Beautiful private beach, powder white sand, beautiful weather has made my stay one of the most memorable. I do wish they had happy hour in beach bar, but nevertheless it’s a worth while stay. If your the person looking for serene and beautiful white sand beach, I would recommend anyone to come over here and rejuvenate yourself. Taraas is like powerbank battery, I feel so energise with with serene scenery and beautiful white beach.

The TAARAS beach and spa resort is great we were absolutely amazing at the quality and well furnished of the hotel. The staff was outstanding the restaurant was excellent. But I like too much bayu bar because in the front view is awesome and I like the service most important thing is that I really appreciate to the Mr Nitin he is Indian trainee he was always smiling and best service for us and everything get on time.

Wonderful experience throughout the whole trip in Taaras Resort. Received warm welcome upon arrived at the resort and check-in process was very smooth and efficient. Room was very spacious, clean and with perfect ocean view. Staffs were very attentive and responsive when everytime requests were made by us. The resort also provided an exclusive private white beach and crystal blue oceans to the occupants. Wonderful clean really white sand private beach, beautiful nature, nice specious cliff rooms, with huge convenient bathroom, higly recommended for families with children due to good sea access, turtles, corals. The resort & beach are fantastic! But customer service and food were bad. Called for 2 bottles of water, took them 1 hour & multiple times of reminder. Pizza made of canned ingredients. Totally disappointed with the food.

Great resort with friendly, helpful and service-oriented staff. Nice suites, clean and well maintained with great houskeeping. There is an excellent diving center with skilled instructors and divemasters. Everything is well organized and adequate, well-maintained, diving equipment is available. There are numerous diving locations available at a short distance. Highly recommended.

Taaras is a very beautiful resort. The whole experience would have been better if the food served at the various restaurants were better. Here's my unpleasant food experience which came at a premium prize.
1. Breakfast — at the noodle station, the raw vegetables that was served were already black in colour, meaning it was not fresh or kept in a wrong way.
2. Dinner at Beach Brasserie — My Rib Eye steak was served over the Ceasar salad & Mashed potatoes! its supposedly a fine… dining restaurant but the way the steak was served was absolutely wrong. The steak lost its original taste because the bottom was covered with ceasar salad sauce and mashed potatoe.
3. Lunch at Bayu Bar — McD beef burger is anytime better than the beef burger served at this bar. We only ate because there were no other choices but absolutely did not enjoy the burger. the food really needs a lot of improvement.

Ms Izatul of Reservations was extremely helpful for both my trips and I am so thankful to have known her. Same goes to 3 Maintenance staff who came today and fixed my room curtain which fell from the ceiling. They'll be back to fix it tomorrow. Amin (Bangladeshi) of Pool Bar was friendly and always smile. Excellent job. Receptionist were always smile and helpful too. Bellboy (sorry I didn't get his name) greeted me "Welcome back to Taaras Resort, sir" which shocked me with surprise. I felt warm and welcome. Overall rate is IMPRESSIVE!. I'll be back, guys! Thank you so very much for making my trip a memorable one. I will definitely recommend this resort to all my friends and family.

A great hotel with excellent services. Must consider this place again as one of the best destination to go if u want to have a holiday in redang island.

The best resort at Redang so far. I love the ambience, the scenery all of it in total. The staffs were friendly, the bugget breakfast and lunch were good. They served multiple of choices of foods. The accomodation were more than enough. You will never have any regret going to this resort.

The position of the hotel, the beach and the sea are awesome. Some pf The rooms should be renovated and same of them are too small. We had a unsolved problem with noises coming from electricity generator. The spa need a place dedicated. Restaurants good the beach bar and the brasserie.

I haven't been to this hotel, just passed by, but say this is the best hotel on the island. Judging by the protection and appearance, it is.

Amazing service. The resort is well equipped with everything you might need. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They have organized activities that one could join (swimming with the turtles, morning yoga and others). Different parts of the resort are easily reachable by the golf car, that you could get in a sec (just give them a call). Would def recommend.

Blessed with a truly beautiful beach and sea. The turtles next door, snorkelling and turtle lab on site were both amazing. Hotel is overall a very enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly. Rooms fine if unspectacular and slightly old. Downside was food and beverages a bit expensive for this part of the world and service at times very slow. Overall though this did not spoil the experience as we had a great time and enjoyed the activities on site.

Dream Place relax and tranquility for all ages to report several things: 1 The Resort proposes several activities to pass the time, all organized very well 2 rich and international breakfast; You can choose from about 30 dishes!
3 Beach and water postcard The only drawback that makes me take a star the rooms to be Delux are a little ' small and sacrificed in the complex Consiglatissimo!

