Rakan ApartHotel and Luxury Rooms

We booked through Airbnb but next time will book directly. Wonderful stay. Clean and the staff was very accommodating. We originally had 1 larger room and they offered us 3 smaller rooms to accommodate 2 families. Very grateful for the kind and friendly service. We will stay here again when we go to Petra.

The receptionist Lea was amazing. She was really kind and gave us a lot of helpful tips and tried to accommodate all our needs. The room was spacious and clean and the hotel is conveniently located at 3 mnts drive from Petra visitors centre. I highly recommend this hotel.

Warm welcome, from the lady receptionist, spotless rooms, good amazing view from my room breakfast buffet and good value for money. Just a short drive away from Petra’s main entrance. The hotel can also arrange you a tour to wadi Rum, Turkish bath and arrange a car to take you to Little Petra/ the back entrance, plus a packed lunch, and delicious Jordan food for dinner.

I booked this through Airbnb and it was the only horrible experience during an amazing 10 days trip to Jordan and Jerusalem with a 9 year old and a 2 year old.
This place is a Health and Safety hazard. Please avoid specially if you are travelling with family. We were given an apartment different from the one we booked (it was in basement so the views we booked for were not there at all). The door to the bathroom did not shut yet alone lock. TV didn't work. Worst was the gas canisters placed throughout the property that any child could reach. The stove in the kitchen didn't work. Bathroom was filthy. The steps leading to the property are all damaged, one of our family members slipped and fell on them. Naser (the guy who was our host) was happy to respond to messages before our stay but once we had checked-in he refused to acknowledge or respond to any of our complaints. When I raised these issues with him during and after our stay he became very abusive calling me beggar etc.
The place is on a hill so it will be very uphill hike if you don't have a car. There are no restaurants or shops around and it's highly misleading when the advert for the property says it is 1km from Petra entrance. It is a very isolated area on top of a hill, you have to literally climb up and down to get anything to eat. Not a convenient location to visit Petra.

Bedsheets dirty with cigarette burns (pictures) and toilet broken — no cold water in shower — boiling hot it burns. Avoid staying here — Not good for the value — pay little extra or same and find a much better place. The worse ever place we have stayed in and the host and staff not helpful — Lots of fake reviews on here from the place it self. I have pictures as evidence.

Hello hello. This is amazing, super cool and fantastically designed by local designer:) Frankly speaking this is value for money. Don’t expect Marriott quality paying 15 euro per person, breakfast included. Ok I would expect little bit cleaner breakfast space :) but over all is ok :) staff here is ready to help you. My daughter commented that I must be more direct:) it’s dirt here :)
