One of a kind place with one of a kind staff. From the moment I booked my room until my last minute at the Riad, the hospitality was more than 5 stars. They accommodated me well and provided a bunch of recommendations. Thank you to the staff (sorry if I misspell any names) Veerle, Hasseim, Mustafa, Aziz, Said, Ishmael, and all of the cooks/ housekeepers. Shukran!

Perfect stay at Riad Sakkan!
I have no words to describe my stay at Riad Sakkan. The architecture is beautiful, charming, and elegant. Everything is spotless and of the highest quality — from the bed linens to the amenities and furniture. The service is absolutely impeccable.
Halim was incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to share the best tips about Marrakech — what to visit, where to eat, and where to shop. The chef prepares delicious dishes; don’t miss the cucumber and avocado gazpacho and the chicken tagine, both outstanding!
Every single staff member was helpful, polite, and genuinely warm. Breakfast was also excellent.
I truly hope to return soon!

Riad Sakkan is beautifully located in the heart of the Medina. It combines contemporary Flemish art and decoration with the charm of a tastefully renovated traditional riad. The rooftop is absolutely lovely, with cozy lounge and seating areas perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
The pool is located in the patio, but in October it doesn’t get any sun. The water was cloudy during our stay, though the staff tried to fix it with a chlorine shock treatment — which unfortunately made swimming less pleasant at that moment.
The riad could use some maintenance and a bit of refreshing, but hopefully the owner will address this once the ongoing expansion works are completed.

I had a blast exploring the Medina from this location. The riad itself was amazing to lounge in with many areas at all 3 levels of the building. The floor had the pool and lounge and the rooftop had the dining area and bar. They don’t supply alcohol but had a great variety of drinks available. Shoutout to Mustapha and the team for making it an unforgettable experience!

Where do I start with this review? I booked Marrakech for my partners 30th birthday and after searching high and low for the perfect Riad, I chose Sakkan and I couldn’t be more pleased with this decision.
Not only is it absolutely beautiful (and looks exactly like the photos) it is also in the perfect location within walking distance to almost everything you need when visiting Marrakech.
But aside from the beauty and the accessibility, the staff were absolutely phenomenal. Their attention to detail, the prompt email responses prior to the visit, their attentiveness, their care, I really could go on. It was such a brilliant stay and if we ever come back to Marrakech, I wouldn’t bother looking to stay anywhere else.

We are so pleased to have chosen Sakkan for our first stop on our honeymoon to Marrakesh — the most perfect place. We received such a warm welcome from Ismail, who was so helpful throughout our stay, nothing was ever to big to ask. Everyone else greeted us with a smile and helped us with whatever we needed.
The food was outstanding, starting with breakfast which was so fresh and tasty! Lunches and dinners, of which we had a few were delightful and delicious, authentic but sophisticated. The mocktails get a special mention as they were truly amazing!
It was our first trip to Morocco and we enjoyed experiencing a hamman as a couple which was great!
It was lovely to be right on the doorstep of lots of activity in the souks, best restaurants and sites. Although, always so special to return to Sakkan's tranquil space for some quiet time by the pool or terrace, listening to some beautiful jazz and beautiful smell of diffusers (which we now have at home! )
We can't wait to visit Sakkan again, thank you so much for having us!

Best of the three riads I stayed at in Marrakech. The owner and the staff are super kind. Good vibe and atmosphere. Great art and food compared to other places. Rooms are spacious. More clean than other riads (by Moroccan standards) nothing here is super clean.

Look no further, you've found the perfect riad in Marrakech! The staff are absolutely wonderful, the rooms are very chic and the pool is perfect on a hot day. The restaurant serves fresh and wonderfully tasting food. It's positioned right in the Medina so no need for taxis, everything is a short stroll away. I can't recommend this place enough. It was perfect.

This was an absolutely awful experience. Do NOT stay here unless you enjoy feeling disrespected and treated like a burden. My friend and I took a simple shower which is a basic right. However, the room on the floor beneath us started leaking, due to their plumbing issues but they chose to blame us and pinpoint instead of acknowledging their own faults. They had the audacity to blame us for it. As if we personally designed their cheap, poorly built hotel? Ridiculous. We felt like it was a mistake staying here. On top of that, the staff is so rude. We played music for 5-10 minutes on my phone and stopped when we were told that it disturbs other guests. However, again they chose to put it on us and bash us for it. If you’re looking for a place where the management lacks basic professionalism, blames guests for their own maintenance failures, and treats people with complete disrespect, then by all means, stay here :) ) (the good thing was the breakfast, and the very helpful man who made it for us along with the people on the rooftop)

I recently celebrated my birthday at Riad Sakkan, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I received clear, detailed pre-arrival instructions to the effortless check-out, every aspect of my stay was perfectly executed.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with phenomenal service—a prompt airport pick-up and a helpful trolley assist with my luggage set the tone for the impeccable care to follow. My room was beautifully appointed, with thoughtful details that created an intimate and inviting atmosphere.
The culinary experience was a highlight in itself. The welcome dinner menu, teas and breakfast were all absolutely delicious, and each meal served throughout my stay impressed with both flavor and presentation. I particularly cherished the relaxed evenings spent by the live fire and in the upstairs lounge, where I could enjoy a glass of wine without ever feeling rushed.
Every staff member I encountered exuded genuine enthusiasm and pride in their work, offering excellent recommendations for local activities. A special thank you goes to Ishmail and both Muhammads, whose attentive support made my birthday celebration truly memorable.
I look forward to returning to Riad Sakkan—especially once the spa opens—to relive this remarkable experience. Thank you for making my birthday one to remember!

Riad Sakkan is a picture perfect calm from the busy medina. It's ideally located close to the souks and to taxis to take you into town.
The staff were all friendly and helpful. Shout out to Smail who gave us helpful tips, particularly on what is a reasonable taxi price!
The riad was clean and the cleaning staff were always about keeping on top of everything, daily room cleaning and turn down.
We spent most of our time on the beautiful roof terrace, where there were lots of places to sit and relax.
I would absolutely recommend and revisit.

Our family stayed here for 2 nights it was the BEST experience ever! Exceptional hospitality and service under the most beautiful Riad in the heart of Medina :) Although cars could not enter directly into the entrance of the riad, they drop us off at the mainroad, they happily assisted us with suitcase and bring us to the car, so very attentive! It is our first time in Marrakesh and it already felt like a home away from home. TheThe rooftop garden is very comfortable to chill and equipped with sun beds to enjoy the sun ☺️☀️ All the staffs are very helpful and friendly especially thanks to Halim, Mestapha and Ismail! Highly recommend💯

Went to Sakkan for dinner and it did not disappoint. As it seems the hotel guests go out for dinner my family had the restaurant to ourselves which was quite the treat. We ordered the grilled octopus and the herb crusted lamb both of which were perfectly cooked. A great dinner in a wonderful venue!

Can’t think of a better place to stay when in Marrakesh. Everything about this place gives good vibes! Gorgeous interior, warm staff, good food, excellent location. We loved the owner and how she took care of things. The staff felt like they were nicely treated bc they treated this place as their own. They were so accommodating, would do room service & things that aren’t even on the menu which we really appreciated. The music playing all day made you feel like it’s a proper holiday atmosphere. It’s not the cheapest but you get your money’s worth! Loved everything about it.

As a returning guest at Riad Sakkan, I’m consistently impressed by the comfort and elegance this place offers.