Great hotel, friendly staff, tasty food, the cleanest sea. On the left side of the bay is a good home reef for practicing snorkeling, on the right side a few days swam to the turtles. On photographed rams large and different small, monkeys, squirrels… Our wife and I loved it! We will return to this beautiful place!

A corner of paradise on a small island in Malaysia: Located on a beautiful beach of Finissina white sand the Taaras beach & Resort si affaccia su un mare dai colori fantastici; Nice structure with extremely friendly staff and a general manager, Peter, particularly sensitive to the needs of the customers. The property is equipped with two restaurants, good the beach and Sea Restaurant right on the beach, and the rooms are spacious and pleasant with the suites equipped with jacuzzi overlooking the bay. Very recommended boat trips in the surroundings to admire the depths with corals and colorful fishes experiencing the experience of swimming with the turtles. Beware, however, to sand flies that could create some discomfort; If you do not know it, I suggest to document you on the Internet before departure for info and remedies. Finally it is advisable to stay for at least five days due to the variability of the weather, which with the sun gives real colors.

5* resort located within a private beach and bay. The waters are crystal clear, with soft fine white sand beaches. Quite possibly one of the best beaches in Peninsular Malaysia. There's a house reef nearby, with plenty of turtles in and around the bay. Stayed in villa 115, spacious and comfortable, the room is due soon for a renovation. Staff are friendly and helpful, but lack the finer polish expected from 5* hotels. The food is average, but with a decent variety. Access to the hotel is via jetty transfer from the mainland and can be a bit of a journey, but there's a flight service to the island starting mid 2018 which should help make the trip simple.

The location is lovely. The renovation going on was not a problem, but I was surprised that we weren't informed about this prior to our arrival. Staff were very friendly, but inefficient. We would generally have to make requests two or three times before they were addressed. My main gripe is the food and beverage service. So many of the dishes I ordered at the various dining outlets were not available or had just run out, that it became a joke. We ended up going off property for the remainder of our meals. I love this place, mainly for the location, but it is expensive and so the level of service needs to be raised.

Very good hotel with a beautiful beach and good beach beds. The service in the restaurants was not top class due to the waiting time and professionalism of the workers. The rooms were also a bit noisy from the rooms next door.

This is my second time to Taaras; the first time was in 2016, and I was very happy during my stay for both times. I brought friends from the US & Germany with me for this second trip, and they were very happy with the vacation. The first time in 2016, I came with a Japanese friend. i will definitely try to return to Taaras again in the very near future.

Update: Today received four cans of water with a kindly enquiry call.
The hotel has the sincerity to express the improvement.

Would you like to open a backpack inn? Still no tip, no service? Or do you want to speak fluent English with blond hair and blue eyes for good service? If this is the case, the staff training is obviously a big problem!
See the network to very high evaluation is also the Westerners let me have a feeling of discrimination.
From 5:00pm to 10:30pm I have to sleep, and finally get 2 bottles of water.
The next few days lodging may not be able to make up for my disappointment in this hotel, I am not a petty gain, is the first no water, swimming back to the room without water, very bad.

We had been looking forward to our stay at the Taaras but sadly it fell very short of our expectation. Upon arrival we were told that most of the recreation activities listed online were not available — there was no sunset / sunrise cruise, no cooking classes, the spa seemed to be shut, the hikes were non-existent and, most disappointing, the only snorkelling available was a one-stop, one hour trip. We eventually managed to arrange a 3-stop snorkelling trip from another resort but staff were really unhelpful in arranging this and nobody arranged for us to be dropped off and picked up again afterwards. We also wanted to visit long beach for dinner and in the end we arranged this directly with a nice man called Joe at the restaurant outside the resort gates. To be honest we just needed to get out of the resort and eat dinner somewhere else for a change. The breakfast was good but service very slow. The lunch and dinner menus are really small and the food was barely average. Where's the fresh seafood? Where are the daily specials? If these are your guests only options for dining — they should be exceptional. They were not. So many chefs at work, yet the food was so poor? And so boring? Rooms are also dated and shabby. We could hear every movement from the people next door to us. The gym was dirty, shabby and one of the air con units was broken. Overall — So, so, so disappointing. Sorry, we won't be back.

When I comes on the room after swim want drink some water, but cant saw any free bottle water. I thought maybe they just forgot put in.
Then I call servies say I dont have water that they promise latter would present to my room.

