Riad Thycas

First time in Morrocco for Me, my wife and my son. We decided on Riad Thycas because it had good reviews, and the choice totally paid off. The house (riad) is simple but cozy, feels like home. Zaid was VERY HELPFUL from the moment we arrived late (11pm) until the moment we left. We were with my 6 year old son and he was attentive to his needs and patient with his behavior all the time, even buying chocolate powder for his milk in the morning. The riad is located very conveniently next to small restaurants, a crepe bar, and only 7-10 mins away from el fnas square. After we checked out, we went for 1 night and 2 days at the desert and we booked everything via Zaid at the riad. Our tour included camel ride, quad ride, lovely show & dinner at the desert, and a nice cozy modern tent to spend the night. All around our visit to marrakech will not be the same without Zaid and Riad Thycas. Thank you!

It was our first time in Morocco, and my friend and I were so lucky to book this beautiful Riad. Mrs. Khadija is an amazing and sweet host, she treated us like family. Our room was always today and clean, with great attention to detail. It truly felt like home, and we would absolutely book again!

Perfect hotel to enjoy your holidays in the center of Marrakesh old city Medina. It is a great place to stay with your family. They treated us like we were a part of their own family. Breakfast is traditional and fresh food. We are definitely thinking of going back to enjoy their hospitality.

Lovely place, great location. Enjoyed our stay. One bad point was no communication between staff. Paid our room bill on our first night, cash taken buy one member of staff… Then we were asked on a few other occasions to pay again by another member of staff. Also asked him to organise a taxi to Beldi with a stop at a shop… Taxi driver was unaware or this stop… Caused undue stress. Very dissaponted.

We had a wonderful stay here. The staff is super kind and helpful, good with communication too. We loved the building and liked the breakfast. A special thanks to the guys there to help us with earrings we lost. They kept it for three months for us to pick it up after. I very much recommend riad thycas!

Absolutely fantastic stay Arbi, Karima and Khadija went above and beyond to help with all our needs one of the best hotel services I have experienced, booked an excursion through Riad Thycas although there was a mishap from the individuals conducting the excursion nothing related to the Riad. Arbi went above and beyond to get us home safely. Couldn’t have asked for a better Riad.

Best Riad in town! I just got back from a 3 days stay and it was wonderful. Karima is super friendly and you just need to ask to receive whatever kind of information. She will treat you as she knows you from all her life. We have been welcomed with one of the best mint tea I had in Morocco and drank it on the beautiful terrace. The Riad is very clean, super cheap and the breakfast is so plentiful. I will come back eventually, I promise! Thanks for everything Karima, we had a wonderful stay in Marrakech also thanks to you!

Following an after race event across Morocco myself and many of my friends left ourselves with no rooms booked.
A friend from Marrakech introduced me to.
Karima and she managed the impossible. She had enough rooms for most of us and even brought some people to another riad.
Once we were all settled in Karima showed us to the roof where we had a small party and in the morning there was a beautiful home style breakfast waiting for us.
10/10 would book again.

RIad Thycas has an amazing hostess, is in a quiet neighborhood, and is centrally located. Karima is a very caring hostess who is also a very talented chef. She offers cooking classes and can arrange many day trips locally and around Morocco. The riad is a five minute walk from Jemaa el-Fnaa, yet the family neighborhood is very quiet. We did not hear any noise at all from the street. Karima can arrange a pick-up and drop-off from the airport, which is well worth the 15 euro price for a worry free shuttle to the riad without haggling with a taxi driver after a long flight. Her riad is very clean and the rooms were a good size. The price of the room includes a generous breakfast. Being native to Marrakesh, Karima is also a good source of information about making purchases and navigating the souks. We have actually stayed in Riad Thycas both times we visited Marrakesh and will do so again if we return. We highly recommend it1!

As my first time in Morocco, I would recommend this place to anyone. It is clearly shown that the clients needs is their priority. They will provide ANY service in order to accommodate you. Per example, as soon as we arrived we were greeted with smiles and mint tea. We asked if we could stay another night and it was no problem for them to accommodate us. We were able to leave our suitcase with them while leaving on a 2 day desert tour and they even prepared breakfast twice for us earlier than the regular times since we had to leave early. They provide shuttle service to/from airport and other services like cooking classes! I feel like home and the service is excellent, I will definitely come back.
