Fabulous hotel with THE BEST staff!

Great place to stay. Awesome breakfast.

Great location. Comfortable, immaculate rooms. Incredible breakfast buffet with offerings for every palate. Exceptional & courteous service.

Very inconsistent service. When we checked in the service was great! After that, just downhill. Rooms don’t have phones, Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the rooms (the hotel is aware of this but blames it on the network company, this is not a brand new hotel so it’s obviously not a brand new problem either), there’s also no parking at the hotel and they can’t even tell you where you could go and park. Very rude and unhelpful service from the reception no matter what you ask them. I’ve gotten better service at motel 6. Instead of housekeeping you get this rude service of “minibar inspections”, I don’t appreciate being treated like a thief in a hotel of this price level or anywhere but this was truly a disappointing experience all together. The service in the rooftop bar was nice and the breakfast was ok. I don’t see us ever returning here and I’d recommend you take your money elsewhere too.

Very clean. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Minimal but very elegant décor. Amazing breakfast with every good of God (apart from coffee)

It is excellent. The quality is held to a very high standard. It is has a really modern presence inside and most importantly the breakfast is awesome. There is so much food and it is so good you have to tell yourself to stop eating.

Just wonderful When reading this please understand that this hotel is located something like 1000 km from the nearest comperable hotel, It`s unique. Service was just lovely. For what staff laced in urban professionalism they made up ten times, with genuine love and care. The building is really good looking, inside and outside. Rooms are fresh and modern. Cool Scaninavia style. Good kitchen, but you might like to take some meal outside the hotel. Just, to taste more of the local produce. Very much recomended.

I Went to a party at the bar on the last floor. Very good views of the city, the harbour, the bridge and Nice.

Charming staff (prepared and made us complimentary coffees and gave free Easter chocolates! ). Great outlook into the Harbour. Highly recommended.

Very good location. From the Skybar on the 11th floor you can see Northern Lights although the lights of the city are there. Service is very accommodating and speaks very good English. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection, including cereal, cow and plant milk and fresh fruit and vegetables. The rooms are accessible and in order. There is free coffee in the lounge throughout the day and good restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Lovely hotel. Evening menu not too extensive so we ate out. Staff very friendly and helpful and large bedroom and bathroom.

Great hotel. Fabulous breakfast and no complaints from us. A couple of minor issues with room (lamp not working etc) but they were resolved immediately. If in Tromso again we'd not hesitate in staying here.

Very nice and modern hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful. The food in the restaurant is good but the service of the chef is very bad. It takes almost an hour to serve our meal.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great roof terrace to explore aurora borealis! The staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is outstanding. And there's lots of choice. The location of the hotel is superb. Close to almost everything in Tromsø. Everything is 'just around the corner'. This hotel is highly recommended.

Great location, very good breakfast. The room was spacious and nice. The only negative thing was a big fan outside the window.

Nice Hotel, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The Restaurant in the Hotel is to be recommended and also offers local specialities. At Breakfast nothing is missing actually and there is a great selection. The only bottleneck is the coffee maker in the well-attended times there is a long queue. There is also a dispenser for regular coffee there, it tastes good but not very good. The rooms are Standard in our was the wash basin is very narrow what is being executed a certain challenge in the morning and in the evening was — you could certainly solve more beautiful. The price is set a little too high for the room. For these reasons, there is a star deduction.

Mixed experience: On the one hand excellent location on the waterfront, very modern hotel with attractive lobby, very friendly staff, very fast checkout. Rooms have an almost inaudible air conditioning.
On the other hand very small rooms, although we had booked a superior room, we had to live the 4 days almost out of the suitcase because hardly any shelf space available.
Beds not good quality, simplest mattress with very soft top.
Bathroom too little towel rack, after showering half the bathroom is under water as there is no door to the shower cubicle.
Room is made very late, on two days came only after call a maid against 16.00.
Breakfast very rich, but the concept of 100% self-service comes at two Kaffeeeautomaten (one broken in 2 days) to its limits. Atmosphere like in a super mall. Schüttzucker was only to be found under the greatest effort, even teapots were only available with a lot of effort.
No gym.

It is a very nice and modern hotel, it has some small rooms which are well equipped. It is very well located and has a great service the only "problems" are the elevators which usually never arrive and at breakfast some things are done quickly and there are no new ones.

