We always have the best stay here, our family find it the best place ever to stay in Christchurch. 5 stars from us & we will be back every year for the bird show. You both make us feel so welcome with your happy personalities, easy going attitude & always there to help us. You guys are the best accommodation in christchurch by far.

We LOVE this place, our dogs are always made sooo welcome which is really important to us, the hosts are fantastic, friendly and nothing is a bother. Large airy rooms and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be back again when next in Christchurch.

We would not stay anywhere else in Christchurch. Huge rooms, great motel, but the best thing about staying here is meeting Maree and Stewart Belcher. They are an awesome couple.

We really enjoyed our night here, we were made to feel very welcome especially as we had our pet dog with us, the room was excellent, we would happily stay again and would highly recommend to others to stay as well :)

Booked the room from Agoda. Price is reasonable. But the place is clean, quite Spacey for us and we can cook dinner. Yesterday we cooked ravioli. Today, we made our version of Buritos with sirloin steak. The owner attends the receptionist and also answers calls. They are super nice people. Very helpful. This place is very very recommended.

It's a shame I can only rate both the Motel and especially the hosts 5 stars… they deserve more… their staff also deserve an honourable mention. We stayed in various motels during our 6 week holiday and rate this motel as.

Clean rooms. Quit. Pet Friendly. We love it.

We enjoyed our walk about. The roses gardens even with the rain had a great variety of bushes.

We were back in our home city to attend a wedding weekend and chose Garden City Motel at random. Very pleased we did as everything was very good. Hosts very personable and helpful, unit immaculately clean. Really topnotch value for money. Would return and recommend.

What a lovely, homely place to stay where nothing is too much trouble for the owners.
Great location and close to everything in this stunning little city and a great base to travel from.

We stayed for a couple of nights recently and found the unit for three of us + a pup was everything we needed. Helpful friendly staff that made our booking and stay worthy of the 5* We will certainly be back! Thanks guys :)

Great location, very friendly service. We had great beds for six. Cooking facilities good.

Cute place. Lovely garden. Very friendly owner/staff. Beds very comfy, though sheets were usual hotel stiffness that feel like paper. Unfortunately the showers are noisy. I'm sitting here listening to our neighbour's dripping onto their floor, loudly enough to keep me awake.

Great motel. Friendly and helpful management and staff. Close to activities which I enjoyed like the tram ride around town, gondola up Mt. Herbert, botanical gardens, museum etc. Nice pub close by (Coaster's Tavern). Easy access to city by car or bus. Good base fpr day trips to Hanmer Springs, Banks Peninsula and Methven. Would highly recommend Garden City motel to anyone visiting Christchurch.

Very efficient waiting staff, customer service was great. Food was yummy. Highly recommend buffet restaurant.
