Riad Olma

Decided to try a few nights at this stunning Olma with a group of friends recently and found our stay delightful. We booked three of the five bedrooms and considered ourselves lucky to have found such a delightful place to stay. The Olma is situated very close to the Plaza Jemaa el-Fnaa, which is less than a ten minute walk. It´s a huge open air market with everything under the sun for sale.
The Riad Olma itself is beautifully decorated, retaining a traditional Moroccan style, the bedrooms are a reasonable size and en suite. The property is very stylish and well furnished. There is a beautiful upper terrace/balcony with sunbeds and an al fresco dining area. From this level you get a great view towards the Medina of Marrakech.
The Food at the Olma was superb and the staff were very kind, knowlegable and helpful when organising trips, sightseeing and pretty much anything else you need help or advice with.
We were also very fortunate to hire a local guide called Othmane. He is definitely a top priority if you want to be sure of great service and he is a very good driver too, highly recommended! If you want his details, just ask the staff at the Olma and they will oblige. I can definitely recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Marrakech looking to enjoy the real taste of Morocco.

This might be a long review, but there is no short way to describe our experience.
My partner and I stood at this Riad after a last minute cancellation from where we were to stay for my birthday. I really thought my birthday would be ruined and was sad and overwhelmed.
I am so pleased we found this place! A piece of Heaven that made my birthday such a special day! We knew it was perfect when we arrived after 3 hours on bus, and were received by the lovely Mohamed, the Chef with a big smile and 2 bottles of fresh water. Such pleasanty and dedication. Then we met Yassine that was there to help us, make sure everyone was ok and always with such a smile that made our days better. Together they made everything perfect! We met Adnan in the morning as we were served the best breakfast ever! Again, kindness and a welcoming service! And for my birthday dinner, Mohamed cooked us the best Chicken and Lemon tagine we had in our lives, served on the roof terrace by Yassine and him, with care and always checking nothing was missing. We enjoyed their Hammam Bath, the sunset on the terrace, tea and coffee in the evening… everything and everyone was amazing! We didn't want to leave. We were well taken care of and I cannot recommend enough this Riad, the staff, the room, the pool… the toiletries in the shower were amazing… I don't know what perfection is, but this was perfect for me. They saved my birthday! Thank you so so much Mohamed, Yassine and Adnan.
