If I could give Riad Zara more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported into a world of beauty, warmth, and unparalleled hospitality. This is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave.
The Hosts: Shijia and Alice – The Heart of Riad Zara.
The soul of this magical place lies in its incredible hosts, Shijia and her sister Alice. Their kindness and genuine care made me feel like I was staying with family rather than at a hotel. Shijia, the boss, has an incredible eye for detail and ensures every guest feels special. Alice, with her radiant smile and warm personality, is always ready to help or share a delightful conversation. Together, they create an atmosphere of warmth and friendship that is truly rare. Their passion for hospitality shines through in everything they do, and it’s impossible not to feel at home in their presence.
The Food: A Culinary Journey.
The food at Riad Zara is nothing short of extraordinary. Every meal felt like a celebration of flavors, with dishes that were both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. Whether it was a traditional Moroccan tagine or a refreshing salad, each bite was a testament to the care and skill of the chefs. Breakfast on the terrace was a daily highlight, with fresh pastries, fruits, and aromatic coffee that set the perfect tone for the day.

During my stay at Riad Zara in Marrakech, I was captivated by the harmonious blend of comfort, hospitality, and authentic Moroccan charm.
The room was immaculate, reflecting the riad's commitment to cleanliness—a sentiment echoed by many guests who have rated its cleanliness highly.
Each morning, I awoke to the delightful sounds of birds chirping, adding a natural symphony to the tranquil ambiance of the riad's courtyard.
What's more, on the top of the terrace, we can see the grand ATLAS mountain covered with the pure snow whichi bring us the fresh air and the serenity.
The dinners were a marvelous fusion of Moroccan and Asian cuisines, showcasing a unique culinary creativity that left a lasting impression.

My friend and I had the most amazing stay in this Riad. We loved the authenticity of this place and that it is a guest house where you feel home and not like in a hotel where you only sleep. Monique is a perfect host, she is super helpful with everything and really friendly. If you search a place in an authentic Moroccan neighbourhood in a beautiful Riad with a welcoming host, this is the place where you should go. If I ever come back to Marrakesh I will definitely stay here again.

Location is great inside the Medina however it was a little bit not easy for backpackers to catch a taxi back to airport or to continue their trip. The Riad is so amazing the people working there are very kind and they’re always ready to help you. It’s a very quiet place and Sirin if you want to relax, it’s the right place to book your stay in Marrakesh.

The Riad is incredibly beautiful, little birds chirping from the trees in the courtyard and ornate details everywhere. I especially loved the beautifully painted doors.
Our hostess Monique is warm and funny, full of helpful tips and a great cook. She is an interesting woman who has lived there for 20 years, I wish her well in her return to France but am sad I won't get to return to Riad Zara as it is now. Thank you Monique for adding so much to our holiday.
The neighbourhood is fascinating, not touristy at all, full of local people going about their day on the busy noisy street full of cats and mopeds. I found the bustle and noise invigorating and it was such a contrast to the lovely calm of the Riad.

We really enjoyed our time at Riad Zara. The room was perfectly cleaned and the breakfast each morning was fantastic. Monique is an excellent host, taking the time to help us coordinate taxis and activities, and giving really helpful advice throughout our stay. It’s a beautiful, cozy place to stay. :)

The place is beautiful and comfortable. Our room was always clean and well packed with everything we needed. Perfect balance between a hotel and a family home.
Monique was always keen to help. All her tips about dos and don’ts in Marrakech guided our trip, she even gave us a Arabic lesson to know the basics to communicate as a tourist.
Food was delicious and home made.
Monique is strict in terms of the Riad’s rules so if you’re looking for a quiet family place, this is your Riad. If you want a more fun, active, party experience, definitely not.

This Riad is the most perfect of the perfect, a haven of peace in this tumultuous Marrakech. Tariq was an exceptional guest, the breakfast is delicious, the terrace splendid and the room flirtatious and clean. I highly recommend!
