We spent our very first night in Namibia at Villa Violet. We very much enjoyed and deeply appreciated the genuine hospitality and the welcoming atmosphere. This can be largely attributed to the friendly and engaging disposition of the staff/team. The vibrant and pleasant interior design of Villa Violet also contributed to feeling as though we could really take a load off, put up our feet and settle into our three week trip exploring Namibia.
The Villa is located in Windhoek on a secured property with six double rooms.
The front desk manager, Maggie, kindly provided tips and information, answering any questions we had. Upon check in, she took the time to show us our rooms and the kitchen area, including the complementary tea & coffee available in the dining room.
One of the important aspects for me, personally, while traveling is keeping up with my running training. Maggie happily provided information about areas in the vicinity of the Villa where I could go running.
For our evening meal, we were recommended the nearby Joe's Beer House. We had the option to drive ourselves or use the shuttle service organized by Villa Violet. Due to our extended travel, we chose to use the shuttle service (50 Namibian dollars p. P. Each way).
At breakfast the following morning, we sat down to a colorful, decorative place setting. Each place mat was set with two plates, a colorful bowl and a mason glass filled with a medley of freshly chopped fruits.
Loved this property. Wish we had had more time there to enjoy the amenities. The staff was very accommodating of our early morning departure. A gem in Windhoek.

Stayed two nights one at start of trip and one at end, overall good experience. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, no complaints for cleanliness or accommodations overall. The construction methods are eclectic but nothing that upset anyone. A bit of a mixed experience with the staff. Also if you are looking to order in food for dinner, best to head online or call some of the local places yourself. I had front desk help me and ended up overpaying, basically triple the cost of ordering from a local spot online. I take responsibility for my own laziness but wanted to share for others to know better. Best price for a Savannah Dry in all of Namibia, water was also fairly priced.
