Great day out and great staff.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Perhaps I had too high of expectations but after traveling in a van for two weeks, I just wanted some quiet, internet and a warm bath. Our room didn’t have the tub I thought was standard nor did it get internet signal. I had my heart set on that bath! I went downstairs to try and get signal but quickly left because there was a photoshoot occurring. When arriving we had to listen to the manager go through each ‘feature’ of the room — including the restaurant suggestion book, ironing and bathroom. Did we not look exhausted? The building was beautiful but seemed disorganized — the office behind the desk was a mess. I was very concerned about leaving my cc # written on a piece of paper there! Our room had two beds, one was ok but the other had my husband waking at 3am in pain. Save yourself the money and go across the street — much better accommodations at 1/2 the price.

Stay across the street at the Bealey Plaza Motel. Half the price, but with much better accommodations. We used Room 10. There is no internet access available in that room. The channel selection on the television seems just local programming, as opposed to across the street. The queen bed… I felt every spring in the mattress. Across the street, I had a pillow-top mattress. The single bed in Room 10 is a bit softer. The pillows were very flat, as opposed to across the street, at Bealey Plaza. Back to the internet access… very, very slow. We had to sit in reception to get anything, but we had to leave when a photo shoot arrived. So back to our room with local channels. We bought this room with an expectation of a great cap to our New Zealand honeymoon, but left very, very disappointed with the price, with respect to the accommodations. Our Abuzzy campervan had two beds that were far more comfortable. Hindsight being 20/20, I would’ve paid half at Bealey Plaza, where we started our journey, and received a quiet night, internet access, a selection of channels, and a bed that was comfortable. Very, very disappointed.

Lovingly designed house where our New Zealand vacation found a worthy conclusion. Big thanks for that also to the nice owners.

Went for hightea with work. Nice food. Just one thing would of liked more s avourys than sweets was to many sweet.

Newish owners. About 2 months. Very gracious. Spent 2 nights in the largest room. AC a bit slow to respond, but works fine after. HUGE shower with regratably one shower head. Ample choices for breakfast. Large portions.

Great house but Pity for the new breakfast.

The hotel is amazing. I really like the style of the hotel also the staff are really friendly. Definitely come back again.

Eliza's Manor Boutique Hotel offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation in a beautifully restored homestead. Situated at 82 Bealey Avenue on the northern boundary of the Central Business District of Christchurch City, New Zealand. I had a comfortable time and nice people around me.

Never justified price We got for our by Emirates recommended nz$ 250 the butter room. It was dark, cold, no heating looking in the garden. It was just an outdated hutch. OK it survived an earthquake but the room is standard from the 1950's. The breakfast included in he room rate is just to laugh: 2 toastes, 1 butter, and 2 jams from the supermarket. 2 butters > you have to ask on your knees. The new owner are so mean, they want to get their money so fast as possible to get back. Not recommended. Save your money for better lodging but the the building is beautuful and it survuved very much. The house will also survive the actual owner!

A great place to stay… lovely rooms, incredible house, fantastic breakfast and friendly hosts.

We only stayed here for one night but Ann made every minute of our stay as nice as possible. She was very accomodating with the rooms and was sure that we were up and ready with an incredible breakfast in time for us to make to our train! I am definitely looking forward to staying here again very soon.

Absolutely beautiful. The staffs are amazing!

My wife booked this for us and we stayed at Eliza's for a couple of days over Christmas 2012 for a few day and found that the experience was a little let down by tired decor. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest but alas we didn't have much choice in where to stay. Harold seemed a little bit abrupt with us but seemed a little nicer at the end of our stay. On our return back to Christchurch we stayed at the Charlotte Jane, and this was a more pleasant stay than Eliza's.
