Stayokay rotterdam black is as good as it gets for a hostel (if you want 5 star pay for 5 star) excellent location good breakfast very helpful staff full size ironing board 5 minutes from black station you can travel direct from schiphol airport.

Hostel isn't great in general, the rooms were quite dirty. Most significantly, though, was the fact that we were robbed during our stay. We had a private room and doors close and lock automatically, we also made sure to check each time we left. During a day trip we had all our valuables stolen by someone who had a keycard to access the room. The hostel refused to call to police when the robbery was noticed at lunchtime, also refused to 'wake up the manager' who was apparently asleep by 9pm when we managed to return after cutting our trip short. Instead they offered to put a note behind reception. Being robbed of hundreds of £s of valuable was bad, but the attitude of the hotel was terrible. No help or support at all, laughing behind reception and not engaging with us, refused to contact the police. We didn't feel safe in the hotel as someone had access to our room, so we left early.

Stayokay is the hostel inside one of the world known cube houses. Breakfast is included in the tariff. Cube houses in Rotterdam is a must visit for once and this architectural beautiful city is near to Amsterdam as well. You can even rent bicycle from here.

It's a great hostel. Delicious variety breakfast. Good internet, location — super. The station is 30 minutes long.

Very nice hostal in an awesome location. The breakfast is delicious. The rooms are nice but during the summer it is very hot and the hostel does not have AC or a rental services of ventilators. But in general a good place to stay.

With no doubts, I would recommend this hostel to my family and friends. With only EUR 27 for a bed inside the dorm, the bed is incredibly comfortable and you have a power socket right next to your bed. It’s so handy if you want to use your phone or other gadget! My favourite is the inverted cubes outlook and the comfort you can get once you are in the room, not to mention the superb breakfast and friendly staff members! The cheese, ham, fruits and coffee are very tasty. This would be my choice if I am visiting Rotterdam again.

There is no common kitchen, it is impossible to make tea, and otherwise it is normal. Unusual design.

When you see the photos on the website, you are looking forward to living in a room where you can see the scenery, but … Into the room after very silly found that the window is open on the ceiling, a little disappointed and see the photo is not the same, but the location is very convenient, with a buffet breakfast, in fact, the CP value is high.

It was a good adventure I have bcp love.

Rooms are super clean. Staff is really friendly. The breakfast is very good for a hostel. Would advice to bring a sleeping mask as there is no possibility to blind the windows.

The area is perfectly located adjacent to the Markthal. The breakfast was good. The check in and out was easy and they have lockers for your bags if you need them. I only stayed for one night.

Architecture and concept great but not to stay.

Simple but tasty meals. Staff very helpful and knowledgable about the city. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great location to access the centre of Rotterdam.

The location is very good, next to railway station and also tourist spots. However the family room is quite small. The facility is almost none except the bed. You even need to make the bed yourself. The breakfast is okay. Considering its price, it’s good overall if u r a budget traveller.

Highly recommended. Very good architecture and facilities, 24 hour service, has good bar and atmosphere, the location is very good. The pieces are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is average quality (can be improved), the Wi-Fi signal is good, the bathrooms are clean and the shower is separate with the toilet and sink. The place has style and good atmosphere.

Awesome place. Conveniently located. Can stay out till late in the night as there is a bar just round the corner. Decent breakfast& Clean and has an electronic locker facility. There are two types of room to choose and ask for a room with slanting walls or skylight depending on what u like.

Very nice looking place, especially on the outside due to its different look. Very welcoming staff who are always there for you. The food was great, usually something new each night. Overall a lovely stay in a lovely place.

Original architecture, cozy and friendly environment, good breakfast, free Wi-Fi. I was in a room with 6 beds. The only thing unwelcome is the bathroom: outdoor sink and shower and toilet in two separate small rooms. Unfortunately no bidet.

Excellent central location, very accessible with tram, metro just outside. Ended up with a private room for six instead of the four room booked. Fantastic breakfast included and the lockers were very good value, using them before and after check in. Loved it.

Good for families. In my case I was traveling solo and it was not so nice. They lack common areas for people to meet in the hostel and most of the people staying here were families, perhaps okay if you are with your friends. Location great, breakfast nothing out of the ordinary.

Good location. Rooms are not too practical, with windows up high, so no view at all. Also our room was overbooked by accident…

Other than the cold room temperature, everything was good. Breakfast is great. Staff is very nice and helpful.

It's an artistic place. The view is mesmorizing. And the stairs can be pretty tricky. :D.

Small rooms but very quaint, perfect location in front of the big market. Recommended Hostel!

Need to pay for hot water.? Its ridiculous. Didn't have to pay one cent at Stayokay in Utrecht. Stayokay Utrecht is definitely a beter option.

The hotel was very welcoming a good restaurant service well located in relation to the center of the city and to the store brief a very pleasant stay.

