Our stay at the riad in Marrakesh was overall very pleasant. The place is beautiful, very clean, and has a charming traditional design that really adds to the experience of staying in the medina. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing.
However, there are a couple of things that could be improved. The windows are made of wood and are not well insulated. Maybe this is simply how traditional riads are built, but we did not expect to hear almost everything from outside and from other rooms. At the same time, it also felt like we could easily be heard from our room by people in the other rooms.
The location is also a bit far from the central part of the medina. While it is still walkable, the route there is not the most pleasant, especially in the evening.
We also tried the hammam and massage. Unfortunately, the hammam experience was not really worth the money. The room was very small and quite closed, and we were left alone there for much longer than expected, which made the experience a bit uncomfortable. The massage itself was nice, but the massage room was also very small, especially for two people at the same time.
Overall, the riad is beautiful and well maintained, but we would probably skip the spa services next time.
