Let's start with the good stuff — room was large and the air conditioning worked well. Staff were super friendly overall and had good recommendations. Convenience store and pharmacy next door. Can be quiet at night. At check-in room was nicely cleaned. Drawbacks: in our 3 day stay, staff did not clean the room or refill our water even once. No towels changed, no garbage removed, nothing — they obviously never entered the room. As we were out all day exploring this made catching reception after noticing this tricky. Pillows were hard as rock and so made for not comfortable sleep. Halls echo through the night so if anyone checks in late, you'll hear all their chatter at wee hours. Location is not great as walk to Kuah centre is 3km (okay if not for high heat). I'm an optimist and look for the best in situations but can't in good faith recommend this place at all. Better value to be found elsewhere.

New shoplot base hotel, comfy stay, good price, would recommend. Free water dispenser available. Need staffs who can communicate in good malay or english at front desk. Lady Manager good.

I cancelled my booking with few days in advance and the hotel did not agree to refund partially the price already paid. I admit my mistake but it would have been nice to receive at least something back… Scrooge!
