Excellent value. Breakfast included and everything you could want. Nice attached authentic restaurant. Within an easy walk to centre of town. Tasteful decor. Loads of hot water and comfy beds.

My absolute favorite boutique hotel and the only place I stay in Bergen. Always met with a warm smile and hospitable staff. Delightful breakfast and a 24 hour gym for us training psychos. Cosy restaurant and wine bar and great location.

Ideal Hotel for Old School Tourists (like me).
Staff very polite, helpful, whole-hearted.
Rooms are clean and practical, well-equipped.
There is an extra laundry room (free for Hotel guests) with washing machine and dryer for free, liquid detergent you may buy at the reception.
In the Lobby are coffe and tee for Hotel guests free around the clock.
Perfect and copious Breakfast.
For smokers extra area in the backyard whit seats and table.

Fantastic staff, great hotel loved the free waffles in arvo. Free coffee and tea plus the breakfast was awesome, highly recommend this Hotel.

Good quality of food at breakfasts and nice hotel stuff. However, the bathroom in our room is too small and we has a bit badly view on the wall of a building in the opposite side of the street. So, 3 stars.

Great spot in the centre of Bergen centrum. Morning buffet is a bit tight at rush hour, but the wine bar makes up for the lack of space there. Free fruit was a big bonus. The location is fantastic, you have less than a minute to walk out to the water with a great view of the old town. A few more minutes and you will be in the middle of restaurants, bars and a fishing market. Receptionist was a bit confused if it was legal to keep the car running outside of the hotel entrance to unload and load baggage at arrival and departure, but you are allowed to keep the car running as long as you are able to move it within seconds.

Price is unattractive, reasons: breakfast — simple. bed — uncomfortable. shower — dirty and you get a broken shower head and soap dispenser as a bonus. room — far from sound proof! you hear people *talking* in the hallway and one time during the night we woke up because we got startled from somebody OUTSIDE of the room slamming their door shut. first and definitely last time.

Lovely hotel situated minutes for Tourist Info, tour boats and harbor. Friendly, helpful staff and tasty, varied selections for breakfast. Fast ride to train station.

We stayed for 4 nights in late April early May. Good service and kindness, clean and quiet. Great location just a walk from the center. The trump card, the included breakfast and the opportunity to bring with you paying 75nok a container to fill at your choice of everything that breakfast offered and was really plentiful. The chance to take 24 hours in the ground-floor tea and coffee room for free was an extra touch. I highly recommend.

Hotel is located conveniently nearby attractions in Bergen. My room on the fifth floor of the hotel even had a nice view of the harbor. Rooms are very nice with a comfortable bed and TV.

Augustin hotel was a pleasant stay. It was within walking distance of many great sites and restaurants. They were even able to get us a taxi with only a half hour notice, on a national holiday no less.

The location is pretty decent—close to everything the town has to offer. However, the rooms, although big in size, can be very bright during the night and very noisy as well with the noise from the street and rooftop parties. The afternoon waffles were delicious, however!

Great hotel, with an excellent breakfast buffet and a waffle happy hour in the afternoons! The staff was very helpful, particularly the overnight staff and especially Kay-Ole. He made our weekend with his personalized reccomendations.

La habitación no es ninguna maravilla, yo creo que en los países nórdicos, tienden a ser pequeñas… Pero esta correcta, limpia y caliente. En cuanto a los edredones minúsculos no estoy tan convencido… También típico de los países nórdicos. La localización no es del todo mala y lo único que me hace restarle puntuación al borde del suspenso… o incluso suspenderlo es el terrible ruido de la ventilación, insoportable para dormir y si algo puedo destacar y de ahí las tres estrellas y no dos es el desayuno, de los buenos en cantidad y calidad además de incluirlo en el precio, pero eso sí, el ruido es demoledor.

Absolutely friendly staff! Rooms were clean and perfect in specialisations. The restaurant was great and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and very good.

24 gym is very nice. Lounge is ok. Free coffee and tea, but no decaf options (coffee or tea). Bed, pillow and shower was good. Room heating was electric and not good. Difficult to set a good temp (to high or too low.

We stayed 2 nights in this Hotel within walking distance to the center and the port of Bergen. It has lots of nice and comfortable rooms with free WI FI and very good running. Good breakfast and car parking included in the price. Professional and friendly staff. Free coffee at all times.

Modern and comfortable structure. In a great location compared to the tourist attractions of the city of Bergen. Breakfast Excellent choice for one or more nights stops.

10 minutes to center of town. Authentic 400 year old dining room. (New kitchen! ) Good food. Coffee always available and free. Staff at desk and dining room very helpful and answered all our questions.

Have eaten in hotel in evening several times and it is wonderful. Their wine selection is fabulous.
The little garden out the back is so relaxing and pleasant. Tucked away from hustle and bustle.

I'm still there. Sadly though, and this is becoming typical of the young Norwegians in hotels, you ask where might be good to eat and they have no idea. You ask about the ferry times, they have no idea. You ask what is happening outside the front door, they have no
Idea. Sad but true and not good in the hotel business.

Nice place but to much time and probably money was put in the lobby, lounge and restaurant and not enough in the rooms. Our room did have heating but it wasn't very effective leaving us a cold room in the mornings. There is no coffee or tea within the rooms but there is coffee on tap and tea in both the lounge and restaurant with a also decently large TV in the lounge. The shower for our room had basically no water pressure what so ever which made things difficult when showering.

Superb hotel and great value for Norway. Free decent coffee on tap and a nice relaxing lounge area where you can chill out, read a book or like us sit and have a game of chess. Breakfast buffet is typical Norwegian fayre with plenty of fish.

The stay was amazing, unfortunate that construction is going on outside 7 am till around 7 pm. The breakfast was superb and local organic products were appreciated. The female receptionist (a trainee) was a lifesaver and made my day a lot less stressful. Would come back again for sure.

I was at the end of March 2015, although only for one night staying in this Hotel, where I, however, felt very comfortable. The room was large enough and very clean. The Breakfast is extensive and something for every taste. The location is to Discover the mountains perfectly.

Hotel doesn't match what comes in. Has no restaurant. Parking not included.

Perfect location, awesome welcome, almost faultless stay. After 5 days in a twin bedded Hurtigruten cabin, we took an extra day and splashed the cash on a superior room at the Augustin — and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered the hotel was virtually impossible to fault. If I have to be harsh, two single beds pushed together was a unfortunate — would have been acceptable if there was something holding them together. But the rest of the room was faultless. Reception was exceptional, the lounge was very welcoming (and the waffles an inspiration), breakfast did not disappoint, and the location was perfect for exploring Bergen — and when it was time to go, just stand outside and the FlyBus is there every 15 mins. If we're every back in Bergen, this will be our first option.
