I wouldn’t recommend if there were other options.
I’ll start with the good:
Close to the slow-boat dock.
Nice partial river view from our room.
Staff generally nice but not terribly helpful or present.
Mattresses seemed new. Bedding mostly clean.
The bad:
Booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Was told they overbooked and given two double rooms. Not ideal. The kids didn’t want to stay separate from each other so 4 of us crammed into one room/bed — it was a king so we did fit at least.
No running water for most of our stay. At check in, we were told water was out due to power until 5pm. It didn’t come on then. Asked again and told water will be on at 7:30pm. It came on for about 5-10 minutes at 7:45pm. Didn’t come on again until around 6:30 am the next day for about 20 minutes — just enough time for 1.5 showers — yes water went out mid shower and never came back on. I spoke to people that stayed in the hostel and a hotel across the road. They had water so it was just BKC Villa it seems. Further reading of reviews seem like it might be a hotel issue. We skipped the breakfast as really couldn’t trust the food prep from the lack of water and quality of the hotel. Room was basic, no screens in windows, somewhat poor repair. Lots of bugs and moths but we put towels under the doors to stop most from coming in over night.
I’d recommend finding somewhere else. We paid way too much for the quality of this hotel.
