The Host is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the city. Healthy breakfast served in the morning and the location are very convenient to the city.

Nice little cottage a few streets away from restaurants and shops.
A cute little garden where we can relax under the kiwi tree, eating grapes and apples from the garden.

Very homely place and very friendly owner who is waiting always for an opportunity to help you in 5*+ service. Clean rooms. Family place, solo travelers, some open areas are there to chill with a cofee or drink. Open areas are surrounded by fruit bearing trees. Good break fast also.

Hosts were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The room was clean and the bathroom/shower were very good. We had home made breakfast every morning and enjoyed our stay in Christchurch. We were also able to walk to most every attraction and/or restaurant.

Christchurch best Bed and Breakfast offer a unique NZ experience. We had a great time during our short stay. This place is not suitable for children, so it is peaceful and relaxing. Will come again.

Stayed here with friends this month (January 2016). The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The hosts, Chet and Steve, are really what make this place great. Always friendly and accommodating, gave us maps and recommended places to visit and were happy to talk about the city. Given their hospitality, I would highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely an amazing place to stay. The atmosphere is so cozy and I feel completely relax to have my vacation in Christchurch. I just sit on the bench and enjoy the beautiful garden in the evening. The bed provided by Designer Cottage is very clean and comfortable. Chet and Steve are very nice and helpful!