Loved it! Comfortable warm room and heated floor in the bathroom. The bed was wonderfully comfortable too!

Great service at once I entered the hotel. Professional information about the hotel facility and emergency routines. The lunch was great quality but a little few choices. The dessert table was absolutely superb.

The rooms are very clean but small, less than 225 sq ft. All of the hotel staff were very happy to help and answer any questions. Getting to the hotel's front door is troublesome as the entire front of the hotel is under construction, vehicles cannot dive through the front area.

It is a magical place. Wonderful everything here, it is the gateway to the arctic! A must.

Lovely hotel. Lots of building work going on around it made it difficult to get to and a bit of a mess. Nice people looking after the guests. Great food and lots of it. Car parking is a pain. Have to walk from the nearest underground car park which is in miles of tunnels beneath Tromso and a good few streets walk away.

Chilled af and really polite staff. It's quality here, the mini bar pricing maybe Abit steep. But it's nothing if you're happy without it.

Great stay. Very nice interior. Rooms are spacious and well designed. The breakfast buffet was incredibly good with a lot of different options. The location is good as well — there are nice restaurants and a little mall in walking distance. The reception staff was very nice and helpful. I liked the fact that the staff was speaking nicely to each other and everybody seemed to get along well.

Modern architecture, nice rooms and an ideal location. We would have liked to stay here longer. The dinner was so far O. K. Not quite my thing, the breakfast was fantastic. Great choice, top quality. In the room there is a kettle, a desk and a comfortable bed. The bathroom very chic. If I came back to Tromsö, the edge would be the first choice.
In the evening we sat for a long time in the Skybar with a Cuba libre and other cocktails. The view of the harbour, the city and the mountains — a dream!

The hotel is modern and the Junior suite has a fantastic view. The breakfast is more reminiscent of an Ikea restaurant (from the tables) but is very rich and leaves almost no desire open. The rooms are clean modern and harmonious, but not a great luxury to me stone Schnak.

The best hotel you can get in Tromso.

The hotel itself is outstanding, interior are very modern and pretty. Rooms have a air under the roof and it's quite a relaxing hotel. However, the view from the hotel, even at 8th floor is somewhat disappointing. Other than that the food is somewhat bland, I've visited a lot of times the past 2 years and the food is always the same old without much taste to it. In the end, it is one of my favorite hotels due to its interiors.

Located on the waters edge, and under 5 mins walk to a shopping center, and the main central district for other shops, coffee and food. Walkable to the Arctic Cathedral for even unfit persons. ~20mins briskly. Breakfast buffet is extensive, with hot food pre-made or to order, cereals (incl. Gluten free) cold meats and cheeses and fruit. Room was very comfortable and well sound proofed. We were there for NYE and there was a masquerade ball hosted by the hotel, and roof access was available to watch the fireworks.

The service here was some of the best I've had in a Norwegian hotel, and the hotel itself was great as well. The room was comfy and had a good feeling you rarely get in a hotel room. Recommended!

Well-located with respect to the center, good treatment and very attentive.

A really modern and well designed hotel. There was a concert being held when we stayed and the noise did reverberate through the hotel, but luckily wasn't too loud in the room. Breakfast was quite a good range. Had both the smallest room and also the larger corner suite. Small room was adequate to suit needs of a room for the night. The large corner suite was a stunning room with a great view. However if you wanted to enjoy the view at night, all lights in the room needed to be switched off — otherwise the windows reflected the lights back and you couldn't see anything outside.

Clean, comfortable with a fantastic breakfast and one of the best restaurants (Kitchen and Table) in Tromso. The staff were particularly brilliant, always willing to go the extra mile. Beautiful views of the water and mountains as well. Very comfortable.

So, this is a nice place. No doubt about it. Centrally located, beautifully designed and well organized the Edge will be a decent choice for your stay in Tromsø. Still for me it wasn't the right one as I'm on holiday and this place is quite cooperate at times. So if you're looking for something remote and quiet this might not be the best option. Other than that the food was good as well as the friendly staff. Perfect for a night or two.

Staff at the front desk are incredibly informative and helpful about local activities. Booked whale watching and northern light tours through the hotel and both delivered successful sightings. Central location. Clean rooms. Waterfront view.
