The hotel is new and the standard deluxe room is spacious than what we have expected. The standing shower bathroom comes with a nice rain shower head and the water flow is quite strong. The infinity pool is located at 13th floor and it gives us the stunning city view of Malacca. The pool is clean however the water temperature is a bit filling due to the strong wind at high floor. They have nice gym room and also Kids Room which is just next to the swimming pool. The only part which I find uncomfortable was the staff attitude. For those who are at the frontline duty, you can always see them in warmth smile. But for those whom I have met at the swimming pool, the kids room or they they are not on their duty area, they seems like quite upset with their job. Because when I walked pass and looked at them, they were just simply "black face" and ignoring me. This made me wonder, am I at the right place to stay? The other thing that raise my concern was the room toiletries set. The shower gel and shampoo are obviously come in a mini size bottle (24ml only) which compare to Johor Double Tree by Hilton, their toiletries is in 50ml bottle. Due to I have long hair so the mini shampoo bottle obviously is not really enough for my one time wash. The next day we have requested for room make up service by hoping to get another bottle of shampoo and shower gel. Unfortunately when we were back from shopping, the room although has been done but the housekeeping staff didn't bother to put another set of toiletries for us, and we have to call for it. Is it really so expensive for a five stars hotel to give their in house guests another set of toiletries by seeing we were going to stay for more than a night there? And why the toiletries is such a mini packaging? My hubby have to use the bath soap to wash his hair after I have finished the shampoo.