It is definitely an experience worth living, I had never been to a Hostel, but as we booked a private bucket, we had a hotel experience. Next to the market and the Blaak station, it puts you a step away from everything, the breakfast is buffet, moderately varied, and the cleanliness is very good. Highly recommended.

Amazing place, very nice home, the rooms are simple but OK.

Good if you book a whole room. It's more of cheap hotel than a hostel. Restaurant does not have microwave for warming up your own food.

Nice hostel, with excellent location, besides being a characteristic place of Rotterdam to travel.

One of the best hotel, where I stayed! I paid only 20$ per night. I can recommend it for everyone who need just stay for the night.

Not all rooms are cube shaped… Though the place is very nice and not too expensive. Friendly staff (all wearing 'professional chitchatter' T-shirts). Breakfast is included and more than okay. Extra service cost extra money.

4 stars mainly for the unique Location. Otherwise it is a hostel with the usual basic comfort.

Prices are low, which is a big plus for the location right next to the market place. Anyway, the rooms are small and not well-cleaned. Alcohol as well as food is prohibited in there, so it's not the perfect location for a class trip.

Room very small, special bathroom but good location and not too Expensive.

Wow what a place, room was lovely and clean and the private bathroom was also clean and tidy. The breakfast is amazing and the cheeses and meats are a delicacy. Would be happy to stay here for a week or so.

Really nice staff and good atmosphere. The room wasn't completely clean though.

Our room is a cell to say the least X 2 but they have crammed 4, great location, uncomfortable access, breakfast included sufficient, helpful staff, sufficient cleanliness, lights in shower and in the bathroom hateful, they go out after a few seconds and to reactivate the Sensor you have to move continuously as well as for the shower water.

It requires a bit of adaptation but it was wonderful to sleep inside a work of art.

Excellent location, near the cubic houses of Piet Blom, also offer an excellent bike rental.

Great staff! Rooms are fresh. Breakfast will give you diabetes ☺️ (at least the sprinkles). 10/10 would stay here again.

Particularly well placed and with an atypical architecture we can not miss this hotel but the rooms remain small and the one we were assigned does not really correspond to the photos. Moreover the bathroom resembles that of a hospital with the washbasin at the height of armchair and the chair pierced.

It's not often you get a chance to stay in a tourist attraction. Clean, large common area, great location. The rooms are oddly shaped as you would expect. No kitchen.

Located in a series of cubically shaped buildings, Seventies housing designed by the architect. Dutch Piet Blom, the B&B is a cozy and informal place in the Stayokay style and strategically located for visiting the city.

Sublime. Just missing a kitchen.

Ideal place to lean for a few nights, cheap and quiet.

The only complaint was the check-in and — out timing which was inhospitable for travelling. Other than that, no complaints; chill place and food. When I was there, there were many differently abled kids there as well. They were all having fun while having breakfast. These are rare-sightings.

Lovely friendly staff, good breakfast, it's mainly dormitory accommodation so you'll have to except that you might get the occasional "odd ball" sharing a dorm with you!
Location is excellent, especially with the addition of the Markthal recently.

The architecture is very curious. All very clean. Pleasant staff. Breakfast very good. I have no complaints. This close to the market which is very nice and true that is not far from the sites of echo, everything you can walk without problems.

Medium hard to reach, is like a maze. But it is beautiful! Super cold, no is hostel to meet people, just for a night and that's it. But meets expectations, it is clean and comfortable.

I'd like to know if you could have breakfast there.

Very good hostel with honest prices and good services.

The rooms were very small. So if you only there to sleep, then it's fine.

Only by being inside that building, it is worth. One bedroom with small bathroom a bed or small or large living room and kitchen, all in one without TV. I would without a doubt because it's not very expensive.

Back to basic. Simple rooms, simple service for a reasonable price. But it is real fun to stay in the kubus houses.

Very unique hostel — cool design. Clean with helpful staff. Bar in the hostel has a good selection of beers. Definitely recommend this place.

The hostel was clean, the breakfast was homely (and more importantly — on the house! ), and the location amazing! While the Wi-Fi in the rooms weren't the strongest (you can only get it by standing really really close to the door…) the open area offered a good space to relax after a long day out. Getting to stay in one of Rotterdam's iconic cube houses was a bonus, and with the train station and the main shopping street just minutes away this hostel can't be beat for the price!

A bit small and loud, but very good breakfast and nice atmosphere.

Never go anywhere else other than StayOKay cube. Fancy architecture from outside and inside. At first we were amazed by the design of it from within and totally worth staying for a small holiday. All food places and attractions are nearby.

Great place, interesting architecture and excellent staff. Be aware about the new "Stayokay-style" unlockable lockers (actually just a shelf) as someone stole my wallet from this hostel during the early morning hours.
