First we noticed while filling up the bath we got a strong sewage smell in the whole room. Once we got out of bath we noticed a massive puddle on the floor around the bath. We emptied the bath and dried up the floor. We told reception first thing next morning but he was more worried about his carpet getting wet. Said he will have it looked at and room cleaned while we were out from 9-12am. We arrived to find no one had been and room wasn't even serviced. Had to see cleaners to get fresh towels. Put sign on door for about 30min as we were getting ready for a function. Got back later that night to room hadn't been looked at. Heatpump is noisy. Shower head is probably the dirtiest I've seen. Sewage smell was strong the whole time over the 2 nights we stayed. Told reception as we checked out again and all we got was sorry. Didn't offer to lower the price of the room. Not well maintained. Will never stay again. And certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Stayed here 2 nights, Highly impressed with the service, and nothing was a problem. The room was great, clean & Tidy. Will definitely be back to stay.

Spa pool and shower are amazing. Also a lot of other niggly little things that others miss are just right.

Ownership has changed since my last visit. I've stayed here many times before for work, and everything is charged back by invoice. There was some uncertainty about my booking, with two different systems recording different details. And we had some issues with the invoices not being itemised correctly or charged to the correct company. I was then asked about another guest's booking information as I left. Very strange! Not sure I would return, despite the amazing spa baths!

Great place to stay. We loved the huge spa bath! The receptionist was extremely helpful with local information and passing on messages.

We struck a nasty receptionist. Didn't listen to our request. Acted like we were not wanted. No host skills. Zero telephone skills. Clearly do not give a damn. Coloured our stay a bit.

Very nice unit we hopped into spar bath after a hard day in the sun very nicely situated but need more milk ha ha thanks.

Unbelievable room and service for such a low price. The jacuzzi bath is bigger than my bed at home! What a luxury after 6 days in the wild…

My partner and I had never stayed in any type of motel or hotel before so we had no idea about the time restriction the next morning and the person at the desk didn't tell us when we had to be out by, so we had woken up he had a shower first than I went in, all of a sudden I hear yelling and banging on the door the manager/ owner of the place had barged through the door tried to physically fight my partner and kicked us out, I literally was forced to get dressed and leave immediately. It was the most embarrassing experience of my life and we genuinely had no idea that we had to be out at a certain time. I hope the place gets shut down or comes under new management normal people don't act like that.

This place is AMAZING. As someone who spends most her time travelling for working I couldn't speak more highly of this lodge. The beds were so comfy, apartments adequately equipped and a double spa bath in my room! Who wouldn't want that after a hard day on the road!

Perfect place to get away for the night… Loved the spa in the bedroom… Exactly what my partner and I wanted and needed… Does need too improve on the driveway as its not designed for lowered cars… Other then that more then perfect…

Really nice Motor lodge in a prime location in Wanganui. Right beside all three supermarkets and a slew of fast food options. The rooms were very spacious with a large bathroom and we had a spa bath as well. Friendly staff even recommeded booking directly through them next time to save money. If I need to stay in Wanganui this will be where I will go!

Excellent space and facilities. Very large screen TV: great to watch the rugby. Superior spa bath but with it in the bedroom, rather than bathroom, it became very steamy and tropical for sleeping. Hosts were friendly and kindly allowed an early check in. Would definitely recommend.

Except for the view everything was excellent, but who cares what's outside when you're only there for a nights rest? Everything else is at your fingertips! They even organise your dining at the best restaurant in town. You just turn up to eat. Priced reasonable for what you get although you need a bit of money to afford it! Great.

Incredibly comfortable, perfect for relaxing visit to Wanganui. Wi-Fi signal could do with improvement. Not the best when the hotel across the street can get better reception here.

A must stay in Wanganui. Generous size rooms (we stayed in a Studio) with beautiful linen, a lovely comfy bed and plenty of pillows. The highlight for us was the huge spa bath and massive shower which comfortably fit two very tall (not small) adults. The generous supply of towels, bath robes and those little extras like bubble bath was luxury at a very affordable price. Thank you to our friendly hosts you have a real asset for your lovely little town. :-).

Location, staff and room with spa. There was hardly any view, but there is a limit of what you can expect from a motor lodge. The room was spacious and the spa was great. The lodge is situated close to shops so buying and cooking is easy the bed was comfortable and it was quite even though close to the town centre. They have a good — sized bath as well. One of the better places to stay in Wanganui, and yes the breakfast was good.
