This Riad is filthy, faeces on the towels and the white shower curtain has turned orange with the dirt, the blankets are stinking and full of stains and the dust on the rugs is about an inch thick. It’s not accessible by taxi as it’s in a lane but owners said taxi drops you off at the door but they forgot to tell you it’s the door to the Medina and you have to walk 15 minutes. Then the caretaker arrives with a market trolley for the luggage and brings you to the Riad then insists you have to go to the roof top to drink cold tea and only when you pay the city tax he then gives you a lock and key for the door, he’s very intimidating and not a word of English so there’s a three way conversation with the owner telling him that to do and say, I wouldn’t recommend this Riad to anyone but especially girls as it’s a terrifying experience.
Dirty place with faeces on towels and dirty smelly blankets with an intimidating scary caretaker who doesn’t speak English so there’s a three way conversation going on with the owners, your brought up 40 stairs and told to drink cold tea and give the caretaker money and only after this you get a padlock for your room. The advertising was accessible by taxi, your brought to the end of the road and your luggage put into a market trolley and have to walk 15 minutes as the road is too narrow for cars taxis etc, we asked the owner to send us the details of exact location for car access and we never received it. It’s one of the worst accommodations in Marrakech due to it’s dirt and safety issues and it’s not suitable for ladies travelling single or with friends, in my opinion I say it’s more suited to lads looking to do as they please.

An absolute gem! We stayed 2 nights at Riad Borj Dar Lamane and were truly impressed. The owner, Bouchra, is exceptionally kind, attentive, and proactive in helping with our planning. Thanks to her recommendations, we discovered authentic dining spots, must-see attractions, and valuable tips to navigate Marrakech with ease.
The riad itself is a serene oasis: refreshingly cool in the Marrakech heat, impeccably clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious with plenty of comfort, including large bathrooms and all the essentials. On top of that, the terrace is perfect for enjoying a relaxed breakfast or spending a cozy evening. Another big plus: we were able to park close to the riad, which made everything even more convenient.
The staff is friendly, flexible, and highly service-oriented. Most remarkable is the tranquility—inside the riad you hear nothing of the hustle and bustle outside, making it the perfect retreat after a busy day in the city.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort, authenticity, and true Moroccan hospitality.
