Pakbeng Hotels

This is another magical hotel. Try the suites, which are really good value, and which have fantastic views across the Mekong. The room was large and airy and comfortable.

On the stop of our Mekong Tour with Shompoo Cruise, we were surprised with an Upgrade to Room 10. Which we never expected but therefore exceeded our expectations: a spectacular view on the Mekong

A great lodge on the banks of the Mekong. Lovely welcoming staff. Super rooms with amazingly comfy beds and hot showers. Food is excellent quality and plentiful in terms of choice and quantity.

Fabulous room, great view but experience slightly marred due to poor restaurant offering just a single choice of USD25 set menu per head with no vegetarian options.

Stay the night in this hotel. Rooms are great overlooking the Mekong river. The owner might be the nicest man in Laos. Breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Super accessible from the slow boat pier (they collected us from the pier in a tuk tuk but in the morning we walked down ourselves and it's so close). Easy walking distance to ATM and eating places.

Very nice hostel for a night's stay while doing the slow boat. The rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable with towels and toothbrush provided.

Great hostel for a night in Pakbeng.
The dorm is spacious and clean.
The terrace is amazing, with a view on the Mekong and the elephant sanctuary.

For the price it was fine. Very handy to the pier for the slow boats. Our boat left before 7 so we couldn't get any breakfast but we purchased bread and jam the night before to take with us.

Location was a 10/10 with being walking distance from the pier and the happy bar and good food. The banana croissant 10/10 as well. Not bad for one night between boat journeys.

An absolutely beautiful stop on our way down the Mekong.

Basic rooms, the water kept running out as there was some damage to the pipes so we didn't have water most of the time during our stay. Dinner was ok. Breakfast was good.

A very cold shower, and confusing prices. Though they gave us a lift service to and from the slowboat. Aswell as breakfast and a takeaway sandwhich.

Lovely helpful owner who caught our attention off of the slow boat, offered a good price. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Air con and fan both in the room.

Three of us stayed in their room 12 on the ground floor our beds were actually very comfortable and the room was very clean. For 100k per person it was a great stay.

Rooms were fine. Clean and with a private bathroom. A/C worked well too.
Location was great for people taking the slow boat too.

Good value for money 250kip for the room. We just walked up and they gave us the room. Clean, warm shower and close to the port.

My sister and I stayed here one night while on the slow boat trip and really liked it. We would have happily stayed longer if possible as Pak Beng is a charming village.

Great place to stay for the night from the slow boat. Right beside the pier just a short walk away.
