Maison Do

We had a very wonderful time in riad mason do. Staff are very accommodating and very helpful especially the lovely Abdul, he helped us with everything even finding us good restaurants and he is very attentive. Ali and Julie were also amazing and helpful. Our marakech tour was brilliant and much of it was because of their help.

Our stay at this riad was a total success! We were immediately impressed by the impeccable cleanliness of the place. It's really great that the room cleaning is done daily with care, ensuring constant comfort.
​The team is the heart of this place. Their professionalism and excellent service truly stand out. A big thanks to Ali Abdou and Julie (the manager) who were particularly attentive and dedicated, making our experience even more pleasant.
​The breakfast is a real highlight: very varied and delicious, perfect to satisfy everyone.
​The location is perfect; we enjoyed the tranquility of the neighborhood while having easy access to many activities and points of interest nearby.
​We strongly recommend this riad for a stay where service, cleanliness, and serenity are guaranteed!

This was our worst experience in Morocco by far!
Rooms are filthy, promises to clean were not kept.
Breakfast is terrible, not enough room to eat and the selection is less than mediocre at best…
Food quality is bad, and quantities are insufficient.
Hardly any staff in the hotel and if you find one, they are unfriendly and uninterested where the manners are atrocious and in general just outright rude!
Hotel is a scam as they promised a refund but after their promise, they do not even reply to any requests or emails anymore.
No refund was received.
P. S. The Management (Julie) will most likely reply with their standard reply, denying that we stayed there, that they add to all critical reviews as can be seen in their list of reviews.

But we were treated in a rude and disgusting manner by the hotel when we stayed there.
When questions are sent to them directly, they do not even have the common decency to reply to them. But they do have time to post a "default" reply to any critical review in an attempt to discredit them.

Best place to stay in Marrakesh!
This Riad is a gem! Everything was perfect since the beginning of our arrival. We have received the best welcome from Abdul who although was late, he came with us to show us where we can eat. He also explained to us in detail what we can do and see in the Medina and also gave us some useful tips.
The rooms are very nice and clean and also the pool on the rooftop is amazing! You receive fresh and clean towels every time you go to the pool. Also, the food is very tasty.
The Riad is very close to restaurants, shops and also close to the souks and to the big square Jemaa el-Fnaa, aprox. 10 minutes walking.
We would choose this Riad again for sure!
Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Can’t wait to be back!

This hotel is only good if you just need a place to crash for the night — staying any longer is not something we’d want to do.
The breakfast was honestly the worst we’ve had in any hotel or restaurant in Morocco. Super basic, hardly anything to eat, warm coffee, wasps flying around… and that’s if you’re lucky enough to even find a place to sit! They set up two tiny tables for the entire hotel — it felt like a bad joke.
There’s basically no service. One staff member, Abdul, really stood out — and not in a good way. His response to any question or request was always: “Talk to the manager, I’m just a worker. ” If you complain, he’ll tell you to go stay somewhere else. Seriously? I actually saw him being rude to a family with a child who had been waiting in the heat for over half an hour just to have breakfast. Instead of trying to help, he treated them terribly.

I've given 4 stars mainly because the staff did so much for us during our stay. Cannot fault them at all, as a family we had a tough time with an early airport transfer and they did everything they could to help us and went out of their way. We all appreciated this so much during a stressful time. They were so lovely all of them! Thank you!
The Riad is unique, and clean. The rooms are nice! However one of the plugs in our room was hanging off the wall (we had a child and deemed this unsafe) and unfortunately the area of the Riad isn't great and we had a lot of hassle on the way there. You can't park near enough if you have kids / cases this can be really difficult. The pool is lovely on a rooftop terrace, and they offer drinks but not snacks. The Aircon was there but was really poor considering the heat.
We only stayed one night and were very rushed and stressed and the staff overall made everything much easier for us, for this I can't repay them enough.

Maison Do — the worst experience of our entire trip in Morocco.
My family and I traveled across the country: from the Sahara to the coast, staying in all kinds of places — from simple village inns to cozy oceanfront hotels. Everywhere we were greeted warmly and respectfully. But Maison Do in Marrakech was a complete disappointment.
👉 We stayed in a suite.
One morning, we came for breakfast with our child — and faced total absurdity.
🔹 The hotel has more than 15 rooms, but breakfast is served at one communal table that fits no more than 3–4 families at a time. All seats were taken.
🔹 When we asked where we could have breakfast, the staff member just waved toward the table and walked away.
🔹 We were left standing in the sun with our child, waiting for a spot to free up.
When we finally sat down, we were served:
– 4 thin pancakes.
– some bread.
– butter.
– 3 peaches.
– coffee, tea, juice, milk.
Other guests had jam on their table — but we weren’t given any. We had to ask for it.
When we calmly and politely expressed our dissatisfaction, instead of apologizing, the staff member said, “I’m just a worker, go to the managers, ” in a very rude and irritated tone, then started muttering something rudely in Arabic.
Later the manager came over and apologized, but the impression was already ruined.
📌 We are not picky guests. We really have something to compare with.
Maison Do looks beautiful in photos, but behind the scenes — chaos, disrespect to guests, and no organization.

Lovely Riad in a fantastic location — close to the main sites but in a quiet (ish) neighbourhood. Rooftop terrace and pool is lovely, our room was very comfortable and breakfasts were first class. The owner and staff were a delight and couldn’t be any more helpful or welcoming. Highly recommended.

This was a nice riad that we booked for 4 nights and infact we are still here.
Beware there are 2 properties that cover this establishment. The photos you will see on their pages are from the hotel side with the exception of the roof terrace. One is beautiful and well staffed, maintained and fresh smelling. The other is definitely the poor relation and unfortunately this is where we were placed.
Crockery is all cracked and chipped, breakfast was at best adequate. We were left to eat the jams and butter from previous guests leftovers and the seating area is all one table to sit around so other guest have to stand up to allow access to other side. Today we went down to breakfast and it was all packed away and no staff available.
We went to the other venue and what a difference. Clean new plates and cups and a. Proper table and chairs rather than a settee. I could go on!
Apparently when you book your room it has a name and that denotes where you end up. We asked to move and were told it was fully booked.
The staff are lovely and helpful especially Julie. She offered to print our boarding passes and a taxi to airport which was very kind. So no complaints there. Sadly it just did not meet our expectations.
Just think it should be clear what you are booking online.
