We had an amazing stay and we will repeat it, by location, kindness of the young people at the reception, the funicular with preference included, the delicious breakfast and the brightest star: the panoramic view … spectacular! Day, afternoon or night. Unequalled. A must in Guanajuato! Total thanks!

Excellent view! The room is space!

I booked a room with two beds (for which I actually have a record of changing the reservation in exchange for agreeing to forgo a balcony) and they claim I did not. We had to move to another hotel for their error. The hotel refused to refund us for four nights! do not book here, or it could happen to you. My friend stayed alone one night before I arrived and in addition to that said it is very noisy and very inconvenient to the main part of the old town. Book somewhere else.

The only good thing is the view, in the morning there was no water! The rooms were not nice, the bathroom lacks privacy, would not return.

This was my first time in Guanajuato. I didn't realize I was going to visit during the Festival Cervantino. After looking at some hotels and reviews, I chose Balcon del Cielo because it seemed to have a nice view, good reviews, had parking, had breakfast included and people said hotels down in the center were very noisy. It turned out to be a great decision. The parking the hotel uses is city parking, but our SUV rental was safe for two days. We didn't even touch the SUV rental during the two night stay. The parking was about $10 per day (24 hours). We were greeted by Luis, who was very friendly. They allowed us to get into our room a bit earlier than the check-in time, and the rooms were spacious and clean with great views. One of our rooms had a balcony and the view was an unobstructed view of the entire GTO center, it was amazing. The Wi-Fi was fast in both rooms, we had no issues with water pressure or other bathroom related things, the beds were comfortable, and the safes were functinal and useful in both rooms. A couple of great higlights from this hotel: one, an excellent breakfast is included in connection with Casa Valadez which is down in the city center in front of the garden and Teatro Juarez. The hotel gives you a breakfast pass per person in the reservation, and we had no issue with the restaurant honoring it. We just had to pay the restaurant a tip, and it was well-deserved since the food and service were excellent.

Very friendly staff, there are tour services on the part of it. Breakfast included in the restaurant Casa Valadez, highly recommended.
Beautiful views, at the level of the viewpoint of the Pipila, very good hygiene and without crawling animals, has Wi-Fi and there is coffee and free tea in the lobby at all times. It's a nice place for all kinds of audiences. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at 12. It has free access to the funicular both up hillup and downhill. They provide water, shampoo, soaps, cream and towels. Spacious and cozy rooms.

Excellent service, very comfortable beds and the best view you can find in a hotel in this beautiful city is just below the viewpoint of the Pípila, has a funicular that leaves you behind the Teatro Juárez where the nights start Estudiantina 100% recommended.

This hotel has AMAZING views. Seriously wonderful. It's very close to the monument Pipila and has emediate access to shopping and the finicular. The down side are: the receptionist is not very informative or helpful. You have to knock on the door in the night to get into the hotel and then wait for someone to come open it. If you are out late or wanna be out early you have to find another way to get to the center of town because the finucular is closed. The walls are thin so if your neighbors are noisy you'll hear them. Our room wasent great. The couch looked like it had been a cats screeching post, our curtains were ripped and had holes in them, the bathroom doors were smudged also you don't really have privacy if you go in the bathroom as the doors are glass and the slide, again you can hear it all. We got changed to a better, cleaner more well kept room, but still felt the other down sides. Overall, if probable stay again if it was the only economical choice that made sence but I would be thrilled about it.

Good place price quality with pension for the car.

I loved the hotel all clean and nice, the view from the room is beautiful and the staff very friendly, definitely return.

It only bad with the hotel is that not count with parking own.

Date of trip: September 2015. The good: the panoramic view from the terrace of the room (although they can also have that view from the monument to the Pìpila), the room is nice but simple and clean and with box of security, friendliness of the staff, and luggage. The bad: the access to the hotel because the funicular is out of service because an accident happened approximately 3 months ago, so to go down to the centre it is necessary to take a taxi or go down many stairs, because of this, the staff offers free taxi service (9 am — 9:45 pm) and ask for it in reception, but to bring us back to the center of the hotel do not answered our phone calls to that passed by us and we ended up paying for that service, the cost of the taxi from the centre to the hotel and back is 50 pesos per trip. It is not recommended for the elderly, or have some pathology of the spinal column. Does not have air conditioning but you pay a small fan. The exact location is on the panoramic road to one side of the monument to the Pìpila and there will have to be down to approximately 80 steps to reach the entrance of the hotel. No bell service, so you are advised not to carry a lot of baggage. The area is safe, however, as currently there is only pedestrian access to the road during the night this only.

Fabulous, the staff excellent, the room's great to just all of a sudden the air was not strong you could be on the terrace, the cafe is great and the breakfast the best I highly recommend it.
