment and is really fantastic if you're a muscle builder. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed my night here. The restaurant/bar attached to the hotel is great. Got in late in the evening and was able to get a really nice evening meal in a warm, rustic and cosy environment. The rooms were pleasent to stay in. Beds really comfy. Good Wi-Fi available. Overall I would recommend.

Great breakfast buffet, small rooms without closet or chest of drawers. Times "lives" from the suitcase. Otherwise clean and well maintained.

Hotel located right in the center. Excellent breakfast. Strategic and very good restaurant Egon located at the ground floor with prices in the average of Tromso. Coffee and Ttea always available in the lobby and in the room. Good value for money.

I would actually give them a 4.5 star. Hotel is very well located! 2min walk from the drop off point for the airport bus and 2min walk from the high street. 5min walk from harbour and all activities. Breakfast was very good with good variety. Receptionists were all so nice and helpful. If you are going to book a standard room just bare in mind that they are very small, more like a pod. This is what I had booked and reception kindly managed to find me an upgrade at the last minute. Superior rooms and business rooms are great. Room / small living area and bathroom. Egon restaurant is literally next door so very convenient. They even do take away! You don't need even need to leave the hotel just walk in from reception. Hotel was very clean too. The only thing I would say is that there is nowhere to put your clothes away. Just a few hangers for jackets but no where to put your bits in bathroom or clothes in the room. Apart from that absolutely perfect! Definitely recommend!

Great Hotel: Comfortable, warm and clean rooms with state-of-the-art television. Breakfast varied and particular to be able to experience every morning combinations never tried before. Recommended.

Central Hotel and good price in TROMSO. Small reception that also gives access to a restaurant that is next to the hotel, open 24 hours and with staff that at least you can speak in English. Two elevators and a staircase give access to the floors of the rooms. Good and to the breakfast room and gym which are on the third floor. The rooms are small though well equipped, card locks, but small wardrobe especially in winter. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Otherwise, warm, clean, quiet and central.

It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and equiped. I admired it very much. The breakfest was very good and I recomend anyone reading this review to stay there and eat it! A lot of fish and tasty dishes. It was the best food I have eaten in that kind of hotel. The localisation is good and the prices are reasonable.

Central location. Friendly and helpful staff. However the matress on the bed should've been cleaned properly. Also the TV did not work as it should.

Good hotel, quiet and clean rooms. The downside is that there are some rooms to access only possible climbing several stairs because the elevator does not arrive, they are as apart and if you are very loaded with suitcases is a problem. The room is acceptable and clean. The breakfast area is very good, great variety.

Convenient location near bus stop, large room and great breakfast. Standing shower for my room was missing the bottom shower tray, which resulted in a bit of mess after shower.

The beds are the classic single beds with very soft and warm duvets. The dark curtain for the night is quite effective but for those who want the absolute darkness the northern countries are the wrong place. At the reception they have always been nice and, always in reception, there is a Nespresso machine for a coffee. In front there is a park not included in the price of the room of 150kr per day. The breakfast is fantastic, even there is the kitchen to view with the cooks who prepare eg. Bacon and eggs. For dinner from the hotel you enter directly into a restaurant in the Enron chain where we ate some great hot dogs.

Nice Hotel, spacious rooms, great location, cleanliness to improve. A great breakfast with local and international dishes is noteworthy. Parking near very convenient but very hexose.

Great Wi-Fi connection. The breakfast was great and had a quite variety of food. The view from hotel room wasn't good. They put me in a room where was the backwards of the hotel. Nice staff.

Thon Hotel Polar offers good location and decent service to those of you visiting Tromsø, Norway. My room was small, badly furnished and dated and bath / shower room was in need of serious renovation. Average breakfast and satisfactory for those of you that just want to eat, but it had not that little extra to those of use regarding the first meal of the day as a feast.
