Absolutely terrible. Sink next to the bed. Dirty "ensuite" toilet and shower… Tiny room. 800 euros for 5 days. The room was filthy and run down. If this is 'charm' then I's hate to see the opposite. The staff ranged from indifferent to unfriendly and refused to change the bedding after two nights. The "breakfast" consisted mainly of stale bread and boiled eggs. The reason this place is in business? Probably the location which is directly next to the Museumsplein and it's well connected with trams etc. Otherwise an utter rip-off.

You get what you pay for. Except for the breakfast, which was classy. They have a man that delivers cheese, meat, and even a boiled egg in one of those egg grails. And you can enjoy a view of the Amsterdam sign while eating it. You can even walk there in 2 minutes, if your idea of vacation is fighting your way through point and shoot cameras to sit on big plastic letters. Fortunately, there's lots else nearby to see and do.
