Tsumeb Backpackers & Safari

Bad. This place is literally infected with bugs and holes in the wall. I am absolutely terrified of this building. The stairs up are wobbly and unstable. I can see the ceiling through the cracks. The bathrooms are bad too. The taps don't work properly the water comes out the opposite side. The brick walls make me uncomfortable and there was a HUGE spider on the wall and a worm by the beds on the floor. The aircon worked smoothly, maybe too smoothly, I am however uncomfortable with the ventilation fans. The services was good however, maybe just cook your pizzas a little bit more.

Sadly we could only stay one night but we had such a fun evening with the staff. It's a beautiful decorated place, the prices for the rooms are absolute fair and the staff are the nicest people! The bed was super comfy and the shower is so big. Would recommend staying there with all my heart 💚

We generally liked the room we got but felt a little tight (the whole place is relatively small). There was airconditioning in our room, which was great. Service was good and so was the food (dinner and breakfast). The location felt safe. We stopped over for one night between Etosha and Spitzkoppe and did not explore the area.

We had once again a wonderfull time at this quaint paradise.
Staff are friendly, food is good. Lovely vibe to it. Rooms are fitted with all the most important amenities with a special touch everywhere. What an lovely stay. Manager was very Profesional and welcoming.

We found Villa Africa after our initial plans fell through as we had reached town, and Pierre checked us in at nearly 09:00pm and got us our room. The quality of service by Pierre and the staff far outweighs the nightly rate. Pierre actually helped us check out at 05:00 in the morning when we planned to visit Etosha at opening hours! This guesthouse earns my highest recommendation.

We really enjoyed our stay! The guy who checked us in was really helpful and friendly, explained us a lot about Etosha. They were flexible to change a date, we got a flat tyre on the way so we had to change plans a bit. The room was big and clean, with all facilities you need. Comfortable beds. We really liked the common area outside, with a bar, good (not loud) music, swimming pool etc. A nice place to meet other traveller's. Private parking. We enjoyed our stay!

We stayed one night at Tsumeb backpackers in a room. The atmosphere has a very good backpacker wibe to it, cozy furniture, a bar in the sand, very helpful staff who knows the area well, books and pamphlets. The dormitories are probably exceptional (our friend stayed there), with large kitchens and a balcony. Rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable — high hotel standard. Perfect stopover, and try their pizza! Best pizza we had so far.

Awesome place! Super friendly people, I met them as strangers, and I am leaving them as friends… Clean rooms, safe environment, best coctails! ☺️ I will definitely come again when I am in Tsumeb. The highlight, of course, is the unique beach-combi-bar vibes! All and all, highly recommended.

Very nice friendly and relaxing atmosphere with welcoming staff and management I would highly recommend them for a break from the stress of every day life. The food was also very good especially the wood fired pizzas which also come in a variety of flavors. The kombi bar also gave a very unique and special twist to the scenery. The rooms were very clean and the linen felt premium luxurious to the touch.

Clean comfortable room, cozy outdoor dining area (you should try the wood fired pizza! ) and nice quiet, safe location with gated parking. What really sets the place apart however is the owner— he is extremely knowledgeable about the area and Etosha and extremely helpful! My time in the area would not have been nearly as productive or enjoyable without his advice!

This is an amazing place, I had so much fun, friendly staff, comfortable beds with great meals. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves calm and quietness. Well done.

It was great. The hostess was kind and the food was good. The rooms were comfortable and we felt secure and safe. Can't complain!

What an absolute privilege to stay here. Its location is convenient and easy to find. The rooms are beautiful and very well kept. Our host was so helpful and accommodating, he even woke up early to help us out at 5:30 in the morning. A spectacular courtyard area and great food make this an all round great place to stay.

Great place! We stayed for three nights and enjoyed every single one of them. The owners are nice and really helpful and gave us some very good tips on places to visit in Tsumeb and its vicinity. Would definitely stay there again and recommend the place to anyone. Rooms are clean and good-looking and equipped with AC.
