Nomad Hostel

The hostel did not match their reviews. The rooms were dirty as well as the sheets. They made sure the toilet and douches were clean, but the rooms need a lot of improvement. They should close the hostel until they deep-cleaned the rooms and keep those cleaned on a regular basis. This place does not deserve to be rated more than a 2 star rating.

Honestly words can’t describe what type of war acts happened against humanity in this hostel. 7€ for for this room was so insanely expensive for what we got. All the reviews are lying, probably paid actors or hacked bots. There was candy in our bed, the fresh sheets had pee stains, there also was toilet paper in our sheets, absolute filth. If there was UV light we could have found the crime scene of multiple bonnie blue meet and jeets, these rooms were something out of a horrorfilm.

This hostel in the heart of Astana is worth a stay. Free parking, good Wi-Fi, friendly staff and overall quite clean. During rush hour, you might need to wait for a shower or a seat in the kitchen. But maybe this only was because the hostel was fully booked during my stay. But there is one big downside at this hostel: The beds don't have curtains and the light is very bright. So you need a deep sleep during all the late arrivals or when people need to get up early.
But the very best part is still the awesome location. In the end I can recommend this hostel.

Stayed here for one weeks during the nomad games. The staff were incredibly kind and honest. Let me check in to my room at 9am when I arrived by train from Almaty. I accidentally dropped my cash and credit card one day and they found it and held it for me. Very honest people! They reception tried their best with English. Convenient location to walk to many sites or bus is about 10 minutes walk if you want to go to attractions further away.

Hostel is located at a nice place but less rooms. Toilet is shared along with shower. Kitchen is available to cook your food.

Feels like home 💖 Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, they will always give you advice and guidance. Nearby are shops, inexpensive, delicious cafes with traditional cuisine. For entertainment, you can go to the shopping center for 15 minutes.

I booked the Nomad 4x4 hostel and no one greets me. The doors are closed, they don’t answer the phone, they don’t answer the booking chats. The hostel doesn't seem to be operating. I got into trouble because of this. But they collect money from bookings.

The location is great, everything is nearby.
The owner is superfriendly.
The hostel and the rooms are clean.
There are enough plugs to charge your stuff. The Wi-Fi works great. There are hot showers with good water pressure.
There is a kitchen and a small sitting area.
Free and secure parking available. You can even sleep in your Van in the parking area, using all the hostel facilities and paying just half price. Great choice!

Nice, clean. Every day they are cleaned several times. The cleaning lady always asks for forgiveness at the entrance. The administrator is also a nice girl who greets guests with a smile and makes sure everyone feels comfortable.
Outrage only to the residents. Some of them stink beyond belief. It’s hard to breathe in the corridor, but they ventilate during cleaning, huge thanks for that!

I don't understand why this hostel got a lot of 5 star reviews. Indeed, the hostel is clean and organized. The receptionist and the housekeeping lady are friendly and nice. However, there are no fan and AC in the dorm where I stayed. I booked for two nights, but left after my first night. Moreover, it was hard to find the hostel. I had to go through a lot of paths to get there. It was so dark at night, and many of the roads nearby do not have lights. In addition, there are not supermarkets and reastaurants very close to the hostel. It may take a15 minute walk to a supermarket. If you stay there and want to buy some water and food at night, you have to walk on some dark paths. Altough the receptionist and housekeeping lady told me that it is safe to walk alone in dark in that neighborhood, I feel that it is a little bit scary.

The hostel is ok for one night! The location is great!
The girls' room has bunk beds without much luxury. The linen is clean. There is a separate room where there is a shower, toilets (normal toilet paper 👌), you can wash your face and get yourself in order. Staying for one night is the best!

The hostel was nice.
The manager and cleaner were very friendly people. They could advice some places to go and eat.
Shower place was clean. Restrooms were also kept clean. I recommend you to have your own flip-flops.
You will be given bed linen and a towel. The bed was a little hard, but rest of it was fine. Clean pillows and mattress. They also have lockers which is so convenient to keep your stuff locked when you go outside.
Highly recommend this place to stay, bcs it’s good, clean and cheap. And the location is perfect, nearly 10-12 mins to Baiterek and other city attractions.
