Cheap hotels in Oaxaca

Simple accomodations close to Zocalo and good visual from open air corridor.

Excellent hostel with a great staff. I enjoyed my night here very much. The property was very clean and well organized.

If you are thinking of visiting Puerto Escondido, this should be the only place on your list.

Pros: Very cosy hostel, well-maintained and great value for money.

Close to the bus station and the beach, the grounds are beautiful, quiet and clean. Well equipped kitchen.

The cabins are comfortable, well ventilated for a very good rest. In contact with nature. Excellent service. Excellent location to the beaches. Happy to be here. Booked through Airbnb.

Had a great experience here, the staff were kind, friendly and respectful. A comfortable, authentic stay with very good amenities. Thanks for everything!

I liked it so much that I stayed there for over a month! Now, I live in Puerto Escondido, but know that I have a great, comfortable place to go back to when I'm in Oaxaca City.

Great location in the centre of Oaxaca city, would stay again if back in town. Quiet but social hostel, with a ping pong table and rooftop pool (a nice touch in the heat).

Maka hostel is amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ absolute best hostel. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and very nice.

Great place to stop and rest with TV air conditioning common kitchen and livingroom as well as safe parking space. Great price for all you get!

Good place for a one night stop. The bed is okay and the kitchen is good for a one time use. The neighbourhood felt a little bit off at night.

I stayed here (highly recommend! ) and tried the Huevos al gusto, Plato de frutas del día, and Huevos Turco. All were so fresh and delicious!

Has an amazing stay! Lovely staff and perfectly located between both Mazunte and Zipolite and super close to the beach. Room are super clean and the decor is beautiful.

I am not the demographic of this hostal. Being almost 50, but active and wanting adventure, I thought try out the pipeline. Most people in PE know of it, it's kinda like the weed hotel of the area.

Hostel has a super chill vibe and lovely people. Great location, right at the beach and close to both la punta and the city centre.

My friend and I had the best stay here! La Aurora was a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. It’s just down the road from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants.

Great location, price, air conditioning. Easy to walk into la Punta or down to zicatella. I wish they locked the front door at night/gave people a key or code to enter.

Super clean room and bathroom, and beautiful decorated. Easy access with code. Large lockers. No hot shower but the water is not too cold (and the bathroom is very warm so acceptable). Reactive host.

Great stay, cannot recommend more 🙌🏽 Rooms are lovely with great comfort, including spacious lockers that even have a little light which is perfect to not annoy everyone at night.

This is a hidden gem, especially for the price! There is a large fenced in garden which is beautiful thanks to the grounds keeper, Josefina, who is also the manager and housekeeper.

As part of a whirlwind tour of Mexico I planned 2 days and a night in Oaxaca, and ended up booking my own suite at this cozy hostel in the Centro district.

Such a beautiful hostel, super super clean and you can tell the hosts put a lot of effort in to give people a good experience, including loads of tour options.

Moïses is a very great host, he helps you with your questions about your travel and is very helpful.
The rooms are clean, confortable and the place is 15min walk from the city center, quiet and safe.

Moises is a great man. Available, helpful, friendly. Absolutely amazing that made my two times here super great!

I had a great time staying there. I enjoyed the hostel: not too far from everything, late check out, the locker to stock my belongings, the different art pieces on the wall, etc.

Amazing place, so close to bus station 20m. Very close to the center, or kind of in it actually. Great rooms and terasse.

We loved it! It is very comfortable and the recreational areas give it a plus, the little room with a pool and poker table is like new.
They have beer sales.
All the staff were very friendly.

Quiet and pleasant.
The facilities are very decent.
Clean and comfortable beds.

Awesome place with a great view and spacious common areas with hammocks. Staff were very friendly and although not advertised the kitchen was very well equipped.

The top/"penthouse" room was very nice with great views over the town and the sea.
Nice balcony with a comfortable hammock. Spacious room, large comfortable bed and a fridge.

Loved this place ❤️ loved the layout, lots of spaces to spread out… great views. Well appointed kitchen to use… and our beds were very comfortable.

Finally some real, quality service at a surf camp! The place is clean and everyone is friendly and helpful.

Place very well located, clean, economical and very quiet. I highly recommend it.

The room was clean and spacious and I felt very safe as a girl traveling on her own.

Super friendly and helpful staff. I did not stay here (I used their luggage storage service) but was very impressed with the level of customer service. English is spoken here if you are struggling.
