This is a very nice hotel with an exclusive feel. The surrounding grounds and area are beautifully maintained. The reception and arrival area are well presented and functional. However the pool is difficult to access and the Lifeguards are terribly rude and officious. There is also a serious lack of shade. The beach is below average and there are far better spots in Mazatlan.

Expensive and very low quality food and drinks. Frozen food and cheap overpriced wine. So crowded that personnel are overwhelmed and forgets something every time. Also everything is far away that by the end of the day you don't want to leave the room. And the in-house supermarket is 5 times more expensive than outside the hotel. And finally the beach is the worst in all Mazatlán rocks everywhere. A lady needed stitches after stepping on a sharp stone. Avoid Avoid AVOID.

Loved the resort, breakfast was incredibly varied. Room was large with an amazing view of the sun setting every evening. Biggest downside of the room I stayed in was that I had to take a 5min golf cart ride to the lobby or breakfast. This involved ringing the operator to request the cart, then going down and waiting 2-3min (not very long! ) and then traveling to the lobby. So in all it would take roughly 15min to get from room to lobby — walking in the heat was not an option, especially in business attire. Still a beautiful place to stay, 100% great choice for a holiday. Location is away from Mazatlan centre but in return you get spectacular sunset and the drive downtown is not bad either, take a pulmonia!

What an amazing trip. Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay definitely impressed with it's large clean and we'll staffed pool, good food, nice beach, large rooms, and fantastic staff! This hotel is by far the better of the two Pueblo Bonitos you can visit in Mazatlan and I would recommend reserving at this hotel over Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan. As a member/owner, the all inclusive deal is definitely worth having. Food, drinks, and Wi-Fi is included. We truly enjoy visiting Mexico and Mazatlan did not disappoint at all. The weather, the food, the culture, and the people always make visiting Mexico memorable! We will be back. Hopefully for longer next time.

We arrived expecting 2 studio rooms, but apparently they over booked, so we got a 3 bedroom villa instead. Excellent service from everyone, hotel staff, bartenders, waiters, everyone. This is a beautiful resort and we will definitely be back.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very good. A very limited law firm and two restaurants for a 25-tower hotel, and both restaurants one at each end of the hotel. Being housed in Nice village Emerald Bay we could make use of the facilities of the nice town Mazatlan a great advantage when one goes to the Golden zone you can eat at that hotel or in your restaurant that is in the historical center. Something I did not like was that we could not use the facilities on the last day despite US passing at 6pm and Check-Out was made at 12 pm. To be a great tourist hotel and all inclusive is missing some things.

Very nice, quiet, beautiful gardens and comfortable facilities! I did not put 5 stars because you can get one to the sea just a little more to the right side of the beach, because opposite is stony.

A delightful place, from the high ceilings, the green spaces and the spaciousness and luminosity of the rooms, decorated with traditional floors and colors of the old mazatlan, the place is ideal to relax.
It is close to the city, but outside it, with a beach barely útilizable with rocks, but very quiet swell and very extended beach ideal for long walks.
It has several restaurants of good standard, that if, it is better to opt for the "all-inclusive" if they will be visited for all the Meals.

Mazatlan is definitely 2nd rate right off the bat with a US State Department warning of "Do Not Travel". The resort itself is OK, if your expectations are low. Typical cheesy "policies" that screw the customer like they issue you these silly vouchers for money where you can't spend them on anything that matters … like … food. Somehow in their glory, this hotel has forgotten that Mazatlan is the "Shrimp Capital of the World" and they routinely serve frozen shrimp … where when you go down to town, on the super boring city tour, they have shrimp vendors everywhere selling fresh jumbo shrimp for the lowest prices anywhere I've ever seen. How the hotel can't actually get the fresh shrimp from the local market, or shrimp boats, to their own restaurants … I don't know. They'd probably buy their shrimp at Costco, except for the fact they don't have a Costco in Mazatlan cause Costco wants nothing to do with this place. If your expectations are low enough, and you don't care about your personal safety … you'll have a great time here. I'm amused by all these incredible 5/5 and 5/4 reviews … are they real? Or are the expectations of these people writing these reviews that low? Can't tell you. One thing is for sure, I'll never go back.

