At The Right Place Hostel

The door has a password to bury the room. The kitchen is dirty. Food is not a good place. The boss is Chinese. Cool room and buried toilet are not good.

Motel can be recommended. Good equipment and service. Backpackers seems not to be up to this standard, judged from the "outside"

Be aware if your are staying here — it's disgusting. In the bathroom the walls are mouldy and the paint is coming if the ceiling, the toilet seat is cracked & covered in yellow stains & the shower has cracks in the walls, there is 1 small heater for the whole place & the arm chairs are dirty & stained. The light bulbs are all uncovered & some not working. The bedroom window handle is broken. The sink and kitchen area is sticky and looks un clean. The mattress has a musky smell to it, which is hard to ignore when getting to sleep. Also the water is cloudy when you run the tap. Please see pics for evidence of my review.

Great and affordable location. Staff is super friendly and chilled. There are small and big rooms and backpackers lodge. I rented the big room if kitchen and bathroom for a couple nights with my girlfriend, the experience was perfect and I also had parking right in the front. The Wi-Fi is free with those coupons, but the lady ay reception seems to give it more if you need, problem is, the Internet is awful and you really can't use it. Still, for the price this is a great place that I would stay again and recommend to someone else.

Room: 4 single bed in a room. Windows are alright because air can freely move in and out. Not so hot at night. bedsheets/pillow: the sheets were too noisy. When someone moves /turns from one side to another. It seems to be screaming at night. Some pillows were too flat. I like the comforter though. the kitchen: it was dusty. Some coffee were as hard as stone. My suggestion is that they check and change the coffee and other materials like sugar etc. If not, provide t…hose pre packed instant coffee for hygienic purposes. the living room was great. Happened to have our own living room although we paid for the bed only. We had our own tiny apartment with kitchen, living room for ourselves. I would highly recommend it if people are traveling by group. But if one is alone. I don’t think one will survive.

The room was very noisy (paper thin walls) and not very clean. Black mould on the shower curtain and bath mat, the towels provided smelled musty, very old plastic jug in the kitchen and not much else. The room itself felt like a prison or psych ward; no art, brick walls etc. We left after a couple hours. Only good side was the guy on reception was very nice and friendly.

Had an awesome experience with this motel. The owners and staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Lot of privacy and felt happier by meeting a lot of wonderful people. Definitely reccomend this place. Calm and quite with overall serenity.

I was in a room without bunk beds, only 3 normal beds and a couch. Extremely quiet (except for the beds themselves, they were squeaky). Nice staff and easy check-in. One bathroom for 2 rooms. Very good location. I really liked it!

Perfect if you are backpacking and need a cheaper place to stay long term. You can even sleep in your car for a cheap price and still use toilets and the rest of the building without a problem. Very lovely and friendly staff :)

This place is falling apart. There are no water sprinklers so every fire door is kept closed by pneumatic systems. This becomes a pain when you wish to move around in the building: • bedroom to kitchen takes 4 doors • kitchen to lounge takes 2 doors • lounge to bathroom takes 3 doors There are no locks on any of these doors, not even our private double room. Only the main entrance has a combination lock.

We don't like the place at all. The facilities are old and not clean. Toilets are shared, small, often without toilet paper, sinks are too small and dirty. Showers are OK. Rooms look a bit outdated and not a lot of sockets. Kitchen is small, outdated. Lounge is cold (as well as the rooms). Wi-Fi 100MG per person… Don't worth the money!

A bit run down. Even tough they advertise it on there Website, there is no free coffee or tea, even if you ask for it. The free Internet is strongly limited. Just go to BurgerKing if you need great unlimited free Internet. They have got two bikes, if you book via booking com you get them for free.

The owners are very friendly and accommodating. I return there every time I need a place to stay in Christchurch.

The bunk beds were extremely squeaky, I kept waking up from the sounds every time someone moved, climbing up and down was really scary. The staff (or owner? ) At the reception was a little unfriendly. But the whole place was clean and well kept, common areas were nice and sufficient.

Love this place and the owners are beyond nice and incredible! Definitely going to come back!

I stay there 4 months while working in a restaurant and cleaning in the backpack the morning. You'll find a backpack as thousand in NZ but I felt like I was at home they are so friendly and helpful that they will become your family in NZ.
Close to the center and 5 min far from the library.
