Booked in for easter weekend with my wife this year, was excited for the spa. But spa was not working at all in all the rooms. Also I left some photographs from Rotorua in the room. We called the owner and he said he ll send them. After a week I asked if send our stuff and he said he already sent them but never got them. Cultery was not clean at all. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Worst experience ever.

Nice place for the comparatively small money with Spa Bubble bath. Very good and friendly service.

My partner and I booked a room (room 10 upstairs) here for Valentines day and would definitely recommend. The only reason I haven't awarded 5 stars is because the Internet connection was extremely slow; which is minor really but we would have loved to watch a movie in the amazing hot tub. We found our room to be faultlessly clean and had an extremely comfortable bed. Working in a local holiday park ourselves we are very fussy on cleanliness!. I was surprised to find a gas hob in the kitchen which you don't often find in motels, usually just an awful element type hob so another plus for anyone wanting to cook a decent meal.

Staying here on Valentine's day and was shocked to read the previous negative reviews! The full size hot tub in the room is incredible! The room is immaculately clean (I even checked under all the sheets, in the fridge/microwave). The room comes with tea, coffee, plunger coffee and hot chocolate! What more can you ask for! The decor is modern and the couch and table and chairs and both nice and in very God condition and clean. I would implore everyone who reads the other negative reviews to ignore them. We are having a wonderful stay in a well equipped and clean room. The only slight negative I would stay is the internet isn't the quickest, however it does still work and it is free and unlimited. Thankyou Ashleigh court for a wonderful Valentine's day! We will 100% be returning for round 2 in the hot tub!

Booked for 2 nights but unforseen circumstances resulted me to cancel. Rang Saturday early evening to inform them but told to ring in morning. Rang lunch time next day to be told can't cancel as policy is 5 days notice! WTH! Never have I known this at any motel before! I rang 3 days before to cancel… finally he agreed to cancel… Not happy. Rude abrupt Asian sounding man and could hardly understand him… Never will recommend staying here… sad as it used to be really lovely.

Sorry but not impressed. I requested a ground floor room when booked (for wheelchair access), but on arrival they had us upstairs. Eventually sorted room but found it hadnt been cleaned very well. Found food rubbish in bin from previous occupant and room hadnt been vacuumed. Not enough towels for occupants so had to ask for more. Advised host who eventually sorted issues raised. Just felt they were not prepared… which in turn made us feel rather unwelcome and wishing we had gone elsewhere. We wont be staying here again.

Very outdated, towels looked very tatty and the ends were shriveled up, mattress was terribly stained, didn't sleep in it the rest of our stay. Had ring marks in the spa, which could have been cleaned with a bit more elbow grease. No iron, booked for three and only had 2 towels. Tap in the spa was very mouldy. Found the bed just too low and unomfortable Stayed here several times in the past and use to be our favorite place to stay, has definitely dropped its standard's.

Quite likely to return if they update toaster our room 4 had a terrible toaster couldn’t even look at it. Overall nice.

Cannot understand why this has a 4 rating. Everything about this place is disappointing. Old run down. In serious need of complete haul over. I would hate to think what could be in the beds. Over valued price. Looked like the bathroom had not been cleaned since last guest hair and dirt on floors. Old and very dated bed with thin spring mattress. Dated and smelly towels. I tried very hard to look for something positive. Old dirty and tired. No milk!

Comfortable, spacious, nice big spa, cooking facilities in room, clean, needs fan, otherwise nice stay!

Okay but not really worth the peak time price.

Over all was great with a fabulous spa but one of the blankets had a stain but everything needed was provided.

I'm assuming this place has changed hands since the last reviews listed in October. The room was very outdated. The furniture was well worn, ranch slider had mould and the red towels were ripped and frayed. Customer service was lacking. Internet photos are misleading. Do not recommend.

Awesome service, very clean and welecoming. Great spa and very private. We will be back.

One of the worse places I have ever stayed at in NZ. Ashamed as a Kiwi that this is being promoted as 4 star property to tourists. Carpets were sticky and fake wooden floors very dirty. Top of microwave clearly not been cleaned in months. Covers on couch stained and filthy. Would never stay here again and will be certain to tell people to avoid at all costs. Needs some serious TLC.

Dirty and uncomfortable. Should not be a 4 star as there was no basic comfort, needs lots of maintenance and requires cleaning.

Nice and warm welcome …, bobo is great, helpful, and nice … if you want to be in Rotrua then this the place to be … Rooms are well maintained with all the necessary facilities available.