Even though the apartments are dated, this resort gets five stars from me. The staff was amazing and I loved having that feeling of being in a private apartment but with resort amenities. Since you have two very well appointed bathrooms it would be nice to have two bedrooms since there is ample space and then you wouldnt feel so cramped in the one bedroom with two beds. The grounds are AMAZING and the food is impeccable. Great location for weddings, social or corporate events. One drawback was the childrens area location and size as well as location of property. Overall fabulous location.

There are 3 very large and nice pools, very friendly staff, comfortable rooms. It is very large the hotel but there are golf carts that take you everywhere. Wi-fi costs 12 USD a day but there is an area with free Wi-fi. The beach is fine and the sunsets are spectacular.

Alright, so the resort is far enough out of Mazatlan proper that you'll have to catch a ride into town if you're looking for local color, but the on-resort amenities are everything you could want. Massive heated pools complete with swim-up bars directly adjacent to a private beach, plenty of activities, and an attentive staff. Price-wise, a little high for Mexico, but it's a resort, pretty much as you'd expect. I stayed at the Villas, and it was some *next-level* stuff. They're beautifully designed with generous backyards, their own private swimming pools and Jacuzzi's, the bedrooms are spacious, and the Master Bath has a jacuzzi bath and is, on its own, bigger than my whole bedroom at home. The quality of the construction does leave a lot to be desired. It's beautiful on the surface, but within a couple nights we started seeing the cracks, sometimes literally. The cupboard doors didn't seem well secured to the hinges, the dishwasher died on us and had to be replaced, the light fixture in one of the showers straight up *fell out* of its socket. Exposed wires in the shower. Not great. When the venue is on, it's on. It's overall an amazing place with views like you wouldn't believe.

I really had great expectations of the hotel but it is a total lie… The food is very good but the "all included" does not include anything… the cheapest drinks are those included and not all hotel chains are like That. You want to go eat and some restaurants cost something extra and where the all inclusive was… it's a Lie.

Great location on private 18 acres, off the popular Gold Zone area. Guests can use the sister property in the Gold Zone and limited gratis bus shuttle is provided. This property could earn a 5 star if the food was of better quality. There are minimal restaurants with some variety. This is considered all-inclusive but as we quickly discovered on our 14 day stay, there are many choices offered for a fee. I was quite surprised there was not much option for the fresh seafood. Shrimp was delicious but did not offer much variety. Although all beverages were included there again were fees for better quality brands. The grounds are amazing and well taken care of. The employees are 5-star and take care of every need with a genuine smile. Also every employee speaks and understands English very well. Housekeeping is great. The rooms are dated and could use a huge facelift, however clean and functional. All rooms boast a small kitchen area with pots, pans, utensils and dishes. Another reason for the 3-star is the double beds in the master suites, making for sleeping 4 adults rather uncomfortable and cramped. Our view from the lanai was amazing and it was nice to enjoy room service from the room. (Again, for a small fee). For a great indulgence, the spa is top notch and $$$$. The appointments are pretty much on time and the atmosphere will definitely put you on vacation. If you are expecting night life, there is none here. You will have to take a taxi into Gold Zone.

Excellent stay as always. Another great week this year. Angel is best waiter by the poolside. Always on top of things.

I'd never been to a resort like this, and my first time was definitely a treat. From check-in to the day we left, we had a magical time at Emerald Bay. The facilities are clean and constantly being redone to keep them in tip-top shape. The beach is rocky but full of sea life, and I had a grand time exploring tidal pools and surf fishing (caught a few grouper and red snapper that the resort's restaurants cooked for us). On the note of restaurants, they're all good, and our favorite was definitely "The Bistro" where the chefs prepared our grouper three different ways! The staff is fantastic, and I was encouraged to practice my admittedly-limited Spanish with a smile. I would highly suggest visiting the pool bar at the adult pool. Fabian, the bartender we saw most, knew what he was doing and felt like family by the third day! Iguanas roam the resort but aren't a problem, they're happy eating fruits off the bushes and basking in the sun. We really liked seeing them!

Great very clean rooms. Nice swim up bar. Bartender "Samuel" can mix anything you could wish for. Beautifully kept grounds. We found the Bistro best for eating. The beach left a lot to be desired.

The whole hotel is very nice excellent service. If you are looking for total relaxation it is perfect. But if you like the party, you'll find it a little boring.

Fantastic resort! Rooms are clean and almost all have ocean views. Food is great, wait staff around the big pool are awesome and all staff are super friendly. Can't wait to visit again!