This is the best resort in the entire Redang Island! Have their own private beach so not to be disturbed by extraneous tourists! And the beach and sea coral and fish are well protected! Of course, if you want to low consumption, do not choose here! Go to Laguna and other people for the beach and see the Little sea fish! After all, the quality level of people here are completely different! Of course, there are other more beautiful private island resorts in Malaysia! Where they are more protective of the environment! The resort is in English! Of course, also strict selection of customers, not you have the money to live in! Of course, the price will be much higher than here!

Beautiful resort nestled in unspoilt nature, kindness of the unique staff. Pecche: The food of not very high quality. Watch the rooms when you book, there are for all tastes "pockets", spending a few euros more you can spend a dream vacation. Ip Sea is the top.

Very enjoyable stay. Our check-in lacked professionalism — the lady was talking on the phone the entire time & didn't even acknowledge our presence… a big negative. The staff though were very friendly and very helpful.

Absolutely amazing place. We had our team building there with our Swedish colleagues. I thoroughly enjoyed my time over there. I lost my watch, upon request they found and mailed back to me. Great place.

Most amazing private hotel beach with clear water and great snorkeling. Mainly I was disappointed as it is an amazing spot and I'd love to come back to the beach but the resort was just not up to it's 5 stars. Attention to detail is really lacking mainly in terms of service but also facilities need a bit of an update. Food and drinks ok but at high prices with no other options really close to the resort. On the Sat they also didn't seem to be able to cater for the number of people with long waits for lunch and dinner. I didn't have a bad weekend. It just could have been so much better with a little more care and service improvement.

Agreed with many other reviews, the beach is one of the best, with clear water and a small reef. But, service is not good, food very average, and prices really high. The rooms are ok, but dated. Gym was pretty run down and not clean. On Saturday they seemed to not be able to handle the number of guests and lunch wait at pool bar was 2 hours, which is tough since the resort is your only option for food. I'd recommend coming if you value a great beach, but don't expect the same amenities you'd get at other 5 stars.

Unique Location, beach and sea to scream, very spacious rooms, efficient restaurants and beach bars. A few sunbeds compared to the number of guests.

Magnificent Resort in Redang Island, very nice rooms, clean equipped with all amenities, very nice private beach, towel service, internal diving center with possibility to obtain PADI patents, equipped with three good restaurants and bar service in Beach, gym and games room for children, organize daily excursions and outings for snorkeling at other points of the island, wanting you can also leave the structure in hours meals to be able to eat in two or three restaurants just outside the gate even those Very good and definitely cheaper.
I recommend waking up early in the morning because the race for sunbeds starts very early!

Beautiful nature. Beautiful beach, in the Turtle Bay. The services are not excellent, but it is worth staying at least a week for the lovely sea. Only downside is the ride to grab a parasol and sunbed in the morning.

The location of this hotel is just amazing. The setting offers a wild view of the island, the sea. You can see no other resorts. The rooms are very spacious and well appointed. The breakfast is just perfect with a lot of choice (European or local).
A few downsides on the professionalism of the staff. The service is not up to the level of this type of establishment.
Also, the hotel authorizes an incredible extra cost on the annex fee: Boat transfer 340RM ar/pers from Merang jetty (off you can book yourself with the transfer company for 110RM ar/pers). The dives are at 175RM/pers (normal price for the region: 100RM/pers), the beers at the bar are at 38RM (normal price for the region 10RM).

Beautiful beach and amazing snorkeling. The resort itself is very old and has room for improvement. Food is in quantity here but quality is lacking. The only food worth eating is the pizza at the Bayou Bar. Breakfast is okay as well. Three days is more then enough here.

You have the best location of any resort in Redang. Best private beach. It could be a world class resort if not for the upkeep of the property and service. The property is dated and urgently needs a refurbishment. Service levels are fair but not great for a 5 star price.

Great experience. The Ocean Front Suite that we stayed in was spacious, clean and really convenient for our kid to get to the white sandy beach and crystal clear water. We would also recommend the spa as the quality of therapists and the spa environment were above average. There is room for improvement for the F&B, in terms of service and quality. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and will come back again.

Very nice hotel, beautiful beach. Restaurant a little too expensive, the quality is not necessarily adequate. Buffet breakfast varied and good. If not for other meals, one can find more reasonable just outside the resort.

A very nice resort, we started with a very bad room but on a complain they changed us to a descent room, everything in the hotel is too overpriced, or else a very descent place.

A great place to spend a relaxing holiday. For Russian-speaking visitors there is a huge plus — on reception, lovely blonde Aimee, which always helps and everything will explain. We are happy!

Stayed for 5 nights in 2010 (it was owned by Beryaya back then). Amazing location. Coral reef just a hundred yards out in the bay. Great food, beverage and service. Nice 4 hour snorkeling ride round the island showing various types of reef. Perfect for families.
