Riad El Wiam

It’s hard to know where to start with Riad El Wiam. When I saw the images of it online, I knew instantly it was the place I needed to book. From the moment I arrived, it really lived up to every high expectation I had of it — and then some.
My taxi from the airport dropped me in the Medina, at a spot close to the riad. Within a minute of arriving, a member of the hotel staff came to meet me and escorted me to the riad, which was a lovely touch.
Upon arrival, I was in awe of the interior of the place. The decor and feel is absolutely stunning and grand, with a genuine Moroccan feel. It was beautiful decorated, clean and eye catching. I was then treated to some Moroccan tea and cookies, which were lovely.
The room and adjoining bathroom were both big and spacious, with stunning ornate carvings in the wooden details and furniture.
The roof terrace was large with a fantastic spot to lounge in the sun, a small pool for cooling down and a sheltered seating area with tables.
The staff were incredible throughout. I was served an amazing, plentiful breakfast on the roof terrace each morning and I truly felt like the staff could not do enough for me the entire time I was there. They were wonderful.
Marrakech itself is an incredible place, but this riad is a calm, cool and quiet escape, perfectly located in the middle of the bustling Medina.

Stayed for five days with my partner. Such a beautiful place run by a very friendly host. We were lucky enough to have the entire road to ourselves too! Breakfast was great and served whenever we needed on top of the roof terrace which was always a great varied spread. We were greeted with Moroccan tea and biscuits on arrival, the rooms are lovely and have great aircon with an extremely comfortable bed and spacious shower/toilet facilities. Lovely decor and only ten minutes walk from the medina, a few great restaurants closer by which don’t seem like much but the food was honestly incredible. I’ve stayed in Morocco many times and this was definitely one of my favourite places. Friendly, spacious, affordable and very pretty.

Riad El Wiam is a true gem in Marrakech. This riad/guesthouse combines luxury, elegance and Moroccan tradition. The rooftop is sumptuous, a peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. The rooms are magnificent, we stayed in the Menara room, with carved and hand painted ceiling, decorated with gorgeous furniture and beautiful bedding. Every detail is thought of to offer a unique experience. Their in-house chef offers delicious authentic cuisine, with a special mention for breakfast, a real treat. The service is impeccable, always attentive and discreet. A stay at El Wiam is much more than just accommodation, it is a true immersion in the Moroccan art of living, especially when the owner or her mother are around. We had the privilege of meeting them both, we will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

Wonderful Riad, a dream stay right in the middle of Medina old town! Bo and all the staff has ben incredibly helpful and attentive, the place is a real gem, the rooms are beautiful and the terrace is wonderful. A real treat!

The Riad is very pleasant, the rooms are spacious and a touch of luxury. It's super quiet because it's away from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast on the beautiful terrace is excellent. The lovely multilingual and attentive staff. Thanks for all the service 🌹

My family and I booked our stay at Riad El Wiam for 3 nights. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with the most respect by Yassine. He and another man carried our luggage from the parking lot outside the city all the way up to our rooms in the Riad (by foot, in the summer heat of Marrakech). Throughout our stay, Yassine showed us around the city, gave us helpful tips and recommendations.
The amenities in each room (shower, blow dryer, mattress, AC, etc. ) functioned as expected. And every room had its charm. Breakfast was paradise; from the food to the service to the view on the rooftop.
What we enjoyed the most about our stay was the staff. Everyone works together to provide the best experience possible.

Lovely riad! The location is fantastic, situated in a quiet neighborhood yet within walking distance to everything you need. The riad has just been renovated and it shows – everything is fresh and beautifully designed. Highly recommend it!

I am not even sure where to start, but one thing is for sure — IT WAS MY BEST STAY EVER! I chose this beautiful riad for my 29th bday and invited 9 of my best friends. It was the most precious gift I gave to myself. As a very well-traveled person, sometimes it's hard for me to get excited and amused by places, but this stay completely blew up my mind and the minds of my girlfriends. From the very first communication with Bouchra, I felt so cared. She was extremely responsive, friendly, and flexible, and suggested lots of extra amenities. She is a great planner! (I am telling this as a wedding planner myself! ) Once we arrived, we literally felt like princesses, the riad was a real palace! Luxury materials, space, light, it's simply 4 floors of high-end life! But the most touching part was the staff working in Riad. Fatima (Bouchra's mother), welcomed us as we were close friends — I have never felt so welcomed. She and the help of the house took the best care of us! WE ALL LOVED IT!

Such a great experience staying for the first time in a Riad within the Medina of Marrakesh. Our room was colourful as was the rest of the Riad and very relaxing. What also made this Riad special were the staff. They were truly genuine and also helpful. They made a mean breakfast up on the roof top. The location was superb, of course you will get lost but that is all part of the experience. I treasure my stay here.

Such a beautiful riad! Absolutely gorgeous interiors, lovely staff, great location. Delicious breakfast served on the amazing roof terrace. It’s a calm and peaceful oasis amid the madness of the medina. My favourite place in our whole trip.

I cannot say enough about this facility. I travel all over the world but I cannot remember a stay as pleasant as this one in years. Naima and Youseff were so attentive and took an interest in helping me get to excursions (even when I didn't ask). I truly cannot say enough about the hospitality the staff exhibited. The room and entire Riad was spotless, and my room was comfortable and spacious. Every morning, Youseff met me on the rooftop terrace, ready to serve me breakfast and coffee with a smile on and something nice to say. If you are looking for a comfortable, care free stay in Marrakech, I STRONGLY advise staying here, as I will make this a permanent stop whenever passing through.

We booked to bring our 18 year old son and twelve year old daughter for a 3 night trip to Marrakesh. Riad El Wiam is set right in the heart of the medina, within walking distance to all of the sights. We were greeted like old friends upon arrival. We booked a pick up from the airport and Simo met us at the taxi. Whilst we were there our son celebrated his 18th birthday and Naima presented him with a cake, which was so thoughtful. The rooms are clean and the Riad is stunning, from its courtyard with fountain to its rooftop terrace. The staff were incredibly friendly, Abdul was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble and looked after us throughout our stay. It can be a little daunting when you first come to Marrakesh but most of the locals are very friendly. I would definitely stay here and recommend here to friends if you want to experience the real Marrakesh.
