On our second night, we arrived tired from our desert tour and asked for dinner. The receptionist treated us rudely and said we should have told him in advance that we wanted dinner. Isn't dinner the least a hotel should provide for its guests? I thought it was rude and impolite to a guest. After we insisted, he agreed to serve dinner, but we could hear him arguing with the kitchen staff from the reception desk. I think they didn't want to make us dinner either. And another really disappointing thing: our room hadn't been cleaned. We were out all day, and they didn't clean our room, our bathroom, or even change the towels. I even asked for a broom to clean it myself. In short, this male receptionist doesn't know how to be polite to guests. We appreciate being treated well and given a good welcome. The receptionist who was here at the hotel the day we arrived was very nice, very kind, very polite. A+ for him. But the second one shouldn't even be there.

We booked directly through the hotel’s website and unfortunately when we arrived they could not find our booking. We found the receptionist dealing with the situation quite inept and unfriendly, especially given it was their mistake (no apology, no concessions offered). They also were not able to serve any food one day, which given the remote location of the hotel is problematic (there is nowhere walking distance to grab any sort of food). We also asked about using the spa, but they said it was not available. On a positive note, one of the receptionists was super friendly; ironically he was the night shift receptionist, whereas the less friendly one was on day shift. The place is as beautiful as the photos, but lacks the level of service required of a 4-star hotel.

The staff at the Riad make you feel like you are at staff. The service is very professional and the property is well appointed with a pool, spa and lots of space for relaxing. The breakfast was free, and incredible! Omlette, orange juice, French toast, so many delicious pasteries all on a large plate. Lunch and Dinner was incredible, all with local choices as well as pizza and fries. My room was much better than I dreamed with a very large terrace over the pool. I also had time to check out the spa and experience the Hammam treatment. Highly recommended!

One of the receptionists was very friendly, the other one not so much. The second one sadly didn't speak French nor English, making communication harder, especially if one of the parties isn't keen on doing an effort.
The breakfast was alright, but it always takes a long time for to arrive, so be prepared for that.
On a positive note: the swimming pool and the garden were clean and pretty. The rooms are spacious, but sadly there wasn't a socket next to the bed, just a minor inconvenience.
Sadly, two of our towels weren't there, and didn't arrive in an hour after asking for them.
They were very friendly, though, in making breakfast for us on our last day before leaving at 4:45am. Overall a good experience but some easily improvable points were missing.

Spent 10 days here with our 6year old and a new baby. It’s a lovely place and the small team will do anything to help. Service is 5star. They recommended a driver who was then on hand all week at not a great cost to take us into the centre and arrange day trips ect. Definitely a peaceful place not too far from the centre. There is nothing in walking distance so good to keep in mind. The pool is cold in the winter but we made the most of days out to other heated pools so didn’t bother us.

Very nice and cozy place, the place is handled by professional staff that gives a pretty particular attention to details. I highly recommend. The communication is very good and the service is top level.

I really enjoyed my stay at Riad Villa Saphir. A short distance from the chaos of the Medina, it was the perfect place for peace and relaxation. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and my room was comfortable. The villa and grounds are really beautiful. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. I'll definitely be back.
