Stiltz Guest House

The Stiltz is a nice place to stay. The individual wooden chalets on stilts offer a special atmosphere, with privacy and comfort in a very natural setting.
The service was very friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was great, with a good variety and fresh ingredients to start the day right.
The room was clean and cozy, with everything you need. While it doesn’t have air conditioning, the coastal breeze made it comfortable enough during our stay.

De Stilz was the perfect base for exploring the area around Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour (only about a 40-minute drive). The hotel itself is a little dated, but it still provided a very pleasant and charming stay. Great value for money, and with restaurants within easy walking distance, everything was convenient. Just keep in mind that the coast can be quite chilly – including in the rooms – so don’t forget to pack a warm sweater and a windbreaker.

We spent the last two nights of our honeymoon here after camping for 4 weeks around Namibia and Botswana. It was perfect. The rooms are beautiful and we were in Lodge 6 with a fabulous view of the sea and the estuary (with flamingoes outside). We had a lounge area, lovely bathroom and a deck overlooking the sea. It's not often sunny in Swakopmund but the misty, sea air was very atmospheric and it's a short walk to the town centre and restaurants and shops. Breakfast is very good too and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A beautiful and unique place to stay.

Great one night stopover. We arrived in the hot month and not a fan or aircon in sight. Made our stay a bit uncomfortable. Breakfast was included and very nice.

We stayed here for 3 nights in room We had the perfect spot for sunset. The room is large and comfortable. The bathroom is nice, but could use some shampoo and conditioner. Only body wash available. The buffet breakfast was delicious and the ladies that work it are super kind. Johnny B good is the night watchman and he is so friendly. We felt completely safe knowing he was watching over us.
You are at the south end of town, but a very close walk to the Tiger Reef restaurant and only a short drive into the middle of town. All and all a very pleasant stay:)

Small boutique hotel with unique design. Little chalets with breakfast only. Helpful staff can support making reservations for dinner.

We had 3 nights with breakfast here. Very large room. Not super modern but cosy, clean and comfortable. We really liked this place. Would definitely stay here again if I come back.

We always stay at the Stiltz when we come to Swakopmund — the welcome is so friendly and the rooms are amazing, with superb views over a lagoon full of wildfowl. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Very easy to walk into town. Highly recommended.

Our third stop on a 16 day trip to Namibia and back to Riebeek West-South Africa —
We stayed here with two couples from 09 till 12 September 2024 — rather cold in Swakopmund — we ourselves had the first cabin and our family the one on the right side on the end with an ocean view; the flamingos at their feet (electric blankets) — cleanliness was OK.
Some things can be improved to give it a more up to date standard but all in all we had a great time.
We booked via the guest house itself and everything goes right.
We were welcomed by an outstanding friendly staff and security guard — there was no place at the car park but obviously it is a safe area.
The luggage of our family was stayed behind in Cape Town International and the staff made an arrangement to get it back the other day.
They made also the arrangements for dinner at Brewer and Butcher, Ocean Cellar and The Jetty.
Breakfast (buffet) was very good, and we were always very early birds (due to Sandwich Harbour — and catamaran activity)
Wifi is available in the room, but you get a better signal in the restaurant area.
Highly recommended.

This place has a real rustic charm but when we there it was cold and damp. This must happen a lot as there were heaters provided and even electric blankets (which I used because the sheets felt cold and damp). Only a few of the huts actually have a view of the sea / estuary. Breakfast wasn't great, if you want hot pancakes go early as they are cooked but not kept warm. Elsie on reception was a true star, couldn't have been more helpful when we had issues we car hire and health. That said, don't think I'd return.

A wooden hotel with thatched roof on stilts, as the name says, on the beach of the Atlantic. The walk to the rooms is via jetties. Spectacular views from the spacious room, which features a sitting area, coffee bar, en-suite bathroom. Staff is super friendly and attentive.

What a friendly check in. Did everything to accommodate our needs. Rooms are great. Beds are good. A hotel with mich charm, which may not often be the case in Swakopmund.

Breakfast, included, was excellent — and the coffee was absolutely fabulous.

Beautiful Hotel with bungalows on stilts on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, spacious and yet cosy rooms, large windows for great views! Beds are most comfortable! Bathroom with perfectly functional shower. Breakfast room with view to the ocean and a flock of Flamingoes.

The room was very nice and the staff as well. My only complaint is regarding the smell of the room. As soon as we entered our room, it smelled very bad (like pee or toilets). My grand parents room smelled even worse. However, the villa did not have any smell.

We booked The Stiltz hotel for 6 nights and I think it was bit too many nights. Room have part of ocean view.
Staff is great as always in Namibia. Room is also beautiful, but the smell is awfull. No air condition, but No need one, cause its next to ocean.
The view is amazing and u can hear sound of the ocean while u are sleeping. Which calm u down.
Breakfast is good and there is everything u need. Location is good, near to center.