First time here. Charming place. It's big. Has friendly and helpful staff. They need more staff as service is a little slow.

Very friendly staff. The food is decent, plenty of variety. The beach at PB Mazatlan is much nicer, but there's far less to do at PB Mazatlan. PB Emerald Bay is much more secluded than most resorts in Mazatlan. However there's plenty of free shuttles into town everyday.

Recently, we had our wedding at PBEB and we are beyond happy with the results, everything was amazing, from the venue to the service! We are so so happy we did it there, we had people traveling from Chicago, Miami, Boston, LA, Minnesota, Houston, Sonora, etc. And they all loved it! Food is so so good, drinks are delicious as well. The place itself doesn't need anything, it is beautiful and so peaceful. We stayed there, with our entire families and friends for most of the week. Everybody loved it, the spa is also amazing, they honestly exceeded all of our expectations. Especially our wedding coordinator, Valeri. If you're thinking about doing your wedding in a beach in Mexico, don't even hesitate, you'll thank me later.

Charge online! The breakfast buffet at 2 days tired, is not varied or very good. The food in general is X. The hotel is nice but not worth what they charge!

This place is less of hotel and more of a scrapbook to fill with amazing adventures inside and near the neighborhood. The pool is fantastic with amazing tasting food for lunch, allowing you to walk to the other side and have a fantastic dinner with you friends at their very own bistro. As a last plus, they have their own Delhi to get all the sandwiches, pie, and sodas you could ever want. Overall, great stay and would wish it for everyone in the world to experience the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay life! Stay fresh.

Pueblo bonito emerald Bay is a place that has many green areas with free parking for guests it is a place chosen by travellers and college is a place that has wheelchair access is a good place to go with children or the whole family to spend a nice weekend to relax is what I recommend to all people to visit this great place.

If you want the best of the best then book your stay at Pubelo Bonito — Emerald Bay. The grounds are breathtaking, the staff are the best of anywhere we have stayed. Many choices of fabulous restraunts and swimming pools. We love being in their Elite Program where you are treated as Royalty. The spa and gym are super facilities with so many things available to you in a pleasing atmosphere. We rate P B 5 star with the staff being A+++.

Way to pushy trying to sign up for time share. They say there giving a tour and it's not it's a time share. Also if you get all exclusive it goes from 12 the day you check in to 12 the day check out. The guy at check ou at 1130 did not tell us that. Our plane was not leaving till 4 so we had to sit here. With kids no fun. Resort is very nice and food was good. But mangers and time share people are rude. And when I told them was doing review they said ok. Very poor. We did want to come back but not now.

Very nice place, plus it is very quiet and relaxing, excellent to spend with family. You have different options for rooms depending on the number of members who ospedan. Account with the "villas" which is a place as if it were house with swimming pool each one of them. The hotel has a system of transport to another unit that is located closer to the city of Mazatlan.

Excellent service, very complete facilities. The bathing rooms could be better in function than luxury. It is highly functional. A hotel highly recommended.

A very nice hotel. We Were comfortable for a week. Your Beach has some rocks, but walking a bit you will find a very quiet beach for children to have fun.

If I was basing my ratings on the outside, pools and restaurants alone, they would receive a 5 star. The rooms on the other hand are not maintained anywhere near the outside visual. All cabnet doors are loose in all rooms. Tile floors are very warn, dinghy and there are loose tiles. They could have cleaned a lot better before we arrived. The rooms may have had a few coats of paint over 15 years. Plenty of beds, if you are fine sharing a full size bed. Kitchen could have had just a bit more counter space. Not really made for making meals. Good thing we had two fridges as one only cooled to around 40 degrees F. The Shuttle could run more often and they need to let you know where the pick up location is or your seats may be given away. Also make sure you check that they gave you the correct number of seats. You will need a cab or a shuttle to get to town. Cabs are inexpensive and the public bus is only 11 pesos when in town. Once away from the resort things are much less expensive when in town! All inclusive is quite expensive. You better consume ton of food and start drinking at 7AM until 10PM. Just hope you remember your vacation! DN.

We have been going for around 12 years and have noticed the service and food has gone down in quality Jose Monano at the bistro morning and lunch still goes beyond beyond for his wonderful service and friendship. Mai the manager at the bistro wonderful as well Hilario front desk assistant manager also went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We love the resort!

