Eco Cabañas Laak

Hi, the room was very comfortable and every detail in the room was so well designed, I love it! You have everything soap, shampoo, clean towels and covers for the mosquitos. And a private small pool just to relax at night! Definitely worthy for the price. Also, the cabinets are not in downtown, so it was helpful that you can rent bikes close by to visit around, and move around the island. We did that and it was a lot fun! This place was definitely a place if you want to connect with the nature and disconnect from things, just relaxing 😎

The little cabins are very nice, clean and tidy. Because there is just sand all around the area (no paved streets at all) you carry the sand on your feet into the cabin. There is a king size bed, a big mirror and a very small space to hang or put some clothes which is best used for trying to dry towels. We had warm and cold water, the showers, the toilet and the sink were working all right. The little private pool was, although it is August and very hot, quite refreshing and clean. We have a refrigerator which is great just for keeping some water cool and frozen and a coffee machine with some coffee and cups. Although we have the ventilation and the AC running all night this does not cool much or at all. The AC is hanging above the refrigerator and points no where close to the bed or space. It should be on the opposite wall of the bed, but this way it does not work eco friendly at all, which is really a pity in summer time. There is no stuff present, you should call them when you are on the ferry, which we couldn’t do because we don’t have cell phone reception with our European cell phones. Therefore you can just hope that someone might be coming to see you.

Please do not stay here, you will regret it. Yes it’s beautiful in the pictures and looks like a unique place, however there is absolutely no AC so you will be sweating profusely the entire day and night. Water pressure is non existent in shower and sink. Toilet was having trouble flushing the entire time. The shower water was hot so you will sweat while taking a shower because it’s pretty much a sauna in there. The floor to the shower pools water and collects dirt and sand leaving the entire floor wet all day, including when you use the toilet leaving your feet wet every time you use the restroom. Tons of mosquitoes all day and come in through the holes of the doors and windows. The AC unit says 16 Celsius but I can guarantee you it’s 90 degrees. Flying cockroaches and iguanas in the bathroom. This has sadly been a very uncomfortable stay and we wish we never came here.
