If you're going to stay in a riad in Marrakech, this should be it. It's spotlessly clean, and the decor is understatedly magnificent. Aladin and Hisham are incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly people. We were very lucky to have met them. Breakfast on the terrace is plentiful and very enjoyable. The riad's unique aromas and music are very impressive. The treats are wonderful. You don't need to look for another riad!
My husband and I recently stayed at this superb Riad. We were greeted on arrival by the lovely Chadi and during our stay both he and Aladdin were both superb. Very helpful and courteous. Both spoke very good English. Everywhere was very clean. The cleaners worked very hard each morning keeping the place spotless. The bed was super comfortable. The breakfast (up on the roof) was also very good with our choice of eggs, fresh fruit yoghurt, a variety of fresh Morrocan breads, jam and honey. Freshly squeezed orange juice and tea or coffee. We had dinner one night which was equally delicious. The taxi from the airport will drop you as far as cars can go which is in a type of square. It is literally a 2 minute walk along a narrow passageway with 2 or 3 shops on the right hand side, to the door in the wall. Beware! Unfortunately we weren’t aware of this and accepted help from a local ‘barrow porter’ who led us ‘round the houses’ with our suitcase for 35 minutes! Then of course expected a nice tip for his services. He was nothing to do with L’Ecrin but thought it would help to share this with any future guests.

An absolute gem of a place. This was my sister Veloshnee and my first trip to Morocco and L'ecrine and the incredible staff, Soufiane, Aladin Farida and Naïma are terrific ambassadors for Marrakesh.