In that place there is too much to do, you're in a whole week and I didn't even finish touring all over the place!, You bring food to the room, if you are a Freelancer that place is good for relax, have the internet so that you are always connected trying to do your job. The food there, the food is delicious and the menu is not very extensive but not very small, besides that there are different restaurants which you can visit depending on the time, also like the restaurants in that they prepare everyday events for people to have different things to do and no other day is the same!

Very good hotel, very large and good customer service. It is somewhat expensive. It is recommended to stay alone, but is thinking of exploring the city, as this is something removed to go and come to the city.

As owners this was our third trip. Was not as impressed this time. It is still a beautiful location and friendly staff, but literally everything about our reservations were messed up on their end and problems continued throughout our stay. Stress and putting out continual fires while on vacation — not ideal. We had a great time withnour family, but it wasn't the quality of food, organization, or eagerness/ability to remedy problems like we have seen in the past. Huge plus however was the best hot stone massage I have ever had in the most beautiful spa I have ever been in for a more than reasonable price.

Horrible. Rooms are ridiculous. Bad service and really bad food. Has no good decor and it's very plane and boring.

Excellent experience within the resort. Beautiful luxury spa-like ambience throughout. Customer service by the local staff makes you feel very welcome. Sales people are not pushy. Highly recommended.

We stayed the first week in October and there were not many people there because this was right before their busy season. The food was always excellent and fresh with lots of options. The Bistro restaurant was very good for an upscale, romantic dinner. Our room was clean and the bed very comfortable with daily housekeeping service. ALL of the resort staff was extremely helpful and over the top with exceptional service! When you stay at the Emerald Bay location you also have access to the downtown Pueblo Bonito resort too. We scheduled both the Deep Tissue Massage and the Organic Detox Spa Treatment at the Armonia Spa and our therapists were wonderful! The Spa is beautiful and you'll want to arrive at least 45 minutes before your appointment to enjoy all of the saunas, rain/mist showers, cryo therapy pool, and hot whirlpool. The City of Mazatlan is a great seaside town and the City Tour to the Royal Park with the Casa 46 Restaurant dinner was worth It! We will definitely go back.

Good hotel, nice beach for photos but not for swimming as they are pure stones. If you like the pool and make rows in the restaurant arrives here, if you prefer the beach, the sea and eat typical of the place better stay in the other nice town is cheaper and you can go to visit the Emerald Free and use its facilities.

Excellent hotel Although nothing cheap, the rooms are type department, have kitchen so you can bring your super or pay more for the all inclusive, the pools amenities are nice and it's oceanfront.

I love it here! The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Our rooms are very clean and comfortable we have maid service everyday. The food is delicious and plentiful with a great variety. Pools are clean and the swim up bars are a great addition for your relaxation. The Mexican people are extremely friendly and helpful. We feel very safe here in Mazatlan.

Our stay here has been good but not great. Like most places, it's what you make of it though there have been a few persistent annoyances. Eating at the buffet, for example, can be a negative experience due to the crowds and poor service though the food has generally been very good. In other cases, staff have been exceptional, so it's hit and miss. The grounds and facilities have been clean and very well kept. Using the concierge to set up local outings was very easy. Will take away some great memories but will likely try a smaller, less busy place next time.

Just dropped in to swim. The pools were the best. Comfortable water and nice views. Areas around the pools could have been cleaner.

We went to use their pools, as we were staying at their sister resort, Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan. The pools are gorgeous! Beautifully designed and very pretty. The lounge chairs and area around the pool could have used a little attention… but they could have looked that way because we were there at the end of the day. The grounds were beautiful. I would go back.

This very well the service and is made if very comfortable all, today I ate in the restaurant in the morning by way of breakfast, we had buffet and places and gone was made me one of the most delicious buffets from here, I also recommend the chicken sandwich but with bbq, I was speechless!

We've been owners at the old Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan resort for years and had visited the new Emerald Bay resort but never stayed. The opportunity came up last year to buy a week every other year at an affordable price and the ownership at the older resort is coming to an end do it was good timing. That said, we pretty much knew what we were gettingand we haven't been disappointed. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. It's a tropical paradise in the desert. Tons of birds everywhere. Service here is top notch. Everyone is very helpful and friendly no matter their position. We had a issue with the ac in the room and the two guys that came at 10pm to look at it were there quickly and had a great attitude. Rooms are nice although the junior site is a little small. It would be nice to have an oven but at least there is a stove top, microwave and refrigerator. It's a long way to town, and that's the biggest drawback of this resort. They provide a shuttle for free to the old resort and it runs on a consistent schedule all day but you still have to build extra time into your schedule. Still, we love it here.