Been here twice now and love it. Beds are very comfy, nice room and LOVE the in room spa.

We enjoyed our stay. We loved the spa it was comfortable, peaceful, close to the amenities. Friendly Management, bedding was comfortable and the room was very warm. We also appreciated sky television.

Great stay, very comfortable & great hosts. Wish I had longer to soak in spa bath. Awesome.

We were tired from a long drive and really appreciated Roy's friendly and practical help to settle in and where to find a good restaurant to eat at. Thank you both Aldous and Frances.

Stayed a couple of nights, and 1 thing I found was that the units were extremely clean — staff very helpful and it was a pleasant place to stay — would happily recommend this to my friends.

They were very rude, I will never recommend to anyone. Tried to have a conversation with the guy asked about coming in late after a concert, he was like what are you on about your already booked in, okay just making sure there's no rules to coming in late. No warm welcome nothing. Then returning the key the next morning, tried the door it would not open, pushed the buzzer, read the sign open 7.30am it was 9am. Tried the door again the lady came out angry saying why did you pull on the door when it was locked. I explained because I thought it maybe have been stuck. She was like it was locked why try to open it. I was like excuse me! It says open on the door? But it was locked and you pulled on it, yes because I need to hand back my key don't be so RUDE. She said I'm rude your the one that's rude! My thoughts were are you for real lady?
I gave her the key by this time she was in full swing I said calm down and got in my car she was still going on. Unbelievable.

What a lovely place to stay. The actual room was really nice, clean, tidy and had everything you could need. The spa out the back was just awesome and the owners were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. I would stay there again in a heart beat and would highly recommend.

My whanau and I stayed here as after a mean day out, we were too tired to drive home and it was awesome. The guy that showed us to our room was primo and the room was clean and tidy with an awesome spa that the kids loved.

Stayed a few months ago with my partner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were both in awe of the spa bath in our room and felt like 1 night was not long enough so next time we will stay longer :) Thank you for your kindness and hospitality during our stay at Ashleigh Court Motel we will highly recommend you to all.

Had a great night stay for work. Wonderful spa bath, Comfortable bed and friendly service. Were happy to even sell me an egg and toast bread for me to cook in my room for breakfast. Happily come and stay again.

This Motel was exactly what we were looking for. It was a quiet area, well situated to all amenities such as the town center etc. The owners were lovely and very helpful. The cleaning staff were awesome and thorough. Would recommend this motel to others.

We booked this motel as a base for our daughter and her bridesmaids to get ready for her wedding, and then for her and her new husband to spend the first couple of nights of their honeymoon. We were more than impressed with the level and quality of service and would highly recommend this facility. Hosts are friendly and helpful, and when they realised their would be 3 girls (and hairdresser and mother of the bride) in the room to prepare, they moved us to a bigger room with more space for everybody to get ready. Highly recommend Ashleigh Court.

We had 1 nite stay with my partner coming out of hospital that day unexpectedly, the unit was very clean and tidy and quiet. The private spa was wonderful for me and my grandson. The only thing that I felt could have been better was the double bed setup, with one side of the bed being higher than the other, not really a double bed but more like 2 small singles joined together but at different highets, other than that it was a lovely place and very handy to everything.

The hosts at Ashleigh Court couldn't have been more helpful, Booked our dinner and the next days trip. A big thank you. Rates for the room were pretty good as well. Would recommend them anyone.

Nice place, very friendly and helpful stuff, everything you need is available including Sky, dishes, linen, gas, even got a big bubbling bath. Highly recommend all! We were drinking sitting in Jacuzzi, that was awesome.

My wife and I decided to take a little break in Rotorua and got to the Ashleigh court by taking the wrong turn. And how lucky were we, the hosts were amazing. the kitchenette was well equipped and all and all the room were wonderful and the location was nice. highly recommended.

A big family thank you to our hosts, Pam and Roy, you made us very welcome! Our family loved the quiet setting, the outlook and handy location. We were more than ready for a bit of downtime from busy lives, so appreciated the private spa and comfortable room, with a full range of convenient facilities to make for a relaxed stay. It is clear that the owners are working away at refurbishing Ashleigh Court to bring out its potential as a great family base to explore Rotorua. We wish them all the best and look forward to returning next year.

We found the Ashleigh Court Motel to be easy to find, conveniently located, comfortable, clean, well furnished and with the added attraction of a spa bath in each unit with plenty of hot water available. Pam and Roy are great hosts and will do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. The room rates are reasonable as well.
