The staff was very friendly and helpful. The minus is that there is no drinking water in the rooms, that is only in the mini-bars. I believe that for the price you can put a bottle of water for free. Also about the iron, the wire is bare and there is a risk of getting the current. In the room the closet door is not closed.

Interesting place, located in the old center of Almaty. Everything is located nearby, near Abai Avenue, Metro Baikonur, excellent transport links to all parts of the city. The breakfast was very good. If you want around a significant number of cafes and restaurants to different taste and purse. Especially interested in "street" food: very tasty and nutritious, and most importantly fresh and insanely tasty. So from this area you can always go and any district of the town in a tourist trip and as if necessary tasty and cheap lunch or dinner. Near the park. Baytosurova and the Temple of Nicholas the Wonderworker. Interesting places to visit. Recommend.

Nice place with convenient location, old center of Almata. Near all transport junction, near cafes and restaurants of different price category with mandatory and national and European cuisine. For budget Tourists There are a number of mini markets and very high quality and tasty, and the main fresh "street" food.

Cosy hotel with free breakfast. Elevator works. Staff all polite. Wi-fi.

Nice hotel. The staff really need to train a little, but in general it is pleasant. The food in their restaurant is on the 4th.

Very bad hotel When you make reservation for such hotel, you don’t have right to expect Hilton level of service, but you may expect clean room, sheets, running hot water I was given room which was smells cigarettes, it seems like bed sheets haven’t been change Towels were disaster First day I sleep because I was so tired to do anything, next day realize those and when I try to take shower which took me almost 30 minuets due water was either too hot or cold and very law streaming Long story short I there are many other hotel in this price range and next time I will choose one of other.

Full 5* hotel, European city type. For employees of the national Bank and AFTS discount on lunch (Swedish table). 2750 tenge on the market… per person. Documents are not scanned, it is enough to say.

A decent mid price hotel. English spoken & no problem with organising a 2.30 am taxi to the airport.

Luxury five-star hotel, one of the best in Almaty. Prices are above average. Very close to the hotel state circus and the amusement Park.

The rooms are not bad, Parking. For travel at the time. But the location is not the same for those who came to relax with family or to watch the beauty of the city. But you can escape from the wife and family away from the city centre. Everything was clean and comfortable, rooms have to SLEEP. Is where to eat.

The service is good. Housekeeping daily. The rooms are clean. Breakfast in included. The food is delicious.

A little dated in the decor but with the facilities adequate for a 5 star hotel!

I have had multiple negative interactions with Golden Palace Hotel since March of this year. It's possible that it's been bad luck, but when these things keep on happening again and again, it seems like overall it's a poorly run place. In March of this year I ordered a taxi from GP to pick up a guest who was going to be staying there and paid in full before his arrival. I find out the next day that there was no one to meet him at the airport, and he had to find his own way to the city. This would have been acceptable if I had not expressly told him that there would be someone waiting for him at int'l arrivals to take him to the hotel. I came back and had to wait until a manager appeared in order to receive my money back. Also, all the necessary flight information was taken down — arrival time, from where, flight number, and it was given to the driver right after I booked it in person. I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel in October of this year. While overall the experience was satisfactory (the breakfast is great, and the rooms are comfortable) the staff, management tend to merely nod their heads and not do a thing if a guest has an issue. The first thing that happened was a drunken (most likely) man was on the 5th floor of the hotel screaming out loud, slamming himself against doors — did anything happen? Did security come to see the guy out? Nope. In all the time I've been there it doesn't seem like there is such a concept as security.

For travel more than a decent hotel. The staff is polite and helpful, all smiling and trying to help. Breakfast varied and tasty. The room is spacious. The fact that a TV tube and nothing shows this stuff, and who needs it. Wi-Fi in room was stable. But the most important thing for me is a big enough pool and a fitness center. The location is also good.

The hotel is dated and carpets are worn, please don't let the distant fotos fool you. I'll post a couple pictures of my room. Breakfast was good, but I didn't get any sleep because the blower fan in my room would randomly squeak and startle me awake. I left feeling exhausted and untested. When I said something to the staff they were unresponsive. Wish I could leave zero stars!