We just stayed there, loved the grounds plants amazing. The service at Bistro spot on and the food great in fact their steak way better than at the fancy restaurant. In fact all meals better than specialty nights. Our maid did our bed every day and room clean. The pools were great even swim up bars. They have all inclusive if you like. Personally I think next time we won't do it unless we get better price.

Everything was perfect. All of the staff were very nice. The food was great, and the rooms were clean! Can not wait to go back! :)

All of the staff were polite and professional but two people stood far above everyone else. Aldo, a cart driver and Yelva, part of housekeeping staff give outstanding service and have the personality any employer should look for. My husband and I, along with another couple, just spent two weeks in a master suite. It was beautiful, clean, well kept with a terrific view from our balcony. We had all inclusive for a week, enjoyed it so much we added three more days. Service was very good, drinks were excellent especially at the adult swim up bar where Jose, Fabian and the other fellow, were polite yet funny so everyone always had a great time. I would highly recommend Emerald Bay to anyone, as a matter of fact we are trying to plan a family vacation with our adult children and their families next winter.

The place was awesome, the instalations so much great. I really enjoyed the stance there. The food delicious and of course, the drinks made my day. Really nice view to the beach and the temperature of the pool's water so warm you could be there all night. I really recomend it with the "all included" pass.

I am extremely upset. I stay at end of the year, the accommodation was good, but since then not have sent me invoice. Call the next day that I left the hotel, they tell me that a phone there is to donate can speak, even or they take billing data. Asked to send an email requesting the invoice, which I've written a thousand times and I even respond from received. I call all cedes hotel nice people, and all say that there is a Department or a telephone line which can refer me. To book answer immediately, but to send me my Bill the ball is passed from an employee to another. Let me very bad taste to both luxury hotel and costs so much, they can not solve simple request.

The hotel is beautiful, but the food is very ugly and not to mention the room service.
Another thing… There is a location in Google maps that says "Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay" but is wrong and actually takes you to the cherry of Mazatlan.

Fully recommended. Comparing with other hotels, nothing to see, from the reception lady who greeted us very friendly, the person who invites you to the talk of times not shared, we are forced or pressured to attend accepted without reproach and faces our "I'm NOT interested". The employees are very friendly all. The rooms Clean and comfortable, the room has a kitchen very complete for those who like to cook and the refrigerator of the largest that we have touched. Facilities 10 swimming pool, gardens, etc, Only I agree that the restaurants in the area of the pool should close in a staggered manner so that the final closure at the time of closing swimming pools.

I stayed with my wife and two nieces in the week of 17 August. My wife commented that he had read comments that the employees atendian better to the americans than to mexicans by the reason of the tips in dollar. We arrived with trepidation. But our surprise was that all the employees without exepsion are very friendly from the lobby staff to the maids and gardeners. The facilities are very nice, the pools clean, the gardens beautiful suites with everything you need to cosinar if you so desire one. The sheets of the beds of very clean white towels the same. The sra. Martha Romo we invite you to a talk on the resorts told us that we might feel as in our home. And so we feel we thank you for aver made pleasant our leave {and if we will return if God permits and what we will recommend. Atte. Family Espitia.

I stay at the hotel the weekend of the 20th of June 2014 and from my point of view these would be opportunities of improvement
1. — The carts used to transport you it takes 10 to 15 min to reach a time that you asked for. 2. — Access to the main pool or restaurant is not suitable when you have children of stroller since you have to take a back non to be able to reach those places that do not have special access are only the paths of the carts, but once you get to the pool if you have to move between the pool. 3. — When you have the all inclusive package minimum than in the refrigerator of the room you put a few bules with water that are new because when I opened the refrigerator there was a bule of water started, and that is to my taste was wrong. 4. — The bars for drinks from the main pool are three which is fine but it should be close staggered, as from the 6 closes each and if you want something more you have to go to the restaurant to order it and since the pool closes at 10pm. 5. — With regards to the room only handles two trash cans one in the bathroom and another in the kitchen for my taste we lack one more in the room for comfort. 6. — The hotel bar is small but the bad thing is that it closes somewhat early. 7. — With regard to the hospitality and attention of the employees this well.
