I'm still here with my daughter on a father-daughter trip, and while I rarely take the time to write reviews, this experience truly deserves one.
The clarity of communication from point of interest was a good start. From the moment we arrived, our host Mustafa went above and beyond. He took the time to walk us through everything we needed to know, offered fantastic local recommendations for food and activities, and even met us at the taxi drop-off point to help us navigate the maze-like streets of the Medina. The airport transfer was seamless—stress-free from start to finish, of course organised by Mustafa.
The accommodation itself is clean, authentic, and above all, safe. Despite being located in the heart of the busy Medina, it’s surprisingly quiet inside. The rooms are well-appointed, cleaned daily, and always refreshed with clean linens. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, but the rooftop hangout space? That was the icing on the cake—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
Need I say more? Highly recommended.

Exceptional! A perfect stay in the heart of the Medina ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This Riad exceeded all our expectations! It’s perfectly located, with easy access to the main attractions in the Medina — just 300 meters from Bacha Coffee, 700 meters from the Secret Gardens, and 900 meters from the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa. The area is peaceful and quiet, allowing us to fully relax despite being in the heart of the city.
The team was absolutely wonderful, especially Mostafa — an outstanding host. Always available, attentive, and genuinely caring. He personally accompanied us to and from the airport transfers and even on the excursions we booked directly through the Riad. We truly felt looked after every step of the way.
The rooms were spotlessly clean and very well air-conditioned — which made all the difference after a long day exploring. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and clearly made with great care. The pool was our haven during the hottest afternoons — cozy, clean, and very refreshing.
Without a doubt, this was a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking for comfort, authenticity, and exceptional hospitality in Marrakech!

Another fabulous riad in the medina. Lovely staff, comfortable bedroom, big bathroom, excellent breakfast. Roof terrace with shade and sunshine. Recommended.

Fabulous little Riad in the heart of marrakech. Our room was fabulous and so quaint. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and staff went above and beyond for us. Breakfast was also amazing and the pancakes were beautiful. I would highly recommend Riad Sofia and would have no hesitation staying again.

Lovely Riad in a great location for walking to all the main attractions (few minutes from Bacca Coffee, Secret Garden) and not far from the Souks and main square so had no need for taxis.
Staff were very friendly and helpful for all questions we had and on an early morning pick up for a hot air balloon ride, we were escorted to the pick up point (being 2 girls). Also helped in the night when my friend had a bad headache, staff are there 24/7.
Well maintained, clean, spacious rooms and comfy beds. Great breakfast in the mornings, with plenty of choise. Stayed 4 nights and would recommend if want to be close to everything.

We stayed here in June and it was amazing. Really good quiet Riad with nice traditional rooms in an optimal location, the open kitchen, roof terrace and swimming pool are great additions, and most of all, our host Abdo was attentive, welcoming, generous and worked really hard to make our stay as nice as possible. Would stay here again if I come back. Thank you!

Marrakesh is a relatively short flight away from the UK. It is now a major destination for both independent travellers and tour parties. It is "different" enough to still feel exotic, whilst providing an excellent infrastructure to ensure ease of travel and safety. To me, staying in the medina is a must, especially in a traditional riad. Riad Sofia provides the right balance between tradition, comfort and value for money. Its location is super, in an authentic area, but still a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the lively streets. A little oasis to retire to when it all becomes a bit too much. Nothing was too much trouble. Karim provided wonderful hospitality and organised everything, from airport transfers, to trips out to Essaouira and the Atlas mountains. It was all seamless. Said is a humble and charming man who was always on hand to help out. We also enjoyed the best meal of our stay here. Authentic and delicious home cooking, miles better than many of the tourist restaurants in the medina. The roof was especially comfortable, and provided a lovely area to relax in during the heat of the afternoon sun. All in all a very lovely experience.

The perfect place to stay in Marrakech. It was inside the medina, so close to everything, yet away from the hustle and bustle. The main attractions are around 10 to 20 mins walk away. I travelled solo and felt safe since there was lighting and guards on the little street leading to the riad. The riad itself was beautiful and as authentic as it gets. There were only 7 bedrooms so space was no issue for those who like the peace and quiet. I went to the rooftop to get some sun and read books almost every morning and there was rarely anyone there, so plenty of privacy as well. Karim was a great host, very helpful and friendly. I got the airport transfer and the excursion to Essaouira (that for me was technically a transfer as it was my next stop) from the riad and everything ran smoothly. The only downside was that you do hear everything so when some guests arrived after midnight and decided to carry on their (drunken) discussions very loudly in the courtyard, there was no sleeping. But this is more down to the guests rather than the riad. Would 100% stay again.

We had a fantastic four night stay at Riad Sofia. From airport pickup to daily breakfast, we had a fantastic experience. The staff are friendly and extremely hospitable — special mention to Muhammed and Karim.
The location is quiet and peaceful compared to Riads closer to the Medina. This was perfect for our stay as a couple. There is a very short walk to the main road and we felt safe at all times, even when returning at night.

This is an amazing Riad and Zhou one is a wonderful host. Everything superb.

Food in Riad in arrival — husband is gluten free and Houcine got gluten free bread for every breakfast also.
Rooms are clean and spacious and terrace is relaxing.
Houcine could not help enough — he is a credit and so interesting to chat to.
Great location in the Medina but close to the souks.
Very quiet.

We stayed at Riad Sofia for 3 nights as part of my partners birthday celebrations. This place is fabulous made all the more so by the attention to detail from Medhi. Nothing was too much trouble. Airport transfers arranged, a wonderful evening meal and a treatment at their very own Hamman. Situated in the Medina close to the main souk and with many attractions, cafes and restaurants nearby. Medhi will see you right. A note of caution you will get lost when heading into the souk so allow plenty of time to get your bearings again.
